I had never had anxiety for a dentist visit before the last place, where they had tried to bully me into procedures that were not necessary so they could make more money. Luckily, there are places like this one, where doctors still care. Dr Schapper, Amanda, and all of the staff were so very kind and helpful throughout the process. The cleaning and the x-rays were even one of the most gentle and comfortable procedures I've had done (you know how those x rays things that go in your mouth can pinch and be super uncomfortable - not so here!) I actually ended up coming here after searching for an office that would work with my new job's insurance. Everyone I had called over the past months merely said, "we do not work with your insurance." When I called into this office, the woman said, "would you like me to call them and see for you? I know it can be tricky." She called, called right back, was able to tell me exactly what would be covered, and I made my appointment. Everything else continued along with this same kindness and help.

By looking at X-rays and comparing new vs old dental work you get the impression that Dr. Wood is very liberal when deciding to fill cavities. Anxious to grind up your real teeth and replace it with filling, but not able to shape the teeth back to their original shape. My bite has been off since. Apparently, he left too much space in between my teeth. He also left a snag that shreds up floss every time I floss. I had to go back for two attempts to fix it with no luck. It's going to cost me hundreds to get his work fixed.

At the time he wasn't my dentist but he was the rest of my family's dentist. Recently my dentist retired and Dr. Henke took me on as a patient. My daughter became a hygienist at Dr. Henke's practice. I have seen first hand how he treats his staff and patients! He has a great bedside manner. He is an excellent dentist and well respected in our community. His staff is wonderful. I explained when I made the appt. I did not want to waste my time or insurance money with a Dentist that could not do the job I needed.(I had already been down that road a month before) Well when I got in the chair at the appt. Dr.Haslam tells me they need a comprehensive set of x-rays for my entire mouth and this bridge is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars and he will probably need to bring in a surgeon. so they take a couple of x rays and Dr.$$$$ Haslam tells me the same thing again. so I say lets do it! because I need a new bridge. on the way out they make me a 2hr.appt. for comprehensive xrays almost a month out. this bridge is almost falling out and includes 7 teeth. I dont think Dr.Haslam has the experience to take on such a complex job, and just wanted to scare me away. But thanks for wasting my time and insurance money.
