I've come here to get my feet measured, they'll track your gait as you walk and help you find a couple shoe options that should work best for your anatomy and goals, and each of us has different ones so it's not always easy to find the best option. They're always so nice when visiting, and beyond athletic shoes they have a lot of other athletic wear from name brands like Nike, LuluLemon, Vuori, OnCloud and more. They even have snacks to help fuel your workouts like protein bars, energy chews and other things. It's a one stop shop for your running & walking needs. Of course, many of the items here are pretty pricey since it's a lot of big name brands. But they do have occasional sales and the evaluation for fining the right shoe & brand is worth the trip in itself. They are also pretty involved in the local community, hosting events here and there, run clubs and combo events with other fitness businesses in the area which is pretty cool. read more

Took my family in to get everyone shoes. We wanted to start running as a family. Spent an hour in the store no one bothered to speak to us. Associates help customers who came in after us. But no one bothered to help up. We were planning to buy five pairs of running shoe. In the end we left with nothing. Horrible customer service, I will not be sad to see this store close. read more

I have shopped with Fit Niche before but it has been a while since I just started running again. We went to this location to pick up our Lakeland Runners Club shirts and were quickly greeted by Hope who wanted to make sure she could help us find what we needed. She got us our shirts while we browsed and I asked her if they had a product in another size. They didn't, but she offered to call another location and even have it shipped to that store. We were going to be in the area of another location shortly, so we didnt need her to go through all of that...but it's nice that this is offered. We also signed uo for their club while we were there, which she explained to us as well. She was very informative and we will be back soon to do a shoe fitting. We got there near closing time so I figured we could come back another day. read more

When you buy running shoes you have to buy from FITniche. I've never experienced more helpful people. They did not have to exchange these for me. I did not meet all the requirements to return. However, they told me this is what the store is designed for, to find the right fit for their customers. They donate returned shoes. I was beyond impressed. read more

Very impressed with this shop! He asked me to stand on this thing that pointed out the pressure of my feet. He then had me walk on the treadmill while he taped it. He was able to see exactly how I walked and which shoes would be best. I tried on 6 different pairs and found one pair that were perfect. I would highly recommend. read more

Been to this place several times and they always fit me for the perfect running shoe. i have over 46 miles on this pair and still going strong. my foot is mid to slightly over pronated so i have to use a certain running shoe so I dont hurt my knees and hips when running long distances. these people know what they are doing and always send me home with the right one. thanks for your excellent service and knowing your job, which is a rare thing these days! keep up the great job!!! read more

Horrible Experience!! I have a bunch of friends who go here, and they came highly recommended. Went through the measuring, biometrics, and treadmill. Then the girl said we recommend any shoe from here to here( like 20 shoes) However, we only have your size in stock for these 2 shoes. Well, I said I didn't like either of those styles/colors so where do we go from there? Do we order others or what? She said "no, this is what we have", so I said, I have to get one of these two or nothing? She said "yes, this is all we have"! Seriously? So I left! Now that being said, I can go to fit niche.com , put in the exact stability, size, width that they recommended and miraculously there are more options, colors and ones I do like and would have purchased!! I guess there only concerned with selling what's in stock! Which would fine from Payless, but not a specialty store like this! I called all my friends who recommended them to me and they were shocked and appalled. Maybe I just went on a bad day or got a new girl, but I won't be recommending this place. read more

I want to start off by saying the people at the Lakeland Fitniche were very friendly and very helpful in selecting my shoes I was very impressed with the whole experience! However the shoes were the worst shoes I have ever had on my feet I normally run/walk on the treadmill or elliptical for 1 HR usually going 4 to 5 miles but the shoes hurt me so bad I could not do more than 30 min. So I tried them for 30 days with no change. So I took them back they were very helpful in selecting me another pair of shoes, I have had these for about 15 days and they are no better big blisters on the inside of both of my heels! I could not be more disappointed I paid 120.00 for these shoes I'm going back to my 49.95 Sketchers! read more

New running shoes needed so went in for a fit test. They did the pressure test and then recorded me running on the treadmill. Played the video and showed my my foot strike, ankle positions and stride. Recommended 3 shoes in different brands, tried them all on and picked what felt most comfortable. I have about 300 miles on them now and still going strong. Great store and great service. I have been back a few times (socks and stuff) and staff is always friendly, ask about runs I have done or will be doing, and recommend local events. You can tell they are fellow runners and enthusiastic about the sport. Check this place out! read more

So as a new runner who currently has shin splints due to an extreme increase in running and probably pretty bad shoes, I was concerned with shopping for new running shoes. I wanted a place that would know what they were talking about and wouldn't just give me some random shoe based off of speculation and I found that at FITniche. They didn't just take my word for what was happening, they actually had me run on a treadmill with "neutral" running shoes to assess what kind of runner I was and what issues I had, if any. I, being fairly new to running, only knew that I had wider feet and had a bad case of shin splints. They took that into consideration as well as other factors; how I ran and how my arches were. They were not pushy about trying to sell me the most expensive shoe, nor sell me the cheapest. It was all up to me to decide, with a little guidance from them. Although everything there is kind of pricey, so the "cheaper" shoes were not really cheaper than the expensive shoes (and these shoe options presented to me were based off my own running issues, like rolling of the ankle and lower arch; your shoe options may vary from mine, so pricing, although probably unlikely, may vary greater than what mine did, which was only about a $10-20 difference.) If you know what you want, I don't think you will have an issue finding good running shoes, but if you are a new runner or are looking for a good pair of running shoes and don't know where to look, FITniche is a great place. I haven't really gotten a chance to test them out. I currently want to rest my legs before running, to give them a fair chance. But overall, I am very pleased with the customer service there and will definitely go there again for any advice or more shoe purchases. read more
