We went here to look at men's wedding bands and were totally creeped out by the cheesy sales approach. All the rings were marked up to ridiculous prices. As we looked at each one, we were told about the "great deal" the salesperson could offer us, which generally amounted to about 75% off the advertised price. For instance, when we asked to look at a ring advertised to be about $1,200, the sales guy said he could cut us a special deal and offer the ring at the low, low price of $300. Who does Samuel's think they're fooling? That ring was never worth $1,200. We went and bought a comparable ring at Gordon's non-sale price of $250. I feel bad for the sales people at Samuel's, because they do seem to be nice people who want to help out. I'm sure they know their customers aren't stupid and feel embarrassed about having to be a part of their company's manipulative pricing practices. read more

Great new store and awesome employees. I have always gone here to get jewelry for my girlfriend. Today she went in to have her ring reshaped since it was starting to get an oval shape. Greg did an amazing job reshaping it, he also cleaned it so now its really sparkly and shines. Greg made us feel very welcomed and gave us great information about jewelry. Let me just start out & give a shout out to Greg Kruse, you are one of a kind! Not only did you assist my fiance & I in purchasing a ring but did so in the most respectful, truly helpful, most immpressionable way. My partner & I are not from Texas, we are from California but we will definitely come back here again. My partner proposed to me on Christmas. Prior to that, I obviously had no idea but after the proposal based on what my partner had told me (without a ring) he had a negative encounter in other venues when crunch time came. Long story short, if you want the proper guidance, understanding individual that actually truly cares about your special moment. I highly recommend Greg Kruse. If my partner knew about him earlier he would have definitely gone to him first. I guess everything happens for a reason. Greg doesn't rush you, he's all about quality over quantity (I can't vouch for other venues let alone other consultants unfortunately). Granted my partner and I did not have a budget in mind, but I have simple likes. I don't like to over the top rings, I'm just a simple gal that wanted a ring that fit my personality. My fiance and I went here to pick out my engagement ring. The sales people were not at all pushy and ACTUALLY LISTENED to what I wanted. Other places we visited were super pushy and just wanted to make as big a commission as they could, which ended up driving us away. The manager and sales associates at Samuels were considerate of the aesthetic that I wanted as well as my budget. I would like to give them a HUGE thank you for helping me pick out the perfect ring!
