The hottest salsa with a sweet flavor to counter the heat!
    Jenny F.

I'm a hot sauce freak and love the spiciest sauces. This place is homemade salsa & hot sauces and they had me sweating!!! - which is hard to do. Stella was so knowledgeable & helpful. She let me try as many sauces as I wanted & was so fun to talk to while I died a little. They do ship and will be ordering more of their products in the future!! 10/10 great little shop!

    Xhot and tastey!

As the Columbus Wing King, Cajohn's and I have known each other for years. While their products go beyond wings into salsa, barbeque and other sauces, we do share a philosophy on all things hot. It can be super hot, but it must still have a good taste as evidenced by their X-hot salsa line. Very hot, (extremely hot to some of you ladies) but still with a lot of taste. For those of you who thing you have to prove your manhood on something killer hot, you can find that here too. Liquid Stupid comes to mind. If you want to find out everything about all things hot, stop in for a visit, sample, and a few words.

CaJohn's is a must stop in the North Market, to get some of the best hot sauce. I alway have some free samples whenever I'm in there. This is a locally owned company that won't use any preservatives in their products. It's a great way to support the local economy. What's most important is the hot sauce there is incredibly good and really hot. It's got lots of hot sauces and other items. It's one of the most popular places in the North Market to sample. There's always chips to sample them with. It's usually about $8 to $10 for a bottle. This is premium hot sauce and it's locally made so that's why it costs more. In addition to hot sauce, they also have barbeque sauce and salsa. These also should be tried. I like some of the milder and sweeter salsas, like peach. The hotter ones are still the best. Whichever you choose, it's high quality and full of flavor. It seemingly has an endless variety and there are different samples each time. Try not to burn your mouth with the real hot ones. I think CaJohns is one of Columbus's best small businesses. They also have a store in Westerville, so you won't have to come all the way here. This is highly recommended for hot sauce fans and overall small business supporters.

So I came to this place without ever hearing about it before and let me tell you. It sets a high bar. Fantastic salsas ranging in heat, and a really good $6 base price. Not to mention the hot sauce and barbecue. Next time your in the north market. Make sure to stop by. I really enjoyed the peach salsa and the Hot sauces. Great flavor feels very fresh. Service was excellent. You do have to pay for parking but if you buy something and get it validated it's really cheap. Try it out

CaJohns salsa are awesome, plain and simple. My girlfriend and I are both salsa fanatics, and I always have to bring some CaJohns back to Charlotte when I'm on break from classes at OSU. I've tried a few of their hot sauces (only bought one total), and they all seem pretty tasty as well. They have any range of spice you can want for both the salsas and hot sauces - everything from kid friendly to feeling like a fire breathing dragon. The prices are a bit steep, even in comparison to some other gourmet salsas and sauces, but the quality is superb so I can't complain. The workers always seem very friendly and helpful (without being pushy) as well.

I was not familiar with Bexley Natural Market but saw from the Too Good Eats website that the market carried them so off I went exploring. Parkign lot is limited and that area of Cassady Avenue was a little busy but I was able to get in and out ok and find a spot to park. The staff interaction was ok but REALLY missed an opportunity to sell the market and what they are about. I had asked about the membership and the bland explanations really didn't say much at all and the interaction was not very inviting and kind of dismissive. I would have been happy that some new traffic came in and showed an interest. Anyway, the market offers all kinds of items from produce, vegan options, natural drinks, and grocery items. It appears the main focus is supporting local farmers and vendors in the area. I will come back and take another look around but was super happy they had the drinks I liked. If interested- I found online that the membersip is $30 one-time payment and annual dues of $45 that provides 5% to 8% off and monthly coupons & promotions valued at $100 a year in savings. They also offer member-only events and activities. I found out more about the store from their website, if interested, you can check them out at www.bexleynatrualmarket.org.

But there is a spirits section and a local pop section and then local bakery! Her eyes grew wide as she asked, "why are you making Kim chee, you can buy it!". when I told her that I just becoming familiar with Korean food and knew that it was a staple in most Korean homes I wanted to learn to make it, she said "okay, let me help you get started " and she selected the powdered chili and then took me to the produce department to replace the vegetables in my cart with the correct products. This was the best thing ever about my shopping experiences at Saraga. Two weeks ago I shopped at Saraga for the last time. The aisles are packed with boxes and the floors and shelves are dirty, especially in the south Asian areas and near the Halal meat market. there is a frozen meat case with spices stacked on top that smells putrid. I'll bet there are meat products in there that date from the store's opening. The dry foods areas are in disarray, lack price tags etc. The only food shelves that are neat and clean and easy to use are in the Mexican aisle. The cooled shelves in the fresh produce section are filthy and clearly outdated merchandise is not removed or reduced in price. Finally, the parking lot has ruts, holes and trash thrown everywhere.
