She asked all the important questions and provided me with key points of information that would be helpful for the move . She was also able to give me an approximate estimate regarding the timeframe and cost of the move. The day before the move, I was contacted for confirmation. Reed's provided my high-rise condominium with their Certificate Of Insurance . I was contacted by the crew 10 minutes prior to their arrival to let me know that they were on their way. Raz and Calvin arrived promptly at 8 am . They securely wrapped all my furniture and kyak and transported them to our new condo in a timely manner. We were extremely pleased with their professionalism and service. I shared with the crew that growing up in Bronx NY my dad worked for a moving company so I know how hard they work on what can be a tiring and difficult job. We were beyond thrilled with all aspects of our move, from the initial "Guaranteed Not to Exceed"…read moreestimate (the only company of seven to give us something other than an estimate that could go up significantly), to the final move into our storage unit 4 hours away. Jose, Walter and Joel packed out our 3100 sq foot house in just about five hours, and they couldn't have been friendlier, more professional, or more accommodating while they were doing it. We had a color-coded system in place, and they not only picked up on it immediately, they enthusiastically supported it throughout the evolution. We didn't have many requests, but those we did they responded to happily. They were extremely careful with all our belongings, and they left the house in great shape despite the obvious disruption. The next day, Jose, Joel and Gene (Jean?) came to load our HHG into the truck. They were done in exactly two hours! WAY quicker than we would have guessed. We hit Jose with a last-minute request to allow us to affix inventory numbers to all the boxes, and he happily accommodated the request, altering the order of goods going into the truck to allow us time to finish our inventory. Again, the three gentlemen could not have been more professional as they carried out their responsibilities. Jose made sure we had his number and he reviewed the plans for drop off to our storage unit the following day, so there would be no surprises ... which we REALLY appreciated. The unloading process was flawless too. I was active duty military for 33 years, and this is move number 12 for us ... so we've had some experience with this maneuver. This has been the absolute BEST all-around experience with a moving crew that we've had! And this is the FIRST one I'm actually paying for, so that's saying something!  I told Jose several times this has been about as stress-free a move as is possible. If I needed to move again in this area, I wouldn't even get several quotes - Ray the Mover gets it, hands down!

Anytime you use a mover get a quote and email contract and shop around for an honest human being this guy is crap! The guy has no care for trust and honesty also charge me the same price for a 1 door down the hall for a 20 min move -10 miles away? Who does that ? More background..First experience is he works with specific assisted living places in cape coral and he charged us 350 to move my dad one door down the hall.. Yes it was high but we needed a move asap ( and I had no time to call around) While moving my dad he took the pow flag off the wall and didn't honor it correctly my dad a veteran was pissed Also the assisted living place highpoint added his moving bill to my bill from them Ps highpoint sucks for veterans they charged us for $$ for my dads free medication and moved my dad illegally Now back to ray the mover who was recommend by highpoint.. He said he move my dad in cape coral from one assisted living place to another and he then backed out an hour before ( after asking him a week before ) he said yes He showed up 3 hours earlier then he said he would and then left sent me a very confusint message saying " text this guy and Venmo him 350" I was panicked so I did He said I only take checks or cash but btw a week early he never asked me with payment to use -- so red flags for sure!! So I called highpoint and asked them to add the move again to my dads bill they said yes called ray back and he said we left and called me a liar (?) and then told me some other persons to Venmo! I used this company twice; the first time being a reasonable experience with the exception of…read moretiming. Very late due to truck issues but that happens. The second time the tardiness threw a very big wrench into the gears and I don't remember the excuses but know we ended up having to stay in a hotel because of the delays. What is unique about both instances is being told that there were issues with their bank so they had to have cash for the job. For each occurence the other oddity was not being able to get a reciept for my tax purposes. I saved all the text messages between us in case I faced an audit but it occured to me businesses have the luxury of collecting unreported cash...and that bothers me!!

I have used them three times, they were always on time, used extra care and were priced very competitively, I made the mistake of using a different mover once and they lost items (I'm talking a 10 mile move) and were very nasty when I asked for items. I will always work with Demers in the future.
