They fixed my engagement ring several years ago and it has hold up without any issues.

That's the only reason for the 4 stars. We really must be respectful of worldly consequences. Not just because of that, but because of other "colorful" reasons, I made the drive and braced myself for an unpleasant customer service experience. Boy was I wrong! Kennedy, my new personal jeweler...greeted me shortly upon entry. I was interested in taking a closer look at class ring wraps since I recently purchased my first-ever class ring to commemorate the completion of my PhD. The ring wraps were at the front of the store, which was also quite convenient. I spent a little more than expected, but boy was it worth it. Add to that, Kennedy gave me personalized service that I look forward to using and recommending for as long as she's a jeweler!

If it tooks someone 2 minutes to fix it, they are moving SLOW! I needed the little loop soldered back together that holds my cross on the chain. (Btw-it's sterling silver not gold) The gentlemen was friendly - but said it would cost me about $75 because they had to turn the machine on. Needless to say I was shocked. I also enquired about a ring that has 2 small diamonds missing. I was quoted $150.00 - $20 for the 2 stones and $130 for the labor. Again...shocked. *Now here is the interesting part to this review. I called on 8.21.25 and asked how much it would be to fix my cross and said this gentlemen said "no more than $25 and would take about 1 hour. I could leave it and run an errand or two and come back." I am very confused now. I would really like to do business here but now I'm just not sure. Still on the fence... If I decide to return I will update my review.

The…read moreclock was not usable, but not without the best efforts my Father could muster and teach himself in northeast Texas during the late 1960's-1990's. It just sat from ~ 1996 until 2004 when I decided there was too much history for it to sit silent. With the limited internet in '03 I quickly determined Mr. Headrick was the best man for the job and asked him to travel 25 miles to my home. His initial assessment was the clock had been neglected, would require a total going over, but he was willing to do it. He gave me a price range and I said OK. He took the works and weights, and left me with instructions on how to restore the case. After about a week he called back and asked "Did this clock ever run?" I assured him, despite all the Jerry rigging (the brass weight cables were replaced with nylon rope) it did for at least 40 years. It interfered with my Father courting my Mother in 1940 since it "announced" curfew. He said EVERY pinion bearing was so rough he was amazed it ran. He did a complete overhaul including replacing the brass weight cables (which failed sometime in the 1960's) with stainless steel and brought it to the house to set it up. That is a very critical and necessary for good operation of a clock. He continued to tinker with it for several hours. I was afraid "the meter was running." It wasn't. I had him out twice for routine maintenance. No surprises. I've been to his shop in Austin and acquired parts for other projects...things you can't get any place else... at nominal costs. When it was time for my third service call I learned he'd moved to College Station. I called anyway. All I needed was a routine 5-year check/lubrication and was hoping for a good reference. No need, he came, same charge as always. Just a 170 mile house call. And he remembered everything, including the history, about the clock. This clock gains or loses maybe one minute/month, depending on the weather. At least a dozen times I've been talking on the phone and the party on the other end heard the clock and commented how accurate it was. To sum up...If you have a good clock you treasure and you can get Mr. Headrick to work on it, do it. He is a square guy that does nothing but quality work. His "agenda" is he loves clocks. I do not think you can find anybody else better.
