They have bins for storage you can rent. They will help you take off your boots at the end of a ski day if needed ! They have a small bar inside which was wonderful for my kids to get a cup of water at the end of a hard skiing day. And a glass of wine for mama ! Just top notch in every single way. Awesome shop at the base of the mountain. Come here for your equipment needs. I came into down looking to try out some new boards since I was in the market for an upgrade. I spoke with some of the guys here who were all super knowledgeable, and was able to recommend me a few choices based on what I was looking for. I ended up demoing a board and loved it. The process was easy and I walked away with a new board at the end of the day. They even tuned and waxed up my board before I took it home. I ended up needing some more help with my bindings and Mitch (big shoutout) has me come in and personally helped me rebind it without any hesitation. You gotta love shops like this - knowledgeable, friendly, and A+ customer service. I felt super comfortable in this shop, and they even had dogs inside! Thanks to Mitch and all of the other friendly staff (who's names I don't remember unfortunately) who helped me during my stay at Steamboat. Equipment and location are perfect for skiing steamboat; however, I have had nightmare trying to get my bill corrected for overcharges made to my account. When I reserved the equipment at the store, they would not provide me with copy of reservations and potential charges. When we checked our equipment in and I paid my bill, they would not provide me with bill to preview and to confirm correct charges being made. I was given an itemized receipt after credit card charged. Fleischer overcharged me for equipment, and I and a family member notified them that day of the errors. Fleischer said they corrected, issued refund and would email us our new statement with credit. It was never received. I called 2 days later and spoke with manager who reviewed my charges and agreed to make corrections and email me correct bill. Email contained errors and I asked again for corrections and emails. I am still awaiting a response. I am very disappointed in the management of Fleischer and feel their overcharges and lack of responses are inexcusable. read more

When finished for the day they will store skis and place boots on a heater so they are nice and warm and dry the next morning. Loved the friendly shop dogs too! read more

We rent from Fleischer's each time we ski Steamboat. Conveniently located and the employees are super friendly and helpful. I arrived one day with the wrong lens for my goggles and an employee let me borrow his personal goggles for the day! I'm always asking for helpful tips/suggestions as it relates to skiing/the area and I am met with thoughtful answers. We've found our favorite local restaurants via our friends at Fleischer's! Definitely kid friendly (we have three teen daughters). The equipment we rent is properly fitted and in great condition. Love that we can store our belongings with them while we ski as well as being able to leave our ski equipment overnight. No schlepping it back/forth each day. This year they have added a small bar area in the store and it's nice to sit and have a drink (alcoholic or otherwise) after a day of skiing before walking back to lodging. read more

We used the online tool for a 25% discount on a demo package, but when we arrived Friday morning early there was not a lot of selection left in the demo category. And this was a relatively slow Superbowl weekend. We ended getting outfitted with leftover, less-than-ideal skiis which really impacted the day's enjoyment. We were encouraged to come in the next day to see if some more appropriate skiis had been returned, but still a picked-over selection. The location is great but the retail associates as well as Mr. Fleischer didnt have the time to even talk with anyone in my family, that is once I said I wasn't interested in purchasing a $2,000.00 Ski jacket for my wife or a $500.00 pair of goggles. I booked online rentals because of the discount. The service was great. We met with friendly and helpful staff everyday, however none of them seem to be able to solve our ill-fitted boot problem, which was causing us significant pain. As relative beginners, we depended solely on their recommendations, and honestly, they were not helpful. So I endured three days of quite severe shin pain, and my husband quit skiing all together and went for snowboarding. This simple switch added another $35 to our total bill. We both had skied before and none of us recall this much problem with boots. The store is also located the furthest from the lifts / gondola, so our ill-fitted boots made the problem even worse. My impression is that their inventory and options are relatively limited which made fitting us more difficult for them. We will not rent from them again. read more

Last year I went on a guys trip to Steamboat Springs and rented my gear from Fleischer's. The guys in the shop were phenominal! On the second day of our trip one guy from the shop, Kelly, joined my buddy and I for a full day on the mountain. It was unbelievable! He showed us all the stashes and introduced us to several of the locals, one of which was an ex professional mogul skier. What an experience to rip through knee high powder with some of the coolest cats in Colorado. I would highly recommend any level of skier to utilize the services of Fleischers. I've dealt with the folks at Fleischer Sports several times. I've been skiing for over 50 years, and as a result have visited dozens (if not hundreds) of ski shops. I've never found one that I could recommend as highly as Fleischer Sports. They have the best equipment and soft goods that one can buy. But what really sets them apart are the awesome people who work there. They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and are incredibly friendly to boot. They go out of their way to ensure that your experience is as good as possible. I live in Seattle, but buy my gear here (last week I bought two pairs of skis, bindings, a high-end helmet and some miscellaneous clothing). I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH. Initially very helpful but when we went to return a pair of gloves with less than 1 hour wear and absolutely nothing wrong with them I was told that I could not return them since they'd been used. The receipt return policy says, "returns/exchanges for store credit only. Store credit must be within 30 days". It doesn't say anything about used/unused. In fact, when my husband asked (before purchase)"what happens if we don't like the gloves?" We were told "you can return them, but no one ever has!". So was that a lie, or were we mistreated upon return? Regardless, very poor customer service for a high end shop. We love Steamboat but we'll make our purchases elsewhere from now on! read more
