Waygu Beef & Black Truffle Ravioli

Great service and food for my Birthday Dinner. My Filet was cooked perfect and the sauce was very good. The waygu ravioli was tasty. Thank you!!!

Excellent food. This place will give any big city restaurant a run for their money . The ribeye that I had was so delicious! Don't forget to try their charcuterie board to start of your dining experience. Our server was inviting and fun. This is a great date night spot.

    Charcuterie Board

My husband and I ate here last night and it was a great experience. We had 2 red wine flights sampling 6 different wines. The flight was an interesting mix. The waiter was knowledgeable and provided excellent service. The Charcuterie Board was really good! We ordered the Rib-eye which was delicious and the Risotto Special was by far the best Risotto dish I've ever had. Very relaxed cool vibe definitely a hidden gem in Bourbonnais.

I started with the Preserved Olives. The foccocia bread was delicious, very fresh and flavorful. The olives came whole, which surprised me because I thought they would've came chopped, so I sent them back to be chopped so I could spread them over my bread. Great combo if you ask me. The staff was very accomodating. I had the Seared Scallops for my small plate. Veggies were fresh not frozen, and not over cooked, which I really appreciate since I like my asparagus to snap when I bite into it. The scallops were a little hard to slice with a butter knife, but tasted very good especially sopped in the yellow pepper puree. Mmm... For dessert I had the Toasted Pound Cake. OMG so good! For every bite I took a little of everything. Sweet but not too sweet, The whipped creme had a sweet flavor to it, not bland like most, Vanilla ice cream, with two different berry puree's that were so yummy. Delicious! My daughter had the Meyer Lemon Sorbet, which she did not like. My husband and I tried it and the sorbet was very tart, maybe it's fresh made and peel got left in? I don't know, but I would definitely recommend the pound cake over the sorbet. For her small plate she had the Hanger Steak which was delicious and tender. The spinach was fresh and tasty in the steak rue. The onions were a little on the sweet side for me, but I loved the shoestring potato garnish on the top. Surprisingly tasty. My husband had the Smoked Salmon which was ok. He commented when we left that he thought they should have a smoked filet instead of thin slices. I'm not a huge fan of smoked salmon to begin with, and this appetizer did not turn me. It tasted a little fishy to me, but maybe that's what it's supposed to taste like? I don't know. The bill was a little pricy, but if you're out treating yourself it's worth it. ;)

The food is exceptionally good for the area. However the service is lacking. Expect to be there due 2 hours!

Cozy corner by the Jewel. Pork Chop was sweet & juicy. The Old Fashion was tasty too. Quick, friendly service. Will go back again very soon.

Great service, amazing, high quality food. You don't have to drink wine to come here but the Malbec (dry red wine) is very good.

Great Wine Bar with Surprising Space and Tasty Bites!…read more This wine bar is such a hidden gem! From the outside, it looks small, but once you're in, it opens up into a much larger space with a relaxed, upscale vibe. I loved the small outdoor area out front for a casual sip, and there's a spacious tented area in the back that's perfect for events or extra seating. The concept of trying different wines is a fun and unique experience. Our favorite menu item was hands-down the Buffalo cauliflower bites--crispy, flavorful, and addictive. I also really enjoyed the Alaskan Pollock wings, which were a pleasant surprise. Parking is very limited, so be careful. Do not park in the lots of neighboring restaurants--you will get towed. Best option: park along the train tracks. The only downside for me was the TouchTunes jukebox. I was excited to play some music, but many of the songs I enjoy (which are not inappropriate by any means) weren't available. That was a little disappointing and took away from the vibe just a bit. Also, our waitress wasn't rude or mean, but she wasn't particularly warm or welcoming either--it left the service feeling just okay. Still, it's a great spot overall--worth visiting for the food, wine, and atmosphere!

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.

The food is honestly the best thing about this spot; the vibes aren't quite right for a special date night, but might be perfect for a birthday party or girls night out and service can either be hit or miss. If you come here, definitely make a night of it in downtown Lemont - there's lots to explore, whether for a nightcap or dessert after Barrel & Vine to turn it into a night.

No trouble getting a table but the bar area was pretty full. Our server was fast and professional. She nailed everyone's drink and food orders with no issues. Food came out fast and hot as well. Tough to do with 10 people at a table. I ordered the Honey Glazed chicken. It was pretty good but the chicken had a few chewy spots. Flavor was great though. The glaze was sweet but not overpowering. 2nd night I ordered the Parmesan chicken. That chicken was great but o didn't care for the pasta it was served on. Flavor was good but just not my thing. Service was great both nights. Pricing is fair as well. Recommend if you're in the area and looking for something different than your typical nationwide chain.

Service was slow -- to non existent -- at best. We ordered two saganashkees that were bland, with little to no crust. The server said he has never served two at once before, so I guess we loose. I ordered the Poke. It too was bland and some of the tuna was hard!! Yes, hard!! The serving included a dollop of guacamole that had no business on the plate, in my opinion. Chunks of avocado, that I thought I was getting, fine, but not a traditional guacamole. Not good. Three of the four persons at our table ordered burgers and were all equally disappointing. It seemed like the burgers were diced up like it we to get used like in chili. But then, there tried to make a hamburger out of it!! Really weird. The taste was good, but unmanageable as a hamburger. One of the persons at our table ordered a shrimp appetizer. He said it was "ok". This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is quite comfortable and the beer is okay. But, that's all it has going for it. Our previous visit a few years ago was much more enjoyable. We see no reason to return.
