Kristina Makris truly exemplifies what it means to be a master at her craft and profession. Book her immediately for your wedding, engagement photo shoot or event and I promise you that you will be happier than you could ever imagine. Now let me explain why: Kristina came to my rescue for my wedding and I don't know if I ever will be able to properly thank her. I booked my original wedding makeup artist over a year from my wedding. She wouldn't do a trial with me until 3 months from my wedding and after the trial I was incredibly disappointed and worried. I didn't feel confident with this person's capabilities for my wedding and I didn't feel that I was listened to when I voiced my concerns. I have a large, pigmented birthmark on my face that is very difficult to conceal and many makeup artists don't know how to handle it - the original makeup artist certainly didn't know how to conceal it and didn't listen to me after my trial when I said it still was visible to me. I canceled my contract and frantically took a desperate chance and contacted none other than Kristina Makris owner and master makeup artist of Flawless Makeup & Beauty Lounge. I had watched her skills for years when I would go to her studio to get my eyebrows done, however, I never would've thought I could've been lucky enough to have her do my wedding makeup. When I contacted Kristina it was not only THREE months from my wedding and in peak wedding season, but it was over a weekend. Kristina emailed me back the SAME day and said she wanted to help me out and was available. I was stunned! I signed a contract with her and locked my wedding in immediately. Then we booked a trial within a few weeks of signing the contract. My trial was nothing short of perfect. Kristina listened to me and my concerns, she made suggestions and asked questions about the bridal look I wanted, and took a great deal of time with my makeup application. I left feeling the best I ever had about myself and couldn't stop smiling! Before my wedding Kristina was always available to speak to about the wedding day timeline, gave me a spray tan location recommendation, skincare tips and even helped with bridal look suggestions. She was extremely kind, patient and communicative. The day of my wedding Kristina arrived on time, set up all of her makeup and lighting, and set the most calming and peaceful mood for the day. She was in a separate room from my hair stylist and it was so enjoyable to be around Kristina that my normal tense, type-A personality became calm and I was able to be in the moment and enjoy the day. My makeup on my wedding day was nothing short of perfect. I couldn't even believe it was ME when I looked at myself in the mirror. Each of my bridesmaids and my 60-year-old mother looked equally beautiful. They were all extremely happy with their makeup and couldn't stop taking pictures of themselves. She listened to each of them and gave them exactly what they wanted. I was so proud of how stunning my ladies looked. Kristina is a true professional through and through. Her skills are unparalleled. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my bridal makeup on the most important day of my life. She listened to me and never once minimized my feelings or concerns about my birthmark. She handled everything with kindness and compassion and was such an important part of my wedding day. I'll start this review by saying I've never been to this salon but, my daughter and I are former clients of a stylist by the name of Shayla. I believe that she is fairly new to the salon. I feel I need to write this review based off an encounter that we just had with Shayla. I'll start this off by saying that my daughter has health issues that she was born with. Shayla had previously told my daughter that she was vaccinated against covid, but the other day she posted on social media that she was in fact not vaccinated. Due to my daughter's health issues she wanted to reach out to Shayla and ask if she was vaccinated or not. She did this because she has to be extremely careful with her on going health issues. If she caught covid she would end up getting extremely sick with her weakened immune system. Below you will see Shayla's response to my daughter. In my opinion this was EXTREMELY unprofessional of her. Shayla also talks about a lot of her clients behind their back. After a bit of a rocky start to my relationship with Flawless Makeup & Beauty Lounge, I must say that things have improved. After receiving a message from Kristina, the owner and primary makeup artist, apologizing for the previous poor experience and offering a complimentary mini-facial and makeup application, I decided to give it another go. I'm glad that I did; now, after a bit of a delay (holy moly, time flies when you're traveling, sending wedding thank you notes, and then jumping right into the holidays!!) here are the differences I saw from my first experience to my second: This time, Kristina was very apologetic for the previous issues, as I mentioned above. I have to say that she really did go out of her way to track me down and offer me the complimentary services to make up for things. I was impressed by her willingness to work to make things right. As for the makeup application itself -- Kristina has certainly not decreased in skill. She remains a very talented makeup artist. I had no issues with her skill during my first experience, and nothing has changed with that now. As I had mentioned in my previous review, Flawless is now in a new location... and it is lovely! Beautifully bright and airy, the makeup studio is very clean and well-stocked. There is also an esthetician table in the back, where you can get facials done--also a very clean room with a nice, calming atmosphere. The one thing I will mention is to make sure you keep an eye out for the storefront when you get close to the destination, because GPS sends you too far down the street. After it has all been said and done, I will say that Flawless is now A-Ok in my book. Only fair to update my review to reflect this! read more

I've had my make-up done by a lot of make-up artists for various events throughout my life (weddings, proms, theater, color guard), but I have to say that I am most impressed with the services Kristina provides at Flawless Face and Body. A good friend of mine decided to have a themed wedding (Steampunk), and I decided to gift her a make-up artist for the event. I found Kristina through a photo shoot she'd done make-up for, and was so pleased to find out she was an awesome fit! She was very attentive with the bride, and extremely flexible: when two bridesmaids decided on the day of the wedding that they'd also like to get their make-up done, she didn't miss a beat. She was able to fit them in without breaking a sweat or sacrificing quality for time. As weddings can be extremely stressful, it was awesome to have a calm, funny person around, like Kristina. Everyone who sat in her chair had an opportunity to take a breath, which was so valuable. Her willingness to make just about any schedule work was awesome. Where do I even begin! I LOVE Flawless Makeup lounge. I have had my makeup done previously by Kristina and when I found out she opened a shop I had to go check it out. I am not one to wear makeup but like any girl when I have a special event I of course want to be a little dolled up and look my best! Kristina will consult with you before she even starts getting an idea your skin type (offering remedies if needed) and narrow down a look you want! Very disappointed! Inquired about having my wedding makeup done with Kristina, was told my date was available so I went ahead and booked a trial. Had the trial, was very happy with the outcome, and was told by Kristina that she would send me the contract. Never heard from her. Gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she forgot so I inquired again, still haven't heard from her. It's been almost two months since my trial date. As an esthetician in Industry I was very impressed with Kristinas expansion in Wakefield, where she added skincare. There's a chick yet very relaxing room in back of her new lounge with dim lighting, completely closed off to her makeup stations and so beautifully decorated. She now offers Facials, Waxing and has all the machines to do more advanced facial treatments! Very impressive and I loved the vibe of the whole location. If your looking for skincare as a bride or anyone who likes to just take care of their skin this is the place to call! She got me feeling so good after my appt with her today that I even took a few selfies!!....and I am not big on selfies (think click,click ugh delete,delete!!) Not very flexible. Booked my wedding party there fully expecting more than 1 make up professional but it was just her for the 8 of us. I was not told that before signing the contract. When I called 30 days before the wedding she gave some girls 9&10:00 appts in the morning for a night wedding. !!!!!She would not budge on the time. In the past I have had several makeup applications done in by other different artists and in my opinion, Kristina ranks as one of the best!
