They left a horrible mess that took us four hours and 10 bags of top soil to repair. They just threw the sod back on top that left a huge mound and we had to throw all of the sod away and start over. They also did not dig in a reasonable straight line that would have made the repair a bit easier. Instead, they dug a ridiculous curve that made no sense. They used a young kid to do the digging. I was told by the owner that his son was a "wizard". Well, we didn't get the wizard, we got someone who didn't know what he was doing (young kid). The job was not done in a way that would have made the yard repair easier for the homeowner.

So they came to my house to do absolutely nothing but stand and talk about how he can send me someone to fix my problem for more than my refrigerator cost brand new. I thought that seemed a little steep so I called out another well driller. He tested the tank and found everything was fine, he did some more inspecting and found it was just a clogged filter and it would cost $5 plus the service fee of $90. It was the bad filter keeping g my pressure down. I still paid Thayer the exorbitant $125 service call but will never call them for anything again.

Ran right over our well cap and cracked the housing. I think my cursing was echoing up to a mile away, as angry with myself as I was. We had John from HL Thayer out today and he replaced the cap and sanitized our well for a fair price and was VERY customer-service oriented, explaining not only this procedure, but questions we have about our current well equipment setup. We just replaced the pump and tank in Oct 2011 through another company, and while they were nice folks, it turns out the installation they did for us is less than optimal. Some companies would have seen this as an immediate selling opportunity, but John instead took the time to walk us through it all, and recommended we just continue as-is until replacement becomes necessary, at which point we will reconfigure more optimally. Well, THAT is how you build customer relationships and not just make a quick sale - by establishing trust and educating your customer. Also, on a more personal note, he assured me that he was expecting much worse, because most times when well caps get run over there is far more damage - and that made me feel a little bit better about my boneheadedness yesterday. HEY! Psychological support at no extra charge! :) We will be using Thayer for all of our well needs moving forward. Recommended!

I was having some electrical shorting on my Cat Skid which ultimately ended up with no power from…read morethe key to my fuse panel. Cody was able to locate the short in the electrical harness between the two and fixed the loop. I was extremely pleased considering that after I explained what was happening to the Cat mechanic that he thought it might be the ECM, which runs about $5k.
