A guy came out and gave me an estimate. He was supposed to call the next day to schedule the removal. He never called, even after I called him again to prod him. I finally checked Yelp and found Santos with his good reviews. He came out quickly, gave a fair estimate, said he could do it the next day. He arrived a little late with his truck and small crew but went right to work and did the whole job in just 3 hours. I had expected a lot of chainsaw noise but they did a lot of cutting with handsaws, using the power tools mostly to cut up and grind the wood. Very impressive work and a great personality. For those of you who also had a bad experience with this company, make sure to file a complaint with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs: https://njconsumeraffairs.state.nj.us/file-a-complaint/ E-Z Tree Care's proposal for my property included: (i) the removal of a tree in our back yard, (ii) removal of brush; (iii) flush cut stump; (iv) removal of all wood; and (v) grinding of stump and all visible surface roots from 3 to 5 inches below grade. On the first day, the crew did all but grinding out the stump. Joe demanded the immediate full payment and promised to come back the next day. They never came back. As a threshold matter, E-Z Tree Care's website indicates that it is licensed and insured. E-Z Tree care is not licensed and the owner won't provide a copy of his insurance policy. Also E-Z Tree Care advertises a guarantee on its website that states the company is "[t]he Most Thorough Tree Care EVER... GUARANTEED or it's FREE!". I was wholly unsatisfied with EZ Tree Care's and demanded a full refund. The owner (Joe) was extremely argumentative and began screaming that the work completed was "good enough." Joe and E-Z Tree Care, thereafter, ignored my demands for a refund and never came back to finish the job. In the end, I had to hire a real professional to come out to complete the job (to the tune of $350). Be forewarned.

They are very neat -…read moreall debris was cleaned up (I think the yard looked than before their arrival!) and they were super efficient - I've seen other professional crews take an entire day for the work they completed in 3 hours all for a great price. My landscaping was in tact - my biggest complaint with previous companies. I have tried several companies because I have a wooded lot with a lot of dying mature trees on an acre but Drew and his team really differentiated themselves. I HIGHLY recommend Expert Tree Service.
