Please please please do not hire this scam of a company. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever hired! Me and my husband hired Flemings Photography back in 2019 for our 2020 wedding but due to Covid we had to push our date back. After the first reschedule Ricky dropped communication and we finally were able to get in touch with him to schedule a wedding photo shoot in May 2021. We paid additional money for travel and room & board for 3 days since it was destination location. and we're told Kristen would be our photographer and would be in contact with us in the coming weeks. The morning of the wedding shoot we had still not heard from Kristen or anyone else from Flemings Photography, I reached out to Ricky as an alarmed client. He told me that was "odd" and that I should be hearing from a last minute local photographer, that he "didn't want me to feel like I wasn't being taken care of". No Ricky, I wasn't taken care of. Despite me reaching out multiple times Ricky has completely ghosted me and my husband and we have not heard back since. I did not receive any kind of apology, nor did I receive any portion of refund, despite being charged for a photographer from his company for 3 days of travel and accommodations. Me and my husband feel very discriminated against. Ricky will be seeing me in small claims court and will not get away with treating a client like this. I implore anyone looking to hire a photographer, especially for an event like your wedding, to look elsewhere and hire someone that delivers on their contract and values you as a client. read more

We were not pleased with Flemings Photography and would not recommend using their services. Although the photographs were fine/normal and the photographer himself, Sean, was kind, we did not receive several aspects of the package that we paid for. Firstly, we were told we were going to get a photography assistant as well as a photographer. We assumed that this was going to be Ricky, as he had said he was going to be at our wedding. The day of while we were stressed and getting ready for our wedding, Ricky texted us telling us that he would not be able to make it due to an delayed flight: "I wanted to touch base with you. My flight was delayed last night and it's being pushed back again. There is a sever cold front that hit Dallas. I've contacted my brother (my lead photographer) and he is scheduled to be at the museum at 2:45pm - is been updated as to everything we have discussed. I'm still trying to make it - but just updating you. Everything is still on schedule and you day will be documented perfectly" (12/22/2022 11:43 AM) Sean, the photographer, showed up by himself and was the only person from Flemings Photography there the entire time, even though we presumably paid for photographer + assistant. We felt we could have used an assistant, especially during the chaos of taking and organizing family pictures before the ceremony. When I texted Ricky after the wedding, asking for money back due to the absence of an assistant, he responded as such: "...Yes the package does come with an assistant. This is typically if we need someone. This is an assistant *Not a second shooter* would completely understand if there was a "second shooter" included the package - second shooters are either included in the packages are they are paid for as an additional cost to clients. I'm this case it was an "assistant" it's usually on a by case base. An assistants job is only to carry the photographer's equipment. Keep up with equipment, set up or break down photographers lights/gears if need be. They usually become more helpful with bigger weddings , When the guest count dropped to about 100 . We would of just had the assistant standing around ,?thus why we didn't have one." (12/28/2022 9:35 PM) Because the contract was not explicit about the assistant or did not give a description (which I should have paid more attention to when signing), I let this go. He did not violate the contract, but it felt he used a loophole and was frustrating because we assumed the assistant was going to be there to help us. He should have let us know this information when our guest count dropped or any time before the wedding, but only gave us this information once I asked for a refund. Additionally, the photographer, Sean, told us he was leaving 30 minutes early from the wedding because he believed he was done. Again, this was not the worst thing, but pretty annoying. The final issue was the one that made us decide to write this review: we paid for a wedding album and have still not received it even though we got our photographs back in January 2023 from our Christmas 2022 wedding. He asked me to confirm the delivery address in February 2023 and I did. We still had not received the album in May 2023, so I reached back out to Ricky. He apologized and said he would follow up with the developers. I responded asking for an ETA for the album. He never responded to that message and I have followed up several times and have not received a response. We ended up moving and are not at the shipping address I confirmed about six months ago, so I doubt we will ever get the album. The wedding day album is listed in the contract as $850. I believe Flemings Photography scammed us out of almost a thousand dollars and that is not acceptable. Due to this contract break, along with frustrating last minute changes and cutting of corners, I would not recommend Flemings Photography to anyone. The photographs themselves were fine and we received those in a relatively timely manner, however, I believe we could have received the same quality of photographs with any other company. I do not recommend Flemings Photography due to their unprofessionalism, their lack of transparency of the contract items, and the $850 scam of the undelivered wedding album. read more

Ricky did an amazing beautiful job for my daughters 6th birthday pictures. He was patient assertive and paid attention to detail and just owned the shoot I didn't have to do anything except adjust my daughters outfit and hair. It was pretty bright outside and I addressed my concern for shadows because that's something I strongly dislike when I see professional photos and he assured me there wouldn't be any and there was NOT one ! I was totally impressed. I got my photos back super fast, they were easy to access and just beautiful. I would 100% do business with him again and I'll be recommending all my friends and family. Ricky is personable, reliable, and fun to be around...basically everything you could want in a photographer. Our courthouse wedding got canceled due to the coronavirus but we decided to proceed with our scheduled photoshoot anyways. Ricky helped to lift our spirits and we can't wait to see what he's captured. We ultimately decided to elope last minute on our own so we contacted Ricky again; he was very accomodating and responsive to our needs. He went out of his way for us which is amazing given that we contacted him last minute. Extremely unprofessional. Ricky hired 2 professional models from a reputable agency to pose as a bride & groom and he never paid them for their work. He did; however, use their photos on his website and social media pages to promote his business and perpetuate the illusion that these models were in fact clients. In reality, these are models who were never paid for their imagery, time or work. read more

My husband and I were set to be married on March 21, 2020. COVID hit and it seemed like every day it got worse and worse until finally we had to call off our wedding. All of the vendors were great except for Ricky from Flemings. We were told by all of them that they would work with us to postpone and some offered to refund the money. That is not the experience we had with Ricky. We were told that they would do 'elopement shoot' and when we said that would not work he basically said we'd lose the money. My dad was able to talk him into postponing to October of last year however, that did not happen and we've been dealing with nothing but trouble from him. We have tried working with him but he said that he will not work with us and he won't give us any of the money we paid him back. My dad even discussed just giving us the deposit back and he said no. This photographer does not practice ethically. COVID is not something anyone could anticipate AND there was nothing in the contract about an 'act of god' like he tried to claim. My husband, myself and my dad looked over it. If you don't mind dealing with someone who does not practice ethically and has no qualms about stealing money that you saved and worked hard to get for your big day...then you can take a chance with Ricky and Flemings Photography. However, if you want someone who has values and practices ethically then you'd likely want to choose somewhere else. All I can say is to really think about investing with Flemings for your photography. Ricky was also supposed to send out two photographers (in the contract) and he went back on his word. We knew it was too late to make a change so we were hoping that we could still trust him. Obviously the trust had been misplaced and dealing with Ricky during such a stressful and upsetting time was one of the worst experiences with a bad business to date. read more

Ricky is just amazing from start to finish. He is extremely professional, and has great personality as well which only made the photo session even better. I have had a ton of photography session that were awkward Because the photographer was just sooo quiet or would not tell you "hey you need to fix your hair". Ricky, went above and beyond with my grad photos. I had a hard time with my grad cap that kept falling off. He was patient and even held out his phone camera as a mirror so I could fix my hair and/or adjust my cap. My grad photos came out amazing. I loved that he would say okay turn your head here, chin there, look that etc etc it was all soooo helpful because (I'm no model/don't know how to pose haha). The pictures came out bright, with amazing quality just like how I wanted them. Many photographers will take great photos, however with the edits they either go over board where it looks bad or very little and you wonder why did I hire a person. Ricky is incredible! After looking around at different photographers we stumbled upon him, straight away we really enjoyed his style of photography, the way he captures everyone is amazing & He does it so effortlessly as well, just blending in with everyone, you never knew he was taking pictures! The whole process of booking him was straight forward, and we really enjoyed how he put lots of time and effort into meeting us and building the relationship up with him so we were more relaxed on the pre wedding shoot and on the wedding! We were so chilled around him and had a great laugh with him. He captured every moment, we couldn't of been happier with the final pictures! Flemings Photography is worth every penny, from start to finish. A great, down to earth, laid back guy and truly an amazing photographer!! We would recommend him and his team to anyone. i'm very disappointed with my photos from flemings photography. all the photos were at distance. no eye cordination was put into the photos. my husband disagreed after the first time he had to call rickey for me.. he's not good with returning calls or text.once he has your payment the service changes.however i wanted to support a young man in business for himself.mr.fleming is friendly,timely and after my experience deceitful disappointing all at the same time.the quality of the finish product was poor . i pray that this criticism will be taken with grace. when you have a craft you should always display that in your work. for high$ and low end $photos. read more

From the first phone call with Ricky I was instantly relaxed and confident he was the one I wanted for our wedding and engagement pictures. My mom and I searched through photographers for a while before we came across Flemings Photography. It was actually a fluke and weird how we found them but it was the best thing that could've happened. I had such high expectations and excitement to do our first shoot with Ricky, which was our engagement pictures. Ricky surpassed our expectations on the day we took our engagements photos, he was early (we were late, sorry!) , was super relaxed which made us relaxed, we barely even felt like we were taking photos! My fiance and I have never been one to jump in front of the camera, if anything we shy away from it and we found ourselves loving it and just in the moment with each other. I am completely excited for my wedding day, we even added extra time so we could have Ricky and his team there longer! Even after my wedding is over, my fiance and i have already agreed that any special occasion we want pictures for, we will be contacting Flemings Photography.
