No direct deposit necessary. No minimum balance. Basically the only way you are going to get hit up with surcharges is if you are delinquent with your account. There is no bank that I know of that can offer the total package that First Bank of the Palm Beaches can. My only complaint is I have to wait 90 days to utilize electronic check deposits (not sure why) and I was unable to sign up for their online banking right away. It can take up to 48 hours to be approved. If you can deal with those 2 small nuances. Give them a try. I am not a fan of banks in general, but this one feels like home

Chase Customer Service does not understand how to help the customer, especially nonprofit…read moreorganizations. As an investor, the term "certificate of deposit laddering" is meant to benefit the customer while allowing the bank access to client funds based on terms. A customer should be able to lock money into certificates of deposits on a monthly basis without a penalty. If I want to create certificates of deposits on the 1st of Every Month, for any duration, then the customer is authorized to do this. The customer should receive the advertised rate of 3.4%. However, Chase tries to tie all the certificates of deposit into a ladder system to reduce the interest rate and not benefit the customer any more. The customer is forced into a 0.02% interest rate. This is bad practice and penalizes the customer. Now, my nonprofit must debate closing their account after years to find a smarter way to manage its finances which benefit the 501.3(c)17. This banking location (even the banking institution) is robbing customers of ways to maximize their returns; a perfect example of corporate greed.

I did not get the run abound and when transferred to the proper department I was not forced to repeat the problem over and over again. For the past month someone has been using my account. Since I don't really check my account I was unaware. The person who committed the fraud to my account must have known all my information. I have a pretty good idea who did this and can't believe he would. The bank was also able to help me file a police report. This was devastating and I was very nervous that the bank would not be able to help me recover such a large amount of money. The person using my account must have known my weekly pay. As soon as I called this bank, they helped me right away. I tried calling the 1-800 # first but kept getting transferred so I called the bank near my work since I was still on shift. My weekly pay of $4700 for the past 3 weeks was completely returned to me and an investigation started right way. This was a total of almost 15k, that Chase was able to return, a blessing. This is truly the best bank and I am so grateful to all those who helped me. Wouldn't bank anywhere else. Thank you.
