Choosing them was the absolute best choice we made, because they made everything else fall in place. The grace and compassion they showed our family won't be forgotten, and we wish anyone going through grief to have the support, compassion, and professionalism of the Hollands. We worked most closely with Jonathan and Reverend Roy Helms... and truly, we cannot thank them and their staff enough for how they helped us. Their planning, communication, and care has been priceless. The only note: it is a very tiny room for the service, accommodating about 30-35 people, so if you need a large room for the service, this could be an issue. The visitation is more relaxed in space. I paid for my husbands funeral in full but Mel Pennington decided to make it harder than it already was by meddling in family drama. They also dropped the flowers from the funeral on my front porch for me to come home to also gave more than half of the flowers to other people also divided the flowers and sympathy cards to who they thought they should go to. To say the least very intrusive and judge mental small town and small minded family owned funeral home.

They gladly accommodated his wishes of not being buried in a suit, even though it created more work for them to have his arms showing in a polo. It's been almost three years since they helped with the passing of my father, and I just called them to see if they'd share some resources they provided to my family for a friend who just lost her dad. The answer? "Of course, I'll email that to you in just a moment." No question of where that friend lives or who is doing the services (potentially a competitor), just them caring for those who are mourning and doing everything they can to help.
