Both workshops I took were based on the SoulCollage process, which I have continued to work through on my own, and it has been incredibly enlightening. Her studio space is truly a one of a kind experience and is so welcoming. The only downside is it is quite a drive for me, but still one I would recommend taking if you are in the least bit curious about creative expression because Elise is a wonderful guide. She holds open studio Soul Lab sessions usually on Friday morning-afternoons but you'll want to follow her on Facebook for the most recent events. Tina, the owner, makes you feel welcome from the second you walk in the door. She greeted me warmly and showed me around her beautiful studio. She has many creative pieces on display that sparked my interest, from jewelry to paintings and more! She even has several of her books in the studio as well that I am dying to read! I came here with a friend to take a jewelry making class. I was hesitant at first because I have never made anything like this before, but I ended up leaving with a gorgeous ankle bracelet and wonderful memories. The class itself was extremely fun. It is held in an adorable little studio with music, snacks galore, and an instructor there to help you every step of the way. The instructor walked us through the jewelry process step by step, and was ready to jump in and fix any mistakes we made. What's truly amazing about this studio is that it is diverse. The Boynton Beach Culture and Arts Center is an anchor in the new Boynton Beach Town Square. It is…read morelocated in the historic 1927 building that used to be the Boynton Beach High School. The two story building has been refurbished and now has a 39 foot high domed ceiling exhibit hall, exhibition space, and teaching studios. The Boynton Beach Culture and Arts Center hosts dance classes, technical drawing classes for adults, art exhibits, private events, workshops, and classes. Outside the building is public art and two playgrounds. The Culture and Arts Center is a place for the community to gather and express themselves creatively and learn new skills. A full schedule of classes and events is in every Funfare Magazine, printed 3 times a year. This weekend the Boynton Beach Culture and Arts Center is hosting the free 6th Annual Kinetic Biennial.
