She paid an ungodly amount of money for them to install hardwood flooring in her living room while she was on a trip for her birthday. Upon her arrival, she found that not only is the flooring itself not laid right (several pieces all ending perfectly aligned in a straight line), but they used the wrong materials around the trim so it looks like crap. They broke one of her Windows, ruined a fresh paint job on the living room walls, butted pieces of 1/4 round (some of which were just a foot long and NOT flush with the others) all around the room, ruining intricate woodwork on her stairway and awkwardly framing the door. Scraped up her French doors and ruined the paint. ON TOP OF THAT, the workers evidently sand blasted without hanging a tarp in the doorways so the ENTIRE HOUSE is covered in dust. Will take DAYS to clean up. I'm furious and she is having a mental breakdown. I will post pics because this is unbelievable. Happy birthday, grandma!

My installer was a 10+ and great to work with. He installed Living Room, Dining Room and bathrooms. Only one suggestion, when a customer comes in the store with a sales person request that when they return to the company they have the sale and follow up. For the exact same type of flooring, we noticed their prices were four times more expensive than the other two places we checked. That said, we didn't want to insult them and make them feel bad so I left a fake name, a fake phone number, and a fake address. Imagine my surprise when I got a call from this company to my real phone number--A number I never provided to them nor gave them permission to call. What's even more outrageous, is they contacted our real estate agent--an egregious overreach of boundaries. We never mentioned who we were working with for our real estate transaction. Who do these people think they are? It is the most outrageous invasion of privacy my husband and I have ever experienced and we're not young people. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. I explained what happened to my real estate agent and apologized on behalf of this company for being so obnoxious. I've never known a flooring company to go to such lengths to stalk potential customers before. It was very very disturbing. I'm not sure what software they have rigged up in that store, but if you go here, turn your phone to airplane mode so they can't access it because if they do they will track down everybody you know to try to get a hold of you. Ray Drennan from Floors Unlimited laid floors in my new home. Two weeks afterward, they cupped…read more He admitted that he did not do any moisture testing and that he did not check under the house. His wife, Karen Drennan, said that she has contacted all of the installers in the area and they do not do moisture testing either. When I contacted all of them (for a replacement estimate), they said it was standard practice. We've tried to settle things with them out of court. We had a NWFA flooring inspector come to look at our floors. He said that the floors did not acclimate correctly. They put the flooring in our house 3 days prior to the air being turned on. The floor was laid 3 days after the air was on. Since the floor was laid 3 days after the air, Ray mistakenly thought it was acclimated. The 3 days WITHOUT air conditioning (in June!) damaged the flooring. The inspector also confirmed that moisture testing is a standard practice. Now that we have a lawyer, the Drennans have lied to their lawyer and said that they did moisture testing! They only have liability insurance that covers things out of their control, but does not cover installation (scary, huh?). They don't have the money, so they are now lying. Ray is a poor installer (though he will tell you he is the best) and his wife will lie to keep from having to assume any financial responsibility. Ray does not follow NWFA flooring guidelines and does not follow common flooring installation practices. I wish I had known this before we decided to use them. I guess it says a lot to know that the installer does not (and can not) stand behind his work.
