Both times were a blast! Not only are the people working there super kind and polite, easy and comfortable to socialize with, but their market has tons of beautiful and unique pieces! I have always been an antique store and garage sale junkie, so I'm all about places like these! ^__^ So for those like me, I strongly suggest to check out Country Club for sure! Like I did the first visit, today I picked out another small bundle of lovely woven baskets and locally found projectile-type artifacts. I did Not expect to find relics there, but I'm super glad I checked! And I'm proud to add some new additions to my relic collection. And baskets are a must have for funny, woodsy, nerdy peeps such as myself! hehe I use baskets for so many things. Mini desk baskets, closet baskets, baskets for my gardening, and more. This place will be a go-to every time I come down here to Arkansas when visiting my family. Who knows! I might grab another new specimen or two from that same vender.

There was one booth out of several hundred that had decent items at a reasonable price. Most of it was just junk that you wouldn't even take for free. There was dust on the items that looked as though nobody has worked on their booths for years. In one booth, shampoo was sold. Rust formed at the bottom of the cans, and you couldn't pull the can from the shelf (without pulling down the whole shelf) because it was so stuck. It is not climate-controlled. This place has NO A/C during Arkansas' 110 degree summers. They have a few industrial fans at the ends of the super, super long aisles. Today, it was moderately cool for an Arkansas summer day--- about 94 degrees. It was actually hotter in this flea market than it was outside.

They are the nicest people and pet-friendly! They love my puppy here, I take her with me every time I go and she's always so excited to be at the flea market! She gets hugs and rubs from the owners & the customers and the owners give her treats. It's a place you can honestly get anything reasonable you want! Antiques, tools, coins, Knick…read moreknacks, etc. When I went some time ago you could even get fresh made burgers, shakes etc. one of the few remnants of a bygone age when flea markets were like this and not the higher end shops with curated antiques, junk shops, or boutiques masquerading as a flea market-- when Arkansas didn't have notions. It's the last vestige of a place where people sell their wares to make ends meet in a somewhat hodgepodge communal setting. Despite the heartless review from the fellow from Minnesota, it isn't creepy at all-- just poor older folks just trying to eke out and living.

I don't even know if I should write anything further, but here is the gist of it: It's a ramshackle hodgepodge of shanty buildings, open air stalls, and enclosed warehouses, all of which host an enormous compendium of junk, antiques, hunting/camping/fishing supplies, a real hardware store, a canned and dry goods/foods market, a wedding chapel (at least that's what the sign said), and some strange food vendors. That is a brief breakdown of it all. I'm leaving a lot out. We strolled through this place for about an hour. It would take days to actually see all of the stalls and what they held inside. This is a very creepy place, so just consider that before you stop by. Many of the vendors are tucked away inside their stalls and they actually blend in with all their junk. It's very scary and disconcerting when you step inside a stall, start looking at the stuff, and then a dusty, drab, old human being speaks to you out of the corner. YIKES. After an hour, I just stated that "I need to leave". I don't think I'll return, just because of how weird this experience was. But, if you're in the area and are bored this might be something entertaining to do for a few hours.
