I applied on line through Air B and B contacted Brittain as I have a slightly different needs as I am a traveling medical worker relocating to Montana. I communicated very clearly I needed 1 RV spot 1 cabin for the summer would pay for both completely upfront but I was interrupting a project and would be gotten back to. I got back with Brittain when I was not contacted. Followed all instructions given by Brittian, to receive a message she had already put the spot and cabin discussed under contract 2 weeks before my move! Really! Very unprofessional management. Most of the appliances in the trailer not functional. AC not cooling and making loud noises. We were accused by the owners of something we haven't done and asked to pay more money. Overall that place ruined our vacation. read more

Wow! What an absolutely incredible place! Our stay at Flathead Lake Resort began when we pulled up and Natasha, one of the staff members greeted us with a giant, genuine smile on her face and a silly greeting. Throughout the stay, her, Jack, and the other staff at the resort, truly helped create a feeling of community, appreciation and fun! My three friends and I stayed in the Anker cabin, which I believe is one of their largest spaces. It was the perfect size for four of us for a weekend getaway. The space has a large bedroom with a wall down the middle, creating two bedrooms, each with a bed, as well as a futon in the living room. There is a good sized living room, a small porch, a kitchen and a bathroom. The space is clean and simply decorated. The beds were kinda weird (I don't know how to explain why) but they were surprisingly comfortable. We were so grateful to be provided with two large fans. At night time, we opened the windows and turned on the fans and it cancelled out all outside noises and made for a very comfortable sleep. We were all amazed at how well we slept every single night that we were here. One of the best parts of staying at this resort is that they have a small private beach from that is just for people staying here. To be honest, before I arrived, I was concerned about the small size of the beach, but half of the time that we went down there, it was just our group and a few other people. And there were a few times that we went down and there were around 10-15 people but everyone was super friendly and we had some great conversations. Everyone we met had a smile on their face and was having a great time. One night, we even had a fire right by the lake with about 8 other people and just had the best time telling stories and laughing. I woke up every morning before my friends and went to sit down by the lake by myself to drink coffee and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. One morning, I went to the lake around 7 am and the lake was crystal clean so all of the surrounding mountains were perfectly reflected into the lake creating a gorgeous symmetrical landscape. I also watched hawks and water birds fly by, as well as deer munching on the trees in a nearby yard. One day, my friends and I rented two paddleboards and two kayaks from the resort to spend the day on the lake. This was probably my favorite part of our entire weekend here. The 'boats' were really affordable for a half day and the experience was amazing. The lake is huge and breathtakingly beautiful as it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and estates. We were grateful to have a bald eagle fly over us with a fish in it's claws. We also saw a bunch of seagulls and a few fish swimming below us. This lake is very clear and even in deep areas, you can see through the waters to the rocks on the bottom. It's truly spectacular. I can't say enough amazing things about this resort and can't wait to come back again in the future. So incredible! read more

Pros: Nice staff Self check in Clean (albeit old and dingy) Cons: No A/C with only a barely functional fan available. There was no airflow so if you are hoping for it to cool off at night, it doesn't. Dingy and old with stained bedding, rugs, etc Bathroom door in Sunset "Cabin" doesn't close. Cabins are actually motel rooms, which as long as you know what to expect, it's ok for what it is. Loud highway noise even at night. Beach is tiny and there was trash and dog poop the entire walk there, so I didn't feel safe or relaxed there. Spent about 1 minute on the beach, even though it was the reason we booked this place. read more

Great deal for a great price. Small, spare rooms -- but very clean and with great beach access (about 200 yards down a gravel road). The hosts were very polite and welcoming. Just wrapped up a four night stay here. We had three of the cabins--Bull, Goose and Bird Islands. Every cabin has different amenities so we read closely before booking and each was exactly as described. It's rustic, quirky and fun. We loved all of the work they are putting into eco touches --recycling on site, plastic free shampoo and conditioner, etc. We paddleboarded and swam from the private beach in the crystal clear water. Sunsets from the beach are also stunning. The hosts were responsive. read more

Wonderful little spot in the world! It's always nerve wracking choosing a place to stay in a location you have never been... I was lucky to have chosen this resort!! I met some of the kindest people working there that were so helpful and friendly. Their laid back but attentive attitude was just the vibe we were looking for in our MT getaway. The pebble beach is just a short walk down a quiet road and perfect spot to jump in and enjoy the lake. We stayed in the Woods Bay Cabin and it was the perfect size for us to stay a week with a full kitchen and bath. Newly decorated and homey! Coming from humid VA in the summer, I was surprised there was no A/C but with the windows open, the breezes cooled the place down every evening. It worked great as our home base to explore other parts of the lake, Glacier, and Whitefish. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here! read more

From the moment we arrived, we were nothing but impressed with this place. We were greeted warmly by one of the owners, and even offered a beer while he checked in other guests. He walked us through the grounds, showing us where to find everything, and came back to our campsite to check that we didn't need anything else once we were settled. We saw he and one of the other gals who works here every day and each time were greeted by name. They gave us great advice on local places to visit, and were over-the-top accommodating. The newly renovated bathrooms are awesome. Single bathrooms so you can comfortably shower...super hot water...and they're free?! Are we glamping?! Very impressive. The lake access is perfect. Just a short little walk and you're right on the water. The sunsets are insane, it's a quiet little beach, and the locals we encountered by the water were friendly and welcoming. The vibe that the owners and staff create is one of community, and it was obvious that everyone staying, whether in cabins, tents, or RVs felt at home. We can't wait to come back, provided that the rest of the world doesn't hear about how amazing this place is and book years in advance. read more

This resort is a big disappointment what you see on the internet is not what you check into, please beware. Beds are old, I felt it was infested with bed bugs, Oder in the room is stall, rooms was right against the highway you hear traffic (they offer free era plus to there guest. We are out $466.26 dollars, we never spent the night I felt this mis-leading "RESORT" was a dangerous place to stay , you could hear the big rig air-breaking, hard to believe this place could stay in business so many code violations, This place is it not near the lake it's a short walk threw a junk pile of stuff. This is not what you except in a property when you come to Montana, the staff is so nice when booking your reservation and taking your money then they disappear and provide no customer service. The place is a real flea bag the photos I believe were doctored. My husband and I travel in and out of the country a lot this is the first bad review I have ever written! I did mention to Jen/ Jennifer I was going t write a bad review she said so WE have plenty of business this will not hurt us, wow I was shocked. Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean bathrooms, laundry room and beautiful beach with lake access. My husband and I tent camped for 2 nights, we did not realize how close the highway is to the resort, so there was certainly a lot of road noise, however we used the resort as a stop on a long road trip and the cleanliness and helpfulness of the staff made up for the noise. If you're sensitive to noise, would recommend requesting a tent site or cabin towards the back of the resort. read more

A quintessential lake vacation! From the restful, comfortable beds, to the clean, well furnished cabin, it is only a short, peaceful walk to the Flathead Lake with a pebbly beach perfect for kids to play on. We immensely enjoyed the impromptu bonfire and smores. It was also close to great hikes including the Big Fork Nature Trail and delicious restaurants. The Flathead Lake Resort is the place to stay in the Flathead. The co-owner Grant was very accommodating, even greeted me with a beer when I arrived. They just recently took over ownership and have been making some renovations. Be sure to take advantage of the private beach, fire pit, kayaks, outdoor community patio, it's close to the Raven - a fun bar with great staff, and then there's a brewery nearby that's had better days. All in all, great RV spots and cabins, great location and staff are very welcoming. Grant was like Batman, any request or question I had and he was there to take care of it like the Bat-signal went up. Can't wait to return. read more

This was our third visit to Flathead Lake but our first time staying at Flathead Lake Resort. The owners and staff were friendly and incredibly accommodating and the renovations were very nice. Our cabin was beautifully decorated with local Montana photography and nautical themed items, throughout. The beach on the Lake was absolutely perfect! We had a bonfire one night (Leah, one of the employees even brought us free firewood) and used the resort kayaks during the day. We spent one day at Glacier National Park, which was only about one hour from the resort. We will absolutely be staying here next year and highly recommend it to anyone traveling the Flathead Valley! read more

Don't let the photos and description on their website and hotel websites fool you. This is a run down motel, which they call cabins. When the girl behind the desk showed me my "cabin" it was in fact the shabby motel room behind the office. I questioned her, because I had booked a CABIN on the Flathead lake. I was told they call the rooms "Cabin/Motel Room interchangeably". WAIT..WHAT??! This was NOT a cabin, and you had to walk through, what appears to be the "bad part of town" to get to the path that takes you to the lake. The entire neighborhood uses this 12+ft of beach, so relaxing and sitting with your feet in the water, which, by the way, is the reason I booked this place, isn't so easy...or enjoyable. The driveways are gravel and since they do not have A/C, keeping the windows open in the hopes of a breeze off the lake, with isn't even in view, makes for a dusty vacation. I'm not sure who the people are that are giving it 5 stars, but in my opinion...it doesn't deserve the one star that I had to give to even right this review. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

I decided to go tent camping at Flathead Lake Resort, because it was short notice and I could get a reservation. We were the only tent campers there. The tent sites are very rocky and not level. There is no afternoon shade and the grass "around" the area was very dry. When I checked in the owner called someone on the phone and asked that person if we were putting tents in the "new" place yet. I wished maybe that I could have gotten the new place, because the "old" tent spot was inhabitable. The picnic table in the tent spot was broken and unusable. The one night we spent there sleep was nearly impossible. The ground was very rocky and hard. The slope of the spot made it impossible to keep from sliding down towards the bottom of the tent. The beach area was very nice, however it was several hundred yards down a dusty dirt road. The beach was also part of a neighborhood association of some sorts, so it wasn't private for the resort. I was very disappointed in the resort. Everyone said how nice the staff was, but I was barely greeted with a few words and never saw the honors again. read more
