Using VPN - so that's why it show's as Virgina - I'm based locally to Worcester…read more 0 Stars - Dishonest and Misleading Service Looks like a running theme, Venmo, HD Rental Truck, No Receipts provided when asked, scammer and fraudster - don't do business with Patrick Cote. I had a zero-turn residential mower that wouldn't start. After trying basic troubleshooting myself (fresh fuel, new spark plug, starting fluid), I suspected a carburetor issue but preferred to have a professional diagnose it since access is difficult. Patrick Cote answered my call and offered a full-service package for $169 + $50 deposit, including oil, filters, spark plug, and blade sharpening, along with diagnosis. He later claimed a mouse had chewed through the wiring harness and quoted ~$850 total for replacement. I agreed, even after asking about aftermarket parts (which he refused to use due to "liability"). Two days later, he said the harness was fixed but now the transmission had leaked fluid, requiring another ~$650 in parts (labor waived). Over the next two weeks, he blamed delays on parts but eventually returned the mower. It ran--but that's where the positives end. Upon inspection: The "new" wiring harness was clearly NOT replaced (same old dusty wires) Both transmissions were untouched (no signs of service or disassembly) Oil filter was not replaced Blades were not sharpened Air filter unchanged Only actual new parts I could identify: a fuel filter and a fuel pump (~$35 parts) To make matters worse, zero-turn transmissions are typically not rebuildable--they're replaced outright--so his explanation didn't make sense from the start. When I confronted him with photos, he responded defensively with the usual "I've never had a complaint" line instead of addressing the facts. Bottom line: I was charged for work that was not performed. Based on my experience, this "business" is misleading at best and dishonest at worst. Avoid at all costs this guy is a fraud / scam artist. I texted him a few more times - no response. Called a few more times - he has not picked up my call.

Had I known this upfront, I'd like to think I would not have used the service. You may already see where this is going. On 12/20/24, my snowblower and generator were finally picked up from my home for service after two prior failed pickup attempts starting in early December. At pickup, I was required to provide a $50 "deposit" to a personal Venmo account under "David D" who I assume was the driver in the attached image. So is this $50 actually a delivery fee collected by a 3rd party? Shortly after, I received a parts quote from Patrick over the phone regarding my snowblower. This quote was in addition to the $50 "deposit", something that had never been disclosed beforehand. When I questioned him about it, he claimed he thought he had told me upfront. He had not. Patrick also promised that the work would be completed that same day if I paid immediately. It was not. I did not hear back from Patrick again until 1/6/25, when he told me that only after power washing the snowblower did he discover that both tires and a cable needed replacement. He then stated he would only charge me for the parts, not labor. However, when the unit was finally returned to me on 1/18/25, it was clear it had never been power washed or any new replacement parts of tires or a cable. Photos I had taken for the initial quote show the same dirt, the same tires, and no evidence of a new cable. The attached images show both pick up and then a closeup after delivery showing old tires and dirt where a quick power washing would have removed it. When I requested a receipt to confirm the services and parts provided, Patrick responded by text asking me, "How much did you pay me?" The invoice he later sent did not match the parts or amounts he had previously quoted by text. This would indicate that he is not keeping records and he likely just made up an invoice with random parts totaling what I told him I had paid. Additionally, when I declined service on my generator after receiving his quote, I was then informed there was a $50 diagnostic fee. This fee had never been disclosed upfront. I attempted to contact Patrick by both email and text to get his response to these issues, but he has not replied. Summary: - initial pickup took more than two weeks - quote for parts was misleading - declining a service may result in a "diagnostic fee" - was told that immediate payment meant imminent work, it did not - paid for additional parts that were not installed - they had my machine for almost 30 days - payments for the business are made to personal Venmo accounts - record keeping is suspect - no response if you have an issue

Terrible Experience - Unreliable and Unsafe Work…read more Review: I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Jose Nieves Electrical. I hired him to handle some electrical work in my home, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. I strongly advise against hiring him for any electrical services. Here's why: 1. Lack of professionalism: From the beginning, Jose Nieves displayed a complete lack of professionalism. He repeatedly failed to honor his commitments and showed a lack of respect for my time and concerns. It was evident that he prioritized other things over my urgent electrical issues. 2. Unsafe workmanship: The most alarming aspect of my experience was the unsafe and shoddy workmanship by Jose Nieves. He connected neutrals and left live wires hanging out of boxes without conducting proper checks. I expressed my concerns about the safety of my children, but he disregarded them completely. It is absolutely unacceptable to leave a house in such a hazardous state. 3. Failure to complete the job: Despite multiple reminders and promises to finish the work, Jose Nieves never followed through. He ignored my calls and texts, leaving me in a state of uncertainty and frustration. Eventually, I had to cancel the check (which I had paid in full before work started), realizing that relying on him would never result in a satisfactory outcome. 4. Threats and unprofessional behavior: To make matters worse, Jose Nieves resorted to threats and unprofessional behavior when confronted with his subpar work. He yelled at me and even threatened me with a gun when I mentioned the unsafe conditions he left behind. This level of unprofessionalism and aggression is absolutely unacceptable. 5. Financial and time loss: As a result of Jose Nieves's incompetence, I had to seek the services of another electrician, to fix the issues. This resulted in additional expenses and unnecessary delays in completing the job. It's clear that Jose Nieves's lack of professionalism and unsafe practices cost me both financially and in terms of wasted time. In conclusion, my experience with Jose Nieves Electrical was an absolute nightmare. His unreliable nature, unsafe workmanship, unprofessional behavior, and failure to complete the job left me highly dissatisfied. I strongly advise against hiring him for any electrical services, as he cannot be trusted to deliver safe and reliable work. And I apologize for this rant, but I had noticed he added you as a friends and I wanted to warn you.

I had a problem in my 3 family in Worcester. Flickering lights and touchy circuit breakers in the 2…read morepanels that serviced the basement. I called Nieves Electric and they were able to fit me in that afternoon, on a Tuesday. Friday was the other option. Jose Nieves is a Master Electrician, and has nearly a dozen associates who can be called in to cover any job. He took the panel covers off and pointed out some loose circuit breakers, tightened the screws on a number of them. As he was putting the panel cover on the right hand box, the 100 Amp switch sparked. Suddenly this was a very serious situation. He shut off the power to the basement and got on the phone to have an associate come in. While he travels with inventory, he had make a run to get 2 panel boxes to replace the bad ones. As you can imagine, an old 3 decker has tons of wires in it. It took a few hours to get everything taken apart, replaced, fixed, tested and okay for service. I was so grateful I suggested I would take care of the pieces of wire and old panel boxes, and recycle the cardboard boxes that held new panels, but Jose and associate swept and cleaned up, without leaving any trace of the hard work from doing the installation of new panels. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate Nieves Electric. Without the new panels there could have been a fire or further damage. I recommend them highly. Jose is a good guy and I trusted his assessment of what was needed, and the quality of his work.
