Great idea--except the bar was so packed you literally couldn't get within ten feet of it. No room to stand, no chance to order a drink, no staff paying attention. We stood there like idiots for nearly an hour while the restaurant somehow managed to be both overbooked and disorganized at the same time. Turns out they had some kind of event going on simultaneously in the main dining area, which explained why regular reservations were being treated like an afterthought. If you're going to double-book your space and turn it into a private-party nightmare, at least have the decency to warn people when they make a reservation--or better yet, don't take reservations at all if you can't honor them. After almost an hour of standing in a sardine-can crowd, listening to everyone else complain, watching staff shrug helplessly, and realizing we weren't getting any closer to actually eating, we finally gave up and left. We walked to another restaurant nearby, were seated immediately, and had a perfectly pleasant dinner. This place is a textbook example of how to ruin what should be a nice evening out. Incompetent front-of-house management, blatant overbooking, zero communication, and a complete disregard for customers who actually made reservations in advance.
