That man is a genius and his designs are downright gorgeous. Also downright expensive. T.J. Maxx has a plethora of purses (including MK purses) among other things like clothes, makeup, furniture and shoes that are made by high end designers at discounted prices. I'd be lying if I told you I looked at any of the other things in this store but the purses, however. The smell of the leather, the way they feel, how they are just oh so pretty keeps me in the purse section of this store until I'm made to leave. Security usually gets called because I'm fondling them all weird and creepy like. Ok, not really, but I'm sure someone is looking at me on a security camera while I'm in the purse section thinking to themselves that I need a life and I need one ASAP. The merchandise here rotates so frequently that things go on clearance fairly often. That means even more of a discount for you, so if you love a bargain like I do check in often. My bill was $150.78 for 2 items; a pair of dress shorts and 1 baby overall. Girl at register failed to explained why the items were so expensive. I lived in Milan 14 years, I also visit NY once a year I know some clothes can be very expensive and that's ok I just wasn't expecting that from a boutique in Hammond. However, I cannot deny they had pretty cute stuff there. I'm giving this place a 4 star review for 2 reasons: 1 one of the girls made me feel like we were going to steal something, she would pretend to be folding clothes everywhere we walked but she was nice and tried to help us but I would suggest cameras instead? And 2 since they have expensive clothing there employees should be more enthusiastic when showing the merchandise. They made sure I had a dressing room while I continued to look around the store at their clothes, shoes, sunglasses, belts, and other accessories. Their selection of clothing fits several different tastes. I ended up with a couple of items, including a Michael Kors dress off the clearance rack that was nicely discounted. While he was looking at the hobby/collectibles shop down the street, I stumbled upon Three Sisters Boutique. It was a quiet weekday morning and the shops on Pine street were just opening for the day. I arrived and loved the cute clothes and accessories at Three Sisters. If I wasn't on vacation with a mostly empty wallet from spending too much money in New Orleans, I would have probably spent more time and money in this establishment. It is upscale, boutique clothing in a quaint small town. However those designer labels must come at the boutique price. They had some lovely smelling candles from a Louisiana company with cute Louisiana-specific scent names (Southern Bell, Fleur de Lis, etc). I'm not sure if I'll ever be in the area again, but I would highly recommend it for anyone on their way to or coming from New Orleans.
