    That amazing spray tan!

    I called on a Thursday morning to schedule an appointment and she was able to fit me in on Friday afternoon! Super friendly!!! I was extremely nervous about how the spray tan would turn out because it was just a day before my wedding, but I put my trust in her and everything was absolutely amazing! That tan look looked extremely natural and perfect! After I left the salon I wore loose fitting clothes and no bra to allow the color to set. The spray tan smelt a little funny, a few people mentioned I smelled like fast food, I couldn't figure it out but it did smell odd. After that everything was great! I can't wait to do it again!

    I have never had a spay tan before. I'm 29 and have a mom bod, and I'm extremely pale. I was so hesitant on getting a spray tan only because I'm very self conscious. I'm so glad I did it! Keli made my experience so comfortable!! And I couldn't have asked for better results. The spray tan gave me so much confidence for my sister in laws bachelorette party!!!

    Keli is a gem!!! I texted her late Monday night, she promptly responded and scheduled me right away. This was the first time I've ever had a spray tan done, she walked me through the entire process from maintenance to dos and don'ts. During the spray session she made me feel totally comfortable, and took her time to ensure quality work. Will definitely return for future sessions. Loved my color!

    Highly recommend NOT letting Jessica touch your hair , she's unprofessional and rude . It seems like she's new at doing hair ... would avoid this place and that hairstylist!!

    I follow wherever my hairstylist Jessica Marino goes. She does an amazing job every single time she does my hair and I've been with her for 4 years now. Shes gentle, easy to talk to, and just an extremely bubbly person to be around. I feel like my appointments are more than just an appointment, I'm sitting with a friend and having good conversation! Now, the hair bar? Its beautiful! Its like a modern chic and just downright adorable. Fitting for all the girls that work there. Its cozy and if you wander around the rest of the place, its got a Paris theme all around which I just adore. It's definitely not like the rest of the salons you see around! All the girls there make everyone feel at home with warm smiles and all. I had to stay til' after they closed due to waiting for a ride. And they let me stay in because it was so hot outside. So as they had a meeting they let me sit and eat in a different room. Customer service is big to me and its just a group of really sweet women! I love it. Of course I'll be back.

    Hair looks like the roots have recently grown out. You can tell that my hair goes from a lighter color to a brassy color.

    I got hair colored Mid October by Kathleen. Left the shop feeling uneasy about the color because it was darker than what I expected, but was told "it was because of the toner" so I decided to wait it out. When the color faded, I was left with a mess! Roots not blended/melted and brassiness and blotchy color. When I contacted her, she insisted on having me come in to get it toned. I left with my hair "toned" so what difference would that make? All I wanted was a thorough explanation but I was just getting pushed to go in to get it tone. After days of being ignored, I told her I was no loner interested in getting it tone and would like a refund to a certain extent. She refuses to give me a refund. I spent almost $200!!!! I'm not sure about everyone else that does business there but I don't recommend going to this shop if you have hopes of getting any type of refund. Apparently they will mess up your hair or whatever it may be and refuse to give you any money back! What a complete ripoff! Tried contacting the shop owner, but no response. I guess it's okay to rip people off and take their money.

My disappointment comes from the overall handling of the situation as a longtime returning customer. I completely understand that scheduling conflicts happen and that businesses have policies and time limitations. However, what was most frustrating was the lack of accountability or meaningful effort to make the situation right after the confusion occurred. As someone who has supported your business for years for special occasions like birthdays, Valentine's Day, and Mother's Day, I expected a little more customer care and consideration rather than an explanation of why the situation happened. I think what disappointed me most was that the response focused heavily on justifying the circumstances instead of acknowledging the customer experience itself. A little empathy and flexibility can go a long way in retaining loyal clients. I genuinely loved coming to Perfect Balance over the years, which is why this experience was so disappointing in the first place. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been a loyal customer of Perfect Balance Day Spa in Lodi for years and have regularly visited with my mother for occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, birthdays, and other special celebrations. Because of the positive experiences I've had in the past, I recently called a week before Mother's Day to schedule two "Slices of Heaven" services so my mother and I could treat each other for the holiday. Unfortunately, this particular experience was very disappointing. After confirming my appointment for a specific day and time, I received a call asking if I could move the appointment to 3:30 PM. I was understanding and accommodated the change without issue. Shortly after, I received another call informing me that if they were to keep the appointment, the "Oasis" portion of the service would only be provided for approximately 30 minutes instead of the full advertised hour. I politely asked whether there could be a price adjustment since the full service would not be rendered, but I was told, "Yeah, no." The receptionist, Kayla, made it seem as though she had already checked with a higher-up regarding the matter. She was polite throughout the interaction and even acknowledged that she understood my frustration and agreed that the situation did not seem right. Because of that, this review is not necessarily a reflection of Kayla personally, but rather of the management decision and lack of accommodation from whoever she had to answer to, whether that was a supervisor or the owner. I also asked whether another day could be arranged instead, but the communication felt hesitant and delayed, which ultimately led me to cancel the appointment altogether and make arrangements with Appellation aka Wine and Roses. It's unfortunate because I have genuinely supported and enjoyed this business for years. The 3 stars are for the quality of massages and prior customer service experiences I've received in the past. However, I deducted 2 stars due to the repeated scheduling changes, uncertainty, lack of accommodation, and unwillingness to provide a fair adjustment for a shortened service that could not be fully delivered as advertised. Very disappointing.
