PJ made our engagement photoshoot so memorable and fun! Both me and my partner were worried about looking awkward for photoshoot, but PJ is a professional and distracted us by making sure it was a good time. He was flexible and accommodating of last minute changes and worked very quick to get us our edited photos. Can't recommend PJ enough!
PJ made shooting my daughters senior portraits seamless. she was comfortable, I was relaxed and he captured her inner beauty. He was very friendly and caring. We loved the location he recommended and his communication and information sharing is on point! He will be shooting our engagement photos and our wedding and we are very confident in the amazing work he does.
I just want to say upfront that PJ is an amazing photographer! Our fourth son is about to graduate and unfortunately, we did not discover PJ until now. Just not easy to get teenage boys to smile and pose for a bunch of photos. But somehow, PJ was able to make it happen and make it a fun experience for my son at the same time. He is just very easy-going and has a way of making his subject comfortable. He told a lot of silly jokes while taking photos. He has a good eye for scenery and composition. He didn't just say smile to my son. He would tell him which way to turn his head, where to place his hands, how to position his feet. It made it so much easier to get wonderful photos. We were both really happy with the experience and are ecstatic with the photos. I would highly recommend PJ. Did I forget to mention that he was also incredibly reasonably priced for his services? Despite the rain and park closure, he was able to turn our photoshoot into such a fun experience. We were camera shy and PJ was able to make us feel comfortable and helped pose us. P.J. is an absolutely incredible photographer who is a master at capturing the natural beauty and joy of all of his subjects. He took my family's portraits for the first time ever and to say they came out amazing is an understatement. I selected P.J. for my son's Senior Portraits (with some family photos as well) based on the reviews and photo examples I saw and I was NOT disappointed. He was an excellent communicator before, during and after the photoshoot. As a mom, I appreciated that was open to suggestions from me of what poses I wanted to see and he encouraged us to engage naturally with each other...hence the photos of my teenagers wrestling as they often do! His suggestions were great and I anticipate using him again for my daughter's Senior photos in a few more years!

From very first steps of communication he sent us all details about payment, times and amount of photos we will receive. We didn't have to ask him bunch of questions, because he already answered them all by having clear info upfront. We highly recommend PJ to everyone and especially to those who want to get things done well and fast. We are looking forward to other photoshoots with our baby in the future.
We love PJ, and have loved getting to know him through our wedding planning process. We now consider him a friend! When we initially started interviewing photographers, my now-husband fell in love with PJ's personality and style almost instantly (I wish I could say that is how he fell in love with me....).PJ shoots with natural lighting so beautifully and upon speaking with him over the phone...we knew he was the right fit for us. We first met PJ in person when we did our engagement shoot in September 2019. He instantly made us feel comfortable and at ease. Our photos turned our natural and were beautifully captured. He seamlessly captured our go-with-the-flow and goofy natures, love of donuts, and love of our East Bay neighborhood. Flash forward a few months....and a worldwide pandemic hits. PJ has been such a grounding force during these last few months as we changed our wedding plans again and again. PJ has been nothing but patient and accommodating for us. We finally decided on a micro-wedding in a private residence. Not going to lie, I was nervous that our photos were going to look meh-meh since our "venue" wasn't fancy. When we got our photos back, I was awe-struck. PJ really worked his magic and made everything look like it came out of a fairytale. Post-ceremony, we arranged for a golden hour newlywed shoot. Let me tell you, PJ will do ANYTHING for the shot. We climbed hills, rocks, and got into bushes. PJ is dedicated to his craft. We can't wait for PJ to come back out to shoot our postponed reception and our future family photos. We feel pretty lucky that we found a photographer we truly love and can't wait to continue to work with.

From start to finish PJ goes the extra mile to make the process as SMOOTH and painless as possible. He also has an amazing eye and captures moment that feel like you're at a Hollywood wedding. Although we only had him working are small wedding he managed to stay hidden and capture amazing candids of us and our guests. There really wasn't anything about the experience that was lacking. Exceptional from A-Z!!! We ordered the large wedding album and it is the perfect way to be able to look back every year to see our special day. The layout and quality are the hands down best I have ever seen. I added a few pics of the wedding book to this review to showcase his skills. He's also lighting fast! From start to finish is only took 3 weeks to get our pics from our wedding and to get an album layout for approval. read more

P.J. provided exceptional service and communication. From initial contact, P.J. was responsive (which I appreciated because many others didn't even reply), professional, timely, friendly, and made us feel at ease. The booking process and planning was a breeze. There were a few questionnaires and a schedule to complete in the months/weeks leading up to our wedding, which allowed for a smooth wedding day, set with clear expectations. The day of, he was so patient and pivoted effortlessly when we veered off schedule a bit. When we first met P.J., we were both so nervous about being the center of attention and having to take photos in front of everyone. Fast forward to our wedding day and we felt like natural models! It was too fun, especially our couples photos. Not only did he make us feel comfortable, but our friends and family also raved about him. Professional and does a lovely job. Images were delivered in an easy to access format and quickly. I would hire PJ again. He does a wonderful job and communication is amazing. We hired PJ for my daughters senior pictures. He gave us a list of possible great locations and met us at the agreed upon time and location. I got a bit lost but he was polite and helpful in helping me get to the correct spot. He listened well to what we wanted to do and was very supportive as well as giving us ideas on where to go and how she should stand etc. every picture came out wonderful. Every time I emailed him he responded quickly and there were reminders as we got close to the appointment. He also considered the weather and made it very easy for us so that all we had to do was show up. If you are looking for a good photographer I recommend PJ. read more

PJ made us feel at ease from the very beginning, from the questionnaire that allowed us to communicate what we wanted (but maybe weren't sure how to verbalize), to the big day, when everything was taken care of by him and his assistant. They captured a great mix of posed and candid shots of us, our wedding party, guests, and the venue itself. There were many times throughout the evening where we totally forgot they were even there, all the while they were capturing the wonderful evening beautifully. Not only were the photos just what we had hoped for and more, but the digital versions were done in only 17 days! I've heard horror stories of couples waiting several months for their photos, so we were pleasantly surprised when ours were ready so quickly. read more

Pj is absolutely amazing and we feel so lucky to have had him for our big day! We started our journey with PJ in 2019 after our engagement in April of that year; I was fortunate enough to find him through a Facebook add where he was offering a free engagement session if we met with him to discuss our wedding. My husband and I were immediately comfortable and had a great meeting before scheduling our engagement session! Our engagement session was seriously amazing, PJ did such a fantastic job at making us comfortable even when it came to posing! When we got our photos back (in 4 days by the way which was so fast!!!) we were in love with them and knew we had to book PJ for our big day!! COVID threw us for a loop but PJ rolled with the punches and worked with us to reschedule to a new date! When our wedding day finally came - 11/19/21 - Pj and his second shoorter Christina showed up and did such an amazing job! We were running behind and I was definitely stressed but PJ and Christina made everything happened and consistently assured me we were doing okay on time!! They were such an amazing presence during our day and made the day better! We got our sneak peeks back and are so incredibly in love with them and excited to see everything when its finished. All in all we cannot recommend PJ enough to everyone!! Seriously amazing, if we had to do it again we would choose him over and over and we will definitely be using him for our future photography endeavors! read more

In my experience with planning our wedding, I have noticed that not all businesses will respond or follow through with their commitments. PJ is not that kind of individual. He was super responsive, organized, and committed to providing top notch service. He followed up, was so great with communication, and was dependable. His work is also AMAZING! He did our engagement and wedding photos and made the experience fun! Our wedding guests raved about his professionalism. He worked his butt off to get us the most amazing shots. P.J. went above and beyond our expectations for a Large Family photo session in Sacramento! Not only was he able to wrangle together our extended family of 15, but he made the session fun for all. Most importantly, the photos were absolutely beautiful! We were lucky enough to capture the colorful fall leaves and his suggestion for the venue and time of day for the lighting was perfect. Trust me, you'll love your wedding photos with P.J. P.J. Was very flexible not only with our time, but as well with the price. We had our wedding ceremony very late and after waiting for us, he was always in an amazing mood, ready and excited to start our newlyweds photo session. He actually started our photo session, unknowingly, from when we arrived until we left, creating a story line of our wedding ceremony. After speaking with him, I knew immediately that I wanted him as my photographer. He was genuinely caring and compassionate. My husband and I met up PJ before covid to discuss engagement and wedding photos. We liked him and appreciate his help. His service fee was more reasonable than others especially ones with a budget. We did our engagement photos and love them! He made my husband a model! He hates the camera. As a covid bride, you can imagine all the different changes. I think I emailed PJ 5 different plans and he went with it. He helped so much to make sure my wedding would run as smoothly as possible. He was more than a photographer. He send us our wedding photos less than a week and half after our wedding. His work was phenomenal and beautiful. I was speechless. I am so glad we chose him as our photographer. What can I say about P.J. and his wife Erica? My wife and I had the pleasure of having P.J. as a photographer for both our engagement and wedding sessions. We have little to no experience with photography or what to look for, making the search for a photographer stressful. I found P.J. through a friend and got the opportunity to chat with him through web cam. Immediately, I could tell that he was such an easy going, knowledgeable, and passionate person about photography. Even more so than the skills of a photographer are the vibe and good relationship you have with them, and P.J. and Erica make you feel completely at ease and build a trusting friendship with you. At our engagement photoshoot, my wife and I had no idea what to expect and felt pretty uncomfortable immediately, but P.J. always helped us feel comfortable and natural while taking pictures, letting us know what poses to make, never making us feel rushed, and prioritizing having a good, memorable time rather than simply the outcome of the photo itself. We could not have asked for a more enjoyable session. At our wedding we were blown away at P.J and Erica's professionalism and ability to navigate all our friends and family, including the children during the group photos. It is not easy to mobilize groups and keep everyone calm and happy, but P.J. and Erica's calm nature and positive attitudes helped everyone feel comfortable and an enjoyable atmosphere. My fiancé and I had never had a photo shoot with any professional photographer before PJ did our engagement photos. Pj was awesome and did such an amazing job on the photos! Not only did He make us completely comfortable, he also was constantly making us laugh (which also turned out to be great photos). He has such a good eye and can tell you exactly what looks best. Before the photo shoot, we were kind of nervous about posing and what not. This is our second time working with PJ; our other son was also graduating high school and it was again time for senior pictures. There is no denying PJ is very talented at photography - just glance at his gallery to see his great work. What you don't see is how PJ works with people. He has a talent for quickly putting people at ease, getting them to open up and relax to get great shots. PJ was able to capture my son's personality with quality shots and we have wonderful pictures of this milestone. I highly recommend Fits and Stops. The whole process from beginning to end was incredibly easy. We booked an engagement session online and met up with PJ at the UC Davis Arboretum. The session was an hour and he was able to capture so many photos during that time. PJ is very funny and gets people comfortable with the camera easily. His work is stunning and he gave us so many options to choose from for our Save the Dates and wedding website.
