I had a different yet equally incompetent experience with them. I bought 2 of the Teambuy deal tickets for the full detail service, likely a couple months ago now. I tried calling on about 4 different days but could never get an answer, finally I left a message that I wanted to have work done on my car. 8 days later - still no call back. I called again and left a message, they returned the call 5 minutes later this time and scheduled me in for Wednesday of the following week for a 12:00 noon valet pick-up in downtown Halifax. Noon came and went, so did 1, 2 and 3 pm. I called and left a message. I called again, oddly enough one of them picked up the phone, this was around 5:00 PM. When I asked what why they didn't show up or at least call I received this response - "Uhh well.... I lost the appointment book, I tried to import it into Excel but that didn't work...." "I'll call you for pick-up tomorrow at 9:30 A.M. if that's okay?". By now I'm becoming really skeptical! Next day, 9:30 A.M. comes and goes without contact. He finally calls me at 12:00 noon saying he'll be there within half hour. He walked into my workplace at 3:05 P.M.! I asked if he had paperwork for the valet pick-up, of course there was none!!!!! Just picked up my Ford Focus from Malcolm a few hours ago. I bought a groupon for an interior/exterior clean. Car went in dirty, car came out clean. Fantastic job for the price. He only charged me the taxes. I reached into my wallet to give him $40 and he stopped me and said "$10 is fine, just come back." Seems like someone who is in it for real, who takes real pride in his work and ability to maintain a customer base through just doing good work on vehicles that need it. I don't understand the bad reviews, and I'm skeptical of how genuine the reviewers are being. There's always other circumstances that the reviewer doesn't reveal in a bad review. The reality that I saw was that Malcolm is trying to do more with less. When I went there, he had a ton of work on his plate and his business partner was away. So go in expecting a competent and capable mechanic who won't beat around the bush, and charges better prices then the competition. Although I had to drop my car off and bus to work and then pick it up at the end of the day, this was acceptable given the excellent price vs level of service I received. I dropped my car off today to Malcolm and was VERY pleasantly surprised when I picked it up. No animal fur, no salt, no rocks and it smelled great! Malcolm and his crew also looked over my car and pointed out a small hitch in the back that was damaged. He offered to get the piece and have me come back to replace it at no cost. Amazing! Where do I begin. My wife bought a Groupon for a interior/exterior detailing. We booked the appt over 2 weeks in advance. Please google the location as it's not easy to find. It's tucked away behind the back of a building in the corner, very easy to miss. Look for the junk yard of cars. The enterence is a grey steel windowless door that simply says Unit L like a prison cell. There is no business logos anywhere. I parked my SUV in the gravel parking maze and nervously poked my head in the door. I took a few steps inside and with a hard swallow said "Hello? " The inside was disorganized and looked condemned. A gentleman popped up from behind a car and said" Yea? " I had one hand on the door and my fight or flight sense was going off big time. I said" Is this Flawless Autoworx?" and he said Yea are you hear to drop off a detail. I'll be honest. At that exact second my first thought was Nope. I nervously said yes. He welcomed me in and I clearly stated I bought the Groupon deal. He looked at me and said let me go have a look at your vechile. Let me tell you, I feel I keep my car in great condition. I really wanted the windows cleaned and the inside shampooed etc. We go outside and I point to my car. It's the one that's not falling apart I thought. He charged towards it and like a dog who escaped its owners grasp, bullseyed right in on a small amount of damage I had on my rear quarter panel from a mishap several years previous. He said excitedly "Want a quote for that." I was taken aback and thought ok. Im here for a detail. He then opened the back door and giggled and I said what's wrong. Nothing he said I thought you said you had kids. I said I do but I take care of my vechile. He then said this is an SUV it's an extra $30. I said REALLY? and he said yup and we don't Shampoo........ I was shocked. At this point the Groupon was paid for so I agreed praying my SUV would be in one piece when I returned. He said give us a couple hours. This was at 9:30 am. I popped back at 2:30 pm and called them while in the parking lot. No answer. My car no where in sight. I waited a few min called again no answer. I was begining to think of calling the police. Finally after 10 more minutes I called and a guy answered and told me it wasnt ready yet. In the same breath he said it's $30 more as its an SUV.! I said I was made very aware of that. He then said and you need to pay tax on the work ... so $40 total. At this moment I knew we were in trouble. I returned back 45 min later and found my car in the muddy gravel pit they call a parking lot. I thought Perfect mud on the car I just paid $60 to have cleaned and now owe another $40. I took a peek in the window and was shocked. Not only did they not shampoo they didn't vacuum either. WTH. WHAT DID I PAY FOR.?? I quickly went inside as to get out just as quick so I could go home and vacuum my vechile. I was greeted by 2 men sitting around doing nothing. He had my keys in his pocket and didn't offer them up. I said, I owe you some money. Where is your debit machine back there. He then said no debit cash or credit. Lol well no one told me this. All I had was debit. He asked if I could email transfer him the money. I agreed and did it on the spot. The only way to describe the feeling was being frisked at the airport. After he recieved the money he then went over the quote for the damage he spotted like a cobra hunting rats. He didn't return my keys until he was finished detailing the work he could do. Said cash job I'll give you a good deal. He extended his hand. I looked at it and said my keys please. He laughed and grabbed them from his pocket and I sprinted for the door like an inmate on early release. Do not, I repeat do not put yourself through the pain. By the time I got out of the parking lot my car was filthy. I had to put in my mind the thought that I just lit a $100 bill on fire and went home to clean my car. Outrageous read more

If you bought the TeamBuy $49 for a Complete Interior/Exterior Car Detailing Package, 21 Point Inspection (I don't even know what the hell this is), Shampoo & Valet Pick-Up- $280 Value.. It's not a $280 value, it's literally a $50 value. I'm giving Flawless Autoworx two stars because they actually cleaned my car. They did a shit job, but at least they clean it. The first time I called to make an appointment, I was to drive the car to the shop. They have one small sign that indicates where they are located, plus you're on a one way street so if you miss it (which you will more than once), you have to drive around again. They tell me they will be outside to pick up the car, because I can't park it there because it's Public Parking. No one shows... this went on for about an hour, until I just told them I would reschedule. A month later I finally get my car in. I was told they could pick it up and drive it back. But just like another Yelper, the time they were supposed to pick up the car, came and went. So I called and they informed me that they lost their bookings and forgot to get my car. THEN they tell me they can come get it later on in the day... basically, by the end of the day take it, clean it and bring it back. I took a closer look, they did a piss poor job. My two year old niece could of done a better job. They basically tell you it's over $200 worth, but really it's not. You paid $50 for the TeamBuy, you're going to get $50 worth, no more no less. I'm pretty sure this is a business run by a bunch of younglings trying to make a living by working here to pay off their student loans and could give two shits about good service. read more

The guys there seemed nice enough but the story changed so many times it's hard to believe them. Most of the excuses I got were repeated in other reviews here. Hard to say if they're just disorganized or don't care about the customer or both. - first appt missed because of issues with the scheduling book - late for second appt, had the car all day but not all the work was done, excuse was a problem with my car, they did clean the interior/exterior but didn't do a great job, email quote promised for car repair but none was received - third appt rescheduled last minute - fourth appt, pulled up to the Sheraton parking at specified time but no one answering, got my car in 40 mins late - Teambuy deal was for claybar and wax, but the tennis ball sized dirt spot makes it hard to believe the work was done Bottom line: get a referral from someone you trust for a place they trust. read more

Got a deal on Teambuy and the old saying "if it's too good to be true".....yep a $280.00 value car detail package for $49. I should have known something was up when the guy on the phone said just pull up at 9am to the 4 Points Sheraton and call my cell. What no shop?? So after placing 3 calls and 3 voice mails I left. Later that afternoon they called me back to say yeah "Justin forgot his cell phone can you come over now?" now seriously? WTF?....No..."well in that case we're going to have to reschedule and charge you a fee to reschedule" Dude is it my fault you forgot your cell phone and now you want to charge me to reschedule????? Moral of the story...if a business says to pull up to a hotel and dial a cell phone...it's not a real business. read more

I had a groupon and for the money spent I have say I was happy with the job. I've spent over $200 before for detailing and that time they were able to get stains out of my seats (Ford's are notorious for easily staining seats...so get scotch guard if you buy new ..wish I did)... They didn't get all the stains out but then again I didn't pay anywhere near $200 either. The car was clean when I got it back and shined on the outside. They also gave me a quote on my MVI which was very reasonable so I'm making another appointment with them to get that done. Overall they did a good job. I also purchased the Teambuy for $49. My original appointment was for May 10th at 9am ( I called to get the appt on April 13ish). Early in the morning on May 10th Flawless Autoworx called to say they had no water and would have to reschedule to May 17. On May 17 I again received a call in the morning stating he had a sick kid at home and had to be with him til noon when the wife came home but that he would call me again at noon and come and pick up my car. Noon came and went and I received no call. I called him at 3pm the same day and left a message requesting a call back. I still have not received a call. I also contacted Teambuy and was given a credit. By this time Teambuy knows there are issues with this company .... shame on them for continuing to do any kind of business with a company like that! They do crappy work on your vehicle , then tell you " what do you expect for 50 dollars" Stay away from them for your own sake. I booked the appointment, showed up (a little late). called the shop to get in. no issues. they do have a shop phone and cell for some of these people that seem to have an issue. I found they did a great job with the undercoating, and they do body work, and mechanical work too. its a nice small company of 2 employee's. i personally would much rather deal with a small company than a big one that doesnt care about you or any other customer. i was a little skeptical about these reviews when i went. but now that i did. i dont regret it at all. Dealing with these guys is a nightmare. Eventually you might get yoru car cleaned but it is not worth the effort.

My experience with these guys has been completely different than the other reviewers. They were recommended to me a year ago by a friend who works in the Maritime Centre, and since then they have done oil changes, detailing and brake work on both my cars and I have had nothing but positive experiences. If you work in and bring your car to downtown Halifax, I definitely recommend them. They are young, honest guys, trying to make a go of it in a competitive business, and I hope they're around for a long time to come. read more

Very poor job cleaning my vehicle. NOT worth the money I paid. Can't believe these guys stay in business.

I think businesses need to be careful how they represent themselves and for this business to be called "Flawless" is deceiving. In addition, the website shows pictures of a beautiful showroom and well-dressed professionals so I was expecting something much different than what I got. I will say, they did clean my car nicely for me but it certainly wasn't flawless. I had a very hard time finding them because they don't have a storefront, only a bay with a standing sign out behind the building in Burnside. The front entry was cluttered with boards and boxes and looked like they're dumping grounds. I had to holler to find someone and a non-descript guy came out (no uniform or branded shirt) and confirmed my appointment. I left my car with them for the day and was content with the results for the price I paid Groupon. However, I don't think I would trust taking my car there again. I was nervous all day! read more
