I really enjoy coffee and one of my favorite things to do when I travel anywhere is trying out someplace new. Flatlands was recommended to me by a friend who had been before and swore it was the best coffee and experience he had ever had. He was not wrong. If anything he undersold it. Environment is outstanding, owner and staff are TOP notch. Every business should have the passion for what they do as the people who work at Flatlands. They don't do flavors, they don't do frill, they just make you the best cup of coffee you will ever have in your life. I got mine to go and I wasn't three blocks away before I went back to get another one for the road because my first one was not going to last long. Flatlands was the first destination I put in google maps when I came to Bowling Green to visit to see if I wanted to move here from Chicagoland for my PhD program, and the experience surpassed all my expectations! Their coffee is top notch (you get what you pay for!), the environment is comfortable and refined, the staff are incredibly personable; putting care into every order, and plus the Wifi is the best of any coffee shop in town. There are so many different locations in Bowling Green to get coffee but this one has found its own niche and does it perfectly. The inside is clean, minimalistic and bright. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. The menu stays relatively the same but you get the chance to order your favorite drink with a twist because they are always bringing in coffee from new and amazing brands. Their Dulce Latte and scones are amazing. This is a coffee shop a little more pricey compared to others however you can taste the high quality in every cup. Not only are their products great, their service is amazing. The employees are all very friendly and pleasant to have small conversations with. I recieved some of the best life advice just sitting at the counter. This is my absolute favorite coffee shop to go in Bowling Green. The staff is friendly every time I walk in and they're very knowledgeable about all of their menu items! Their food, coffee, and tea are delicious and I have never been disappointed. The environment is modern, clean, and great for studying or just catching up with a friend! Came down here to try something different than my normal Starbucks order. The white walls, front windows, and modern lighting made the space open and inviting.
