I loved Liina and was disappointed when she left, however, Karen has been just as great. When Dr. Z sold the business I was not surprised as he was more into the treatment and not day to day business end of Aesthetic Solutions. For the first 6 months under the new owner, Lance, the changes were mainly cosmetic - new front area, discussions of standardizing the dress code to scrubs and changing some product lines. I was in sticker shock on my last two visits. My injectible, which was anywhere between $130 - $150 over the last 5 years not was $190 for the same amount - an increase of 26%. My laser touch up went from $35 to $50 - an increase of 30%! The prices are now much higher than other places with fewer specials being run. The "fun" atmosphere is also gone - the front office staff is completely different and not as friendly and the providers I have seen since the change do not seem as happy and it shows in their demenanor during services and even just chatting while checking out. I appreciate Lance is more approaching this as a business, which is needed. However, double digit increases in services is not something I was prepared to pay when there was no notice of the price changes. A few dollars, fine. But I budgeted based on what I previously paid and actually asked, both time, for a breakdown given how much more everything is. Once my injectible card expires I will not be returning and will be finding a new laser clinic in the immediate future.

My friend had recommended Youthbar to me as we had been talking about her migraines and our RBFs and how it's helped her. I called in I was met with one of the friendliest receptionists I have ever come across. She was patient with despite my many questions and talkative nature and when she couldn't answer my questions, she booked the free consultation for me where I could ask all the questions I wanted. My consultation was with Meadow. She was very friendly, answered all of my questions, and didn't push me on getting more done than I wanted. She made me feel so comfortable I ended up doing the procedure! It was quick, minimal pain, and I am so happy with the results! My take on all parts of this business is below. Procedures: Frown Lines - I have botox to correct my frown lines around my eyebrows. While the frown lines weren't terrible to begin with, this is a preventative measure to make sure they don't worsen over time. Pain is like a 2/10 for me and there were no scars. The effects started around day three. It was weird not being able to make my "mad" face anymore. Added benefits aside from how it looks are I'm not squinting at my computer screen, my headaches have been reduced to minimal pain or nothing, and I truly believe my mood has improved because of it. I genuinely feel happier since doing this. Lip Flip - My top lip would curl under leaving a line whenever I would smile. It has been something I've been very self conscious of and originally thought I wanted a lip filler to help correct it. Meadow gave me more information about the lip flip and we decided to try that to start out instead of the lip fillers. The pain was a little more than the forehead since there are more nerves in my upper lip but they kindly put numbing gel on before hand to reduce the discomfort. Minimal bleeding but the results ended up being better than I expected. The lip flip has softened my smile preventing my lip from coming up so high it make my lip curl and now it sits beautifully above my teeth and you can see the pink of my top lip! I'm extremely happy with it and it has improved my confidence to smile in my pictures again. Overall Experience was amazing. Dr. Pilkington helped me develop a comprehensive treatment plan to clear up my skin fast. Prior to meeting with her, I was on Proactiv; it took some convincing, but she eventually converted me to prescription products, which, much to my chagrin, worked much better. Then, I was switched from VitaClear (Proactiv's vitamin/mineral supplement) to Skin Accumax, another game changer. Next, I was subjected to cautery on my sebaceous glands, which was initially very painful on my skin (to me it felt like I was getting stung by wasps), but a magical buzz device made it relatively painless. Finally, I did microneedling with Tegan Ryan to attenuate my acne scars. Throughout this entire process, I e-mailed Dr. Pilkington several questions -- she always responded the very same day. Tegan Ryan is the only aesthetician I've ever had, but she is without question the best. Microneedling was a little scary to me at first (just the sound of it made me cringe). Tegan put me at ease with her calm demeanor as well as lovely conversation -- I didn't feel any pain whatsoever even though she made me look like she'd just beaten me in an MMA fight. After three sessions of microneedling, several scars have not only diminished but practically disappeared! There would be a significant wait, but I could schedule for a cosmetic consult, and I could not have medical concerns addressed at such a visit.
