As per HIS contract, our photos were to be ready within 45 days of our wedding or a $100 refund would be issued. 45 days, came and went and we still had no received our photos and or a refund. The refund was not needed, as our photos in a timely manner were more important to us. After text messages, telephone calls and numerous emails that went unanswered, he finally wrote back, apologizing for his delay, and that there was a family illness and he would rectify the situation by having our photos ready that Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning came and went, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Saturday I emailed him and said I thought we would be receiving our photos and our refund. He didn't respond, so I text messages him around 9pm Saturday night and asked where our photos were. He said, I'm sorry, I'm putting my son to bed, I will work on the photos once he is asleep. He then says, that he does not work at 9:00 at night and that it is family time.. I would not have texted him at that hour, had he followed through with having the photos ready by Tuesday. 2 weeks later, we finally received our $100 refund and the memory stick with what was supposed to have ALL our photos. Our wedding photos were on the memory stick, but we used the session that would have been used for engagement photos ( that we had taken already, prior to booking him) for our rehearsal dinner photos. I emailed him asking if we would receive our other photos on a different stick and he said no, he would email me the originals... Clearly that was not a part of his contract, which he loves to refer to, but I figured it wasn't worth the fight. The total cost of his services was $4,365.00. $800 dollars of that total was for a photo booth he sells as a part of his package, but it is a different company, as per his contract, there was only to be ONE photo booth attendant, and on the day of our wedding, a husband and wife showed up to attend the booth, when I specifically emailed Steven prior to our wedding confirming the number of people that we would have to pay $75 for their meals, he confirmed one photo booth attendant and two photographers. Steven justifies the substantial price of his services due to his impeccable retouching of photos and work he puts into a perfect album, although I did approve our photos for the album, I settled on less than perfect because we had such communication issues and frustrations with him, it wasn't worth asking him to crop or edit any photos. For example, there is a family photo win a large pole in the background ( which he pointed out and said he would crop, as well as a guest drinking the background), although I saw this before approving, it was not worth it to me to delay, or deal with this business, Steven, anymore, so I settled for less than happy. We are now 6 months since my wedding, we just recently received our bride and groom album, and our parents album, as promised in a email from Steven, would be received at the same time as our bride and groom album. I have emailed him three times in two weeks asking about the status of the album and why it was not received and all communication has gone unanswered. Steven has been paid IN FULL as of October 31st,2015. We however, are in April 2016 and STILL waiting for our finished albums. As far as the quality of our photos, I was not impressed. For the amount of money he charges, I did not feel he captured a lot of the details, guest photos or variety of photos I was hoping for. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, working with Blue Sky Photography has become my second job for the past 6 months, following up, emailing, showing up to his store front that he is never there and making phone calls. As if planning a wedding is not naturally stressful enough, having a understaffed, poor communicating, robbing photographer is the last thing you need.

He also quickly provided two past references that showed us their galleries and explained their experience working with him. We ended up booking Joshua along with a second photographer, videographer, & photo booth. When we met Joshua for our engagement shoot, he was very easy to talk to and fun to work with. He worked quickly and was able to direct us through the engagement shoot getting all the shots we wanted as well as ones that he thought would look good. On the day of the wedding, it was as if Joshua and his team were not even there. His camera doesn't make any shutter noises so even during quiet times during the ceremony you didn't hear him. As a matter of fact, he blended in so well that we didn't even know where he was at times. Just like at the ceremony, Joshua and his team blended into the reception taking great shots but also somehow were always around when a group wanted to take a posed shot! Turnaround time on the photos and video were great. We received a first look preview of photos within 2 weeks and our highlight video the week after. All photos were fully edited within a month! I can't speak highly enough about working with Joshua and the quality of his work. He is well worth every penny he charges.
