Network Construction & Drywall

We live in an old house which had wood paneling on one of our large walls. We removed the paneling…read moreand encountered terrible 50 year old wallpaper which was really flaky and hard to remove. We ended up getting all the paper off but there was glue, residue, and lead paint left behind. That's when we decided we needed a professional to skim coat our wall. We could have attempted to do it ourselves but it's in our living room and a major focal point in the house so we wanted it to be done well. Eddie was very accommodating to our schedules. He ended up doing the job the day after Thanksgiving, which many people wouldn't have. We are very impressed with the results. The texture on the wall matches our other walls exactly. We will definitely hire him again. He has many years of experience and it shows and his prices are reasonable.

I wholeheartedly recommend Eddie Sapien and Network Construction for any remodel or general…read moreconstruction project. We wanted to put down some wood flooring in two rooms. While I was confident in my DIY ability for the small room, I was not confident with the large living/dining room. This room is a focal point from the foyer and contains a wide step down. Deciding to get professional help we solicited three bids. Two contractors came, looked at the room and with little thought, quoted a cost that within a couple of hundred dollars from each other. Between these two lackluster bids, Eddie looked at the job, asked several questions about what layout we wanted, how we would like the step done and so on. Eddie made some suggestions which reflected his expertise. Eddie's communication skills left the other contractors behind at the starting line. Even better, his bid was in line with the other two. This job was not a large undertaking and would be done in a day. Eddie and Louis showed up on the appointed day and at the appointed time, giving lie to the stereotype of contractors being haphazard with time management and showing up late. During the process, Eddie schooled me as to the installation so I could do the small room. The job went very well and the floor looked great. However, due to the nature of the flooring material and the float installation, the step down was an epic fail. Eddie displayed extreme professional competency but it was just putting lipstick on a pig. We put our heads together and come up with plan B. I acquired two pieces of solid wood with a similar grain as that of the flooring. Eddie picked up the new material, joined them, shaped it, stained and finished it. Eddie then came back and installed the new step down. A tricky piece of work as the step down faced floor tile that was not quite set uniformly, but Eddie made it look perfect at no extra charge. We could not be happier with the finished product and the fine service provided by Eddie Sapien and Network Construction.

Browder Painting Company

We Recommend Browder…read more.... The exterior of our garage door was in bad shape after less than 8 years since the original brown paint was turning red and running down to the ground. Plus we needed to redo baseboards in the house due to lots of wear and tear. Since we've seen trucks from Browder throughout our development and reviews were very good, we got in touch. Stars: - Overall: 5 - The Start: 5 - Explanations: 5 - Scheduling: 5 - Process: 5 - Workmanship: 5 - Communication: 5 - Cleanliness: 5 - Cost: 4 - The Start: I called on a Monday and scheduled an appointment with Nick Nystrom, one of their Project Managers, for that Thursday. - Explanations: Nick assessed the situation, both inside and out, and made arrangements to send us large samples of paint (and stucco for a small amount of damage) colors by overnight mail. Nick was a very easy guy to deal with. - Scheduling: Simple. Browder is usually very busy with multiple crews (currently they've got 30-35 painters), but they had an opening the following Tuesday and Wednesday so we grabbed it. The scheduler noted "your lead painter will be Juan Camarillo. He's one of our best". - Process: Nick the Project Manager arrived at 730 AM on Tuesday with the team of Juan and Reynaldo. With booties over their shoes, they moved furniture and covered the flooring...tile with carpeting in the bedrooms...with plastic sheeting. The garage door and most of the baseboards were done the first day, Tuesday. The rest was finished Wednesday morning followed by moving things back into place and a thorough cleanup. - Workmanship: Very good. Many people stopped to admire and ask about the garage door since the problem seems to be an epidemic in our neighborhood (picture #1). The baseboards look brand new...although some sections were "overpainted" and had "granules" hanging down (picture #2). I called Nick who asked Juan to investigate. Juan trimmed them in 15 minutes. I must say Juan Camarillo (there are a few Juans at Browder) is a master with 11 years at Browder who took the same care in our house as he would in his own. His assistant, Reynaldo, was an exterior painter for 8 years and fairly new to the interior. There was a difference in skill and care. - Communication: Excellent. Nick and Juan stayed in touch to keep us up-to-date and patiently answered questions. - Cleanliness: Really good. Even during the painting process indoors, they did a fine job. - Cost: Reasonable. A bit more than $3,900. All in all it was a very good experience. Our next job will be the walls and we'll definitely ask for Juan C. if we go with Browder again. NOTE: When Juan and Reynaldo moved a dresser in the primary bedroom, one of the legs was bent. I couldn't fix it myself so I spoke to Nick who sent Joe, 1 of 2 Field Supervisors, to investigate. Between the 2 of us, we got it back in workable shape.

I hired Browder painting to wash all the mildew off our two story stucco house and repaint it…read more(three colors). Wow, they did a great job. We have lots of wood trim and they were exacting, it looks fantastic. They also came out after the painting was done for a free window washing. The workers were nice and offered me advice on paint colors (including painting samples) and gave me names of good contractors for other work that I need done. Really excellent service. Will use them again.
