The technician, who had visited my property previously, displayed a lack of professionalism during the visit. Instead of providing constructive feedback, he focused on criticizing my handling of the salt cell, assuming I had memorized the manual's instructions. So my home warranty company sent this company to my house. Came out 2-3 times and all that Joe did was clean out my pool filter. So both Joe and Jimmy tried to swindle me, by saying I need to fix other problems with my equipment that aren't covered by warranty. Luckily, my home warranty sent out another company by the name of "Backyard pools". Parts that they replaced, new Salt Cell, new backwash valve and a new lid for my pool pump. But Joe said that he found no issues and tried to blame the Salt cell panel for electrical issues, tried to blame My booster pump too, but the new company figured it out that the panel was working just fine and that the salt cell needed to be replaced. This company tried badly to messed me over, but I'm thankful for backyard pools. The dispatcher was also rude and not helpful. Joe came out with American Home Shield and spent about 10 mins diagnosing our 3 items reported with regards to the pool. Very unprofessional and rude. You can tell he's settled to just make the min payment for the service call. Betting I won't be seeing or hearing from him again. SMH at people and companies like this. I can offer a 2 star. I thought when I first used them they were a good honest company. But now after my most recent experience I have a feeling I was overcharged for my first replacement job. I have a home warranty policy and they contract with this company. They just came out to perform a 30 min replacement job. Their estimate for the warranty company was $285.00 their estimate for me was an additional $235.00 to perform the job. I had 2 other companies give me their opinions and both told me that because the warranty company pays them so little the contractor will tell the warranty company they have to perform modifications so that the can charge the customer additional money to make the job worthwhile. I asked for an itemized bill showing the breakdown of each charge to my warranty company and to me . They refuse to provide it in writing. I will never pay for any work or repairs without a written estimate with a breakdown of parts and labor. This company just verbally claimed it was a flat rate. So I have located a different pool repair company that will not charge me this absolutely padded rate. I recommend you get other estimates in writing from different companies before you settle with this company. To be honest they should have just made an estimate with parts and labor to the home warranty company and never said anything about modifications and the warranty company would have paid them. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. The man who came out, Joe, was the most unprofessional individual that we have dealt with in a very long time. He was extremely rude, obviously put out by having to be there, and spent the entire time on a personal phone call, instead of focusing on the job at hand. He was very short with my husband, behaving unprofessionally and rude. He spent less than 10 minutes "diagnosing the problem", and his assessment showed lack of expertise and effort. After seeing previous reviews on Yelp, this is apparently a common theme with this company. We got a second opinion from another company who came out, and they easily fixed one of our problems on the spot, and gave a very detailed and knowledgeable explanation of what we needed for the other problem. Joe did neither of these things. Home Shield needs to remove Flawless Pool Service from the list of companies that they use. They can't be considered a reliable company if they are involved with places likes this who are incompetent and unwilling to get the job done in a professional and reliable manner. read more

Company came out to give a diagnostics for my pool pump. They stated the pool pump was missing a part, the bonding wire. My insurance claim was denied due to "missing part ". Contacted Joe the owner and said the part was not missing that the bonding wire is there and sent him pictures. He said it's not connected now is it? When I responded no, he stated "if it's not connected, the part is missing". I told him that the insurance company said the part was missing per his report. I asked the insurance company if there is a difference between the part missing versus not being connected. Insurance company said claim would be approved if the part was not connected. Missing parts are not covered. Contacted Joe and explained that to him and he stated again if it's not connected, it's missing. So basically if the battery in your car is not connected, it's missing? If the light is not plugged in, the plug is missing? Shady business beware. read more

This is the worst company ever to call for a service. If u need real help don't call them or even think they gonna fix anything. Joe got dispatched from my home warranty company, he has a huge attitude. He walked in no even hello, he walked to the backyard and looked at the pool equipments and was like it's ur guys problem not taking care of the pool. - We have a pool guy comes every week for cleaning and maintenance- He didn't want to replace the parts and with huge rudeness and careless walked away with nothing fixed. Completely ignorant people that work here. Tried to explain to the guy how I wanted my pool cleaned, he just walked away in the middle of my explanation and went back to his van. Didn't know how to do anything because he wasn't paying attention to what I was trying to tell him. The tools they use are super outdated. Sometimes it's better not to say anything but in Joe's case if you read his response, to my review you eill understand why I questioned his business ethics in the first place. Finally got my pool pump motor installed after he ordered the wrong motor. The pool owners know what happens when let a pool sit for 3 weeks and 82°. that is how long I had to wait for a working motor and fuel pump because of Joe's lack of concern. I knew from the start that Joe would not get right on the job and get it done in a timely manner because he was working with first American home warranty, which I also do not recommend. Neither Joe at flawless pool service nor first American home warranty would supply me with an invoice or a copy of work performed. How many of you would have any work done without a written estimate and a final invoice at completion of the job this is a ploy by unscrupulous contractors and insurers to avoid you knowing the actual extent of what they did or didn't do. When first American home warranty refused to give me another contractor after explaining the terrible reviews that flawless pool service had. I immediately borrowed a pool pump from a friend of mine and was able to hook it up in the interim so Joe when you read this your game did not work My pool did not get green. Oh by the way Joe I didn't see a copy of your workman's comp insurance when I looked up you in the California contractor's license board maybe you might want to review that. read more

We just purchased our home, and the previous owner neglected the pool so bad that it was infested by mosquitos. None of our equipment was operable, our pool was a dark green with thick algae on the bottom, no pumps, no heater. We called Joe from Flawless Pool and he came over immediately, did a great job, our pool is pleasently warm and a beautiful blue color. Highly recommend their service and prices. read more

This company was assigned to me by my home warranty company. The valves had stopped working and I was told that the work was not covered by the warranty (Not Flawless Pool Service's fault). Ok, I still need to get my valves replaced. I asked him what needed to be done to fix the valves. He stated that they would need to cut the concrete around the valves to access them in order to replace the valves. Total cost according to Flawless I am looking around $3500 at least. I'm so glad that I didn't listen to this guy. My pool guy was able to do it for less than $250. and concrete did not have to be cut. This guy was just lazy and apparently didn't know what he was talking about. Would not recommend this company. read more

Interacted with the owner Joe and employee Johnny/Jimmy for a problem with our pool filter thru our Warranty company American home shield. They didn't fix the filter issue correctly the first time and then tried to blame us for it when we had to call them out a 3 weeks later when the filter busted from the shoddy job they did. They took a week and half to come out both times. The owner Joe & Jimmy were both extremely unprofessional and rude. They have horrible customer service and do poor work. I would not recommend them. We had been having issues with our Spa not heating for over a year. Our warranty kept sending out another company that could not fix the issue and was constantly blowing us off. They even showed us pictures of a different circuit board that burned up and said it was ours. The told the warranty company the WE had broken the circuit board. They even said we needed a new system altogether because the circuit board could not be replaced. We finally were able to get another company, Flawless Pool Service, to come out for a different opinion. Joe was fast and so helpful. He even showed me the circuit board to show that nothing had ever sparked or caught fire. He also showed me evidence that someone else (not us or Joe) broke a part off TRYING to fix it the first time. In the end Joe was the one who was able to get a new circuit board and fix our heater once and for all. He was nice, prompt and took the time to help us. Thank you Joe!!!! read more
