My probation was re-instated and extended for a year. She filed a motion and I managed to report to the court without ever being arrested or spending a moment in jail. Her staff kept me up to date all along the way. Here is an email I just sent her: One week ago at this moment I sat in Judge Stone's courtroom with my immediate future hanging in the balance. The previous day, sitting in a hotel room with my mother, was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. Knowing the stress she was under made my reality a burden I never want to endure again. Looking back, the severity of the situation I was in, didn't fully sink in until after we met with you (Ms. Jones) Monday evening. Neither one of us ate much at all, nor slept for that matter, before getting back home. This past week we both have been going through a range of emotions. Another aspect that is remarkable is how quickly everything was accomplished. I was out of court in less than an hour and departed the probation office at noon and was on my way back to Alabama. We arrived home around 6:30PM. Two days later I heard from Florida probation office instructing me to report to my local probation here on Tuesday, which I complied with yesterday. I am eternally grateful to you (Ms. Jones) for helping me; it is extremely beneficial to have representation from an attorney who obviously has the respect of the court officers.
