I have dealt with the owner twice in a little over two years. Each time she promised a callback because she needed to order the shoes I chose. Each time I had to repeatedly call the store for updates, even after promises of a response in an hour. I waited two days and called to find out the status. I was told by the staff that they are extremely understaffed, that the owner should be in that afternoon. I again waited two days and was told the shoes wd arrive in two more days. Ok. I stopped by on the appropriate day and was told they wd be in the next day. I said ok. Then as I drove home the owner called me and said she got a vibe from me...a vibe. She then ranted at me about my attitude! She stalked me. I was shocked. My husband heard some of it and said she is nuts. Beware. read more

good store. expensive store. but i was buying running shoes for the kid and i spare no expense when it comes to my manchild. okay...that's a lie. this boy just keeps growing and growing and GROWING and just won't stop it. (damn him!) and so, for many years now i have spared a LOT of expenses by cutting corners when i can, when shopping for clothes for him b/c he almost always outgrows his garments before he can out-wear them. but there are a few areas where i do not scrimp and footwear (especially for sports) is one of them. after all the years and all the damn sport-specific shoes i've had to buy this kid (3 different kinds of cleats for football - american AND soccer - and baseball, basketball shoes, swimmer flops, karate slippers, weird fencing boots, boxing boots and even tap dance shoes - oh damn, don't tell i told about the tap dance shoes), i somehow never had to buy a pair of just running shoes. imagine my surprise when the kid decides to stick with boxing (of all the freaking sports! do you WANT to give me a heart attack?!), that i have to buy running shoes. apparently, it's not just learning how to stick & jab & duck, but there's this thing called endurance to it too, and you have to do a lot of running to get that. so, we went to fleet feet. these sales people are almost as brave as boxers, and certainly have the endurance thing going for them. they took off the manchild's shoes AND socks, and examined his feet, w/o plugging their noses or holding their breath. they measured his feet and cut some insoles to fit him, then had him try them on with the shoes he wore into the store. based on watching him walk and run with and w/o the insoles, with and w/o shoes, and his answers to a few questions, they brought out a few pairs of sneaks for him to try. they had him try on shoes with different kinds of socks and insoles. he ran. he walked. he jogged in place. they asked more questions. and brought more shoes. it was a serious process. finally, we settled on a pair of nike running shoes, a few insoles for the boy to wear in his regular shoes every day [to give him some more support and help w/ his slight pronation - i don't feel like explaining that term, google it], some specialty socks to battle the sweat and funk of an active teen boy w/ big feet, and these nifty little things called 'sneaker balls'. the sneaker balls are magic. they absorb moisture [and funk!] when placed in shoes, and leave them smelling like fabric softener sheets. a must have for stinky man shoes. the boy drops them into his running and/or boxing shoes after work outs and *poof* the smell and moisture disappear! go sneaker balls! i wound up spending over $200 at this place, but i think it was money well spent. quality experience and quality shoes for my quality kid. very worth it. read more

The lack of selection almost makes up for the poor service!!! The owner is an abrasive know-it-all who works way too hard to get you into the most expensive shoes possible. Don't forget you NEED those extra $40 insoles, and you're NEVER going to be able to train properly without that gps watch. ugh. Just a horrible, horrible experience. read more

The staff just doesn't grab shoes and you try them on. They actually are interested in your running habits and how they are changing, staying the same etc. I had been wearing the same shoe for some time now but as I changed my habits they suggested a different shoe and I already notice the difference. The owner's are great! They have runs from their store a few times a week so you can socialize and get a good run in. I like their products because Scott tests almost all of them. Scott makes sure his staff knows what they are doing when fitting shoes on people and they make excellent recommendations. Definitely get your running gear here. read more

My husband and I stopped into the store seeking to purchase both of us some running shoes. We looked around and we weren't even greeted by a staff member which there were approximately 4 people on. They all seemed to have decided to hoover over one person trying on shoes and commence to talk with her. After approximately 20 minutes we left. I hadn't purchased new exercise sneakers in quite some time and wanted to upgrade my Hoka Bondi sneakers. You can only find Hoka's at specialty running stores and online. I didn't want to buy online because I actually wanted to TRY ON the new version of the Hoka's (Bondi 5). I saw online that Fleet Feet Sports Annapolis had them in my size, so I went into the store. There were two young people working in the store (young lady and young man; looked college-age). They both greeted me in a very friendly manner, and the young lady came over to help me right away. She asked what I was looking for, went and found it in my size, helped me put them on, asked me to walk around and see how they felt, and was generally very helpful. I already knew exactly what I wanted, so things were super easy. But it seemed like if I had needed additional help in figuring out what I wanted, they were knowledgeable and would have been very helpful in figuring out which shoe would be best for my needs.
