They wanted to make sure it was the perfect ring. After that, I came here for my wedding band, and got a really nice tantalum ring. A metal Ive never heard of, and something very unique. This family owned business is great. My parents take all of their jewelry here to get it cleaned and fixed if something happens. I am not happy right now. I have used this place many times to purchase settings and fix my jewelry. I went in yesterday to ask about a large vintage cross and matching ring to see if the diamonds, rubies, and emeralds were real and what period it was from. They said they were busy and to leave it there so I did reluctantly. I called THEM the next day in the afternoon and asked if he had tested it (which takes less than ten minutes) and I was told they didn't get to it they were busy (again). So I said thats fine I'll just pick it up. The woman on the phone replied, "well hes going to look at it now". I said, "ok no problem I can be there in an hour and half". Figuring it would give him more time to look at my jewelry and not rush it. WELL I showed up the girl went to the back got the envelope and turned around and said to the owner, "well what is it? is it real?" then she walks out to me and says Its gold plated says NOTHING about the red and green stones and says that the diamonds are are not real. Thats interesting to me I have sold jewelry for many years and I am a collector of stones and vintage items. I am going to get a second opinion because I am pretty sure the 2 secs they spent on my items is inaccurate. So I know its gold and silver for sure thats it right now. I do know enough to look for imperfections, bubbles, the fog test (for genuine rubies which it passed), and that emeralds lack luster which these do. I will update after I go see another accredited jewler. I am totally disappointed. read more

Nice jewelery store. Stopped in to get watch battery changed and service was quick and friendly. They also do ear piercing. Never going to a mall kiosk again for watch service! This family owned and run jewelry store is a gem! I think customer service is second to none. Not like mall jewelry stores where they are working on commission. The estate jewelry always something fun and at great prices. They do appraisals for insurance. So brought engage ring to get two stone replaced. I was told it would take two weeks and we would get a call. Never got a call so stopped in next business day. They said they had a problem and it take another week and they will. Do you think I got a call? Nope. Stopped in next business day. Said still having a problem with brackets. Said will take another week and they will call. Ask me if they called. Nope. I will be going next business day to see if don't. What started as a two week project will be more than a month and, at this point, I don't know what type of damage has been done to the ring will all the trying. Don't take a job if you can't do it and the customer service is the worst. Three promised calls and have never received a call. My fiancé was thinking about getting band there. This is now out of the question. I like shopping local. It I would rather go to a chain store for something like this after such an experience. Don't go here for repairs. Be warned!!! read more

I live in PA, but work near Washington, NJ. I asked a couple of co-workers where I could get some jewelry repaired and the answer was Fliegauf's. Over the past 20 years, I have had several pieces repaired to perfect condition at very reasonable prices. Today I just picked up necklace that needed the clasp repaired. But the one job that amazed me was a friend's silver plated tray that had been damaged in a fire and all the plating was destroyed. It was one of the few heirloom pieces that survived the house fire. They had tossed it thinking it was impossible to fix, but I grabbed it on the sly and brought it in to the store to see what they could do. They polished it then sent it out to be replated and it came back looking like new. And the price vs. the amount of work done was quite reasonable. My friend broke down into tears seeing her grandmothers tray restored. I don't know where else I could have taken it, but Fliegauf's store is my #1 place for repairs Oh, by the way, they sell really nice stuff too! read more
