While we had SOME posed pictures, most of them were "in the moment" - this was important for us because my husband isn't a great "posed picture" kinda guy....and you would have NEVER known otherwise when we got them back. ...and the WEDDING! I was making a "scrap book" of a significant trip that I took in honor of my grandfather (right before I found out that he was in hospice) so getting these photos was a big deal. I messed up my own deliverable and needed to edit it and send it back to them to print. I called and they made sure they would put my two separate orders in but package them together for me. Grace was very nice and understanding about this entire thing. I then kept bugging Jake and asked about selling gear (because my stuff is just sitting), so I picked up the prints and brought my DSLR. Where do I begin? I used to work for Wilson Sarkis when I was in high school (2004-2005). I…read moreorganized the proof albums and looked through all the photographs, in awe of his talent and eye for capturing the most beautiful moments on a couple's wedding day. I told myself, at age 18, when I get married Wilson will be my photographer... Fast forward to 2011, when my then-fiance now-husband proposed to me, the first call I made was to Wilson. I wanted to make sure he was available to photograph our wedding day as I had ensured in my head years prior. Thankfully, we picked a date that worked for all and hired him on the spot. When it came time for shooting, Wilson observed our personalities and made sure that that was evident in our photos. We had an engagement session that truly spoke to the nature of our relationship. Being quite sentimental, this meant a lot to me and my hubby. From the location to the poses, he directed us to look our best. When it came time to choose pictures for our album, he edited our photos to look as if you were standing with us in the park and city. They didn't look overdone or unnatural, which was also important to me. I hate seeing pictures that look as if they have been Photoshopped to the point that you're unrecognizable. Whatever I wanted done, I got his signature "you got it," which he always delivered as promised. On our wedding day, Wilson arrived on time, prepared, and professional, with all of his gear and a great attitude. He made me feel confident in my nervous moments, proud in my shy moments, and free to be myself as the blushing, happy bride. I never worried that he would miss a shot....and he didn't. Every detail was captured, every sincere moment, candids, you name it. When I got my wedding photos back, I cried. I re-live that beautiful day every time I see them. I am grateful and thankful for my job back in 2004 and for him taking away any unneeded stress on the day of our wedding.
