When it's raining or too hot out, this is the place to take your kids. It's an indoor playground and arcade, perfect for those kids with high energy. They offer daily and monthly passes. Before entering, a waiver needs to be signed. Don't forget to wear socks! Or you would have to purchase some there. They have food and drinks onsite for purchase. There were rooms available for birthday parties; reservations would need to be made. There was a section with tables to eat and drink at. Our favorite section was the toddler area; this area is for children 3 years and younger. For the big kids, there were trampoline areas, indoor playground, and various arcade games. Hosted our 3 year olds birthday party here today. I'm really not sure what the negative reviews are about as everything was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. We had the pleasure of having Gabby as our party host. She really made the experience seamless and took care of a lot for us. We booked a classic party - brought in decorations and a cake and Flippo's took care of the rest. We had kids from 8 months to 9 years old and every single kid had a blast and all the parents were blown away at how well the party was handled and how clean everything was. I was blown away to see how horrible this place has become. As you can see from my post from 2 years ago (last time I came here) I gave this place a 5 and after going today with a group of 8 (4 kids, 4 adults) I was highly disappointed and will not be returning. Upon entering, I told the woman we have both a teacher and military in the group which they offer discounts for, but she said no, not during the summer. Just during the school year. Okay, weird, but fine. I proceed to say okay that's fine I have the 20% off Yelp check in and she said no, we won't honor it. I had it pulled up on my phone, right there in print and she still said no. She said "we will not take any coupons online like from that Yelp place or Groupon or anything like that". This place was a 30 minute drive for us so we decided to bite the bullet and stay. Gross. Floors are sticky with stains everywhere. Handles to arcade games have not be cleaned or wiped probably ever. It was hot in there and the padding that the children fall on, climb, and have to crawl on haven't been cleaned in years. It felt gross to be in there. The bathrooms were a mess and not kept cleaned. This is a facility where children of a big age range play. Meaning they crawl, run, climb so you expect for the place to be sprayed down and sanitized on the daily. Not here. If this is due to new ownership, I really hope they take down all the coupons that are online because it was extremely discouraging to arrive somewhere all the kids excited and be told "no we don't accept that" 4 different times, pay full price and play in a disgusting area. I came here for a mommy and me preschool class with my 2.5 year old son. This class is taught by Mrs Beth who is very animated and does an excellent job of keep the kids focused. The class is 10.00 and is held in the first party room in the dining area. But enough of the class and let's talk establishment. Flippo's is located in an older shopping plaza in sunrise that needs a good facelift. The curbside appeal of the building definitely needs some upkeep. I honestly was questioning whether the inside would be cleaner than the outdoor appearance. The indoor play area has things for kids of all ages and even a designated toddler area. There is also a cafe portion but I did not purchase anything from there so I cannot comment on their food. Overall my son had a great time in the class and playing in the toddler area after. I removed two stars because the ladies at the front desk told me that their restrooms are out of order for the time being. Besides an establishment not having working restrooms is absurd, I'm pretty sure that it's against the law to sell food and drinks and not have a restroom.. unacceptable, especially with a bunch of children and babies about. read more

I've been here before but this time my kids are older. They had so much fun. We were there over 2 hours. My kids are 3 &6 years old. We went on a week day. It wasn't crowded so I was very happy about that. But I know it can get crowded. It's an indoor playground with slides and basketball hoop area,baby area and laser room. And another fun room. Both were free to go in. They have party rooms. And seating if you order food or snacks. I noticed a few lockers they also have cubby holes to put your shoes. Everyone needs to wear socks. Then you step into the actual place after paying almost $20 per child to find how disgusting and unkept the actual facility was. My son had a blast! This place was crowded on a Saturday, but that was expected! Staff was great and friendly. Only issue is that they need more help. I waited forever to order and receive my food because the same staff took orders and prepared the food. Food was okay, but that's expected. I think prices are reasonable for entrance and food! Tip - bring socks or pay $2.99 for some. They also didn't enforce wearing a mask or social distancing, but they did provide hand sanitizer. I used to work a the Flippo's Sunrise location and was pretty surprised about what I experienced. Of course, every establishment has its kinks, and I am no position to lie to gain recognition. This is my honest review. I give this location a strong 3 star rating. The kitchen doesn't serve everything they offer on the menu, the arcade games have their days where they glitch or don't work, the arcade games are also very over priced in my opinion, and the A.C. in the play area was a frequent complaint I received while my time there. Also make sure to ask every possible question when booking a birthday party because depending on certain factors, it may not be worth the money. But that goes for any place as well. To end on a positive note, the one positive thing I can say about the Sunrise location is that there are a couple of workers who have been working there for a long time that are always willing to help customers with any concerns. They make the most out of the tools that are given to them since it is the smallest Flippo's location (correct me if I'm wrong) and it shows. Shout out to Paola! Things to Watch Out for: - Groupons are NOT accepted during the summer (June to September) - Annual Passes are WORTH IT! Saves time at the front desk and money. - Outside food is NOT allowed and will cost a fee to bring in. - Make sure to bring socks! They sell socks for $3 if you don't have any. No they do not have to have the grip things. - It is NOT the young workers' faults that they are understaffed, IF they are understaffed, so please be patient. - They allow you to look around before you decide to pay for the experience. Not every kid likes what they see. - They play KidzBop so the music is age appropriate. Might get annoying for some adults - The cheese pizza has ALOT of cheese on it and the fries are very salty. Groupon find. 7, 8, and 11 year old went. They had a blast on the playground. The lazer room they liked too but I couldn't even see the lazers they were so faded. Place smelt so strongly of chemicals it was hard to be there. The cooking class IS NOT a cooking class. It's a meal the staff prepares and puts in bowls for the kids to put together and eat (waffles, tacos). Tacos were good but again they literally grabbed a shell, meat, cheese, large pieces of lettuce, sour cream, tomatoes and grabbed a Capri sun and boom you're done. Spent more time coloring their hats while no staff was around. There's about 10 games. Prizes range from 25 tickets and up. The kids a good time on playground because they're kids - they find things to do there to make it fun. This "cooking" class was fine for 5 and under maybe. It was our first time here last weekend, my son was a little bit scared at first (he is under 2y) but I guided him through the playground and he had fun overall. He loved the basketball area. The place was not too crowded. The little toddler area was closed because of the rain, but parents and children were going in anyway, regardless of the employees warnings and the "closed" sign on the gate. Honestly the only reason I keep coming here is bc I sometimes get coupons in the mail for free admission, lol. Plus if you check in on Yelp you get 20% off so I end up paying only 11 bucks for 2 kids to play as long as they want. If not for that, I wouldn't come at all. It is dirty here compared to other indoor playgrounds. Also, they have these two play rooms...one has lasers & the other is called Time Freak...they NEVER work. Like ever. Every single time I've come here either one or both rooms haven't been working. I can't even tell you what they are supposed to do. The carpet in these rooms also smell really dank. Like the carpet is in serious need of a deep shampoo & some air freshener. I never see any of the employees walking around making sure kids are safe or playing well. I understand that ultimately it's the responsibility of the parent(s) to watch their child(ren) but there should be at least one worker walking around making sure, for example, there aren't any grown a$$ kids playing in the area designated for babies (which I've seen almost every time). I've never tried the food so can't speak on that. The times that I have gone it hasn't been crowded. Also I have never experienced any rude customer service. So hey, for $11 it'll do just to get the kids out the house. But I wouldn't recommend this place if you want a nice experience. If the kids are getting on your nerves and you need a cheap place to take them for a couple hours to release some energy, this is the place for you. read more

Very very impressed with this place today. Manager Gabriella was very welcoming attentive and showed us the place. As soon as you walk in the cleanliness was what I noticed. The small office in the from allows for an easy check in. It isn't a huge place but for young children before or after nap it's perfect! Igor in the kitchen was probably one of the nicest people I've met in a long time! I have to say he made me one of the best pizzas I've ever had and I was born in NY! I purchased a groupon for the Sunday cooking class and the class is a complete joke. They only pour yoghurt into plastic cups and added granola... then the other little project was a strawberry short cake, where they only added the whipped cream and some strawberries on top! The only worth part of the groupon was that they could use the playing area for all day if they wanted! But other than that don't get your hopes up with the classes. I've been coming to this flipped location for years and wow have things changed. A place that use to be so accommodating has now changed to a place that charges you even to charge your phone. I have never been asked to wear socks and today I was asked and charged for a pair because they want to keep the play are clean. Ok well that rule applies for only some people. This place NOW will literally charge you for breathing in there. Best part is that I bought a coffee and they wouldn't even let me drink it in the entrance of the place. Beware because the new management is only worried about how to make more and more money. This place predominately caters to the age range of 5 to 12, I'd estimate. My wife and I brought our 20-month old because they promoted how they have a "toddler area," but the toddler area is pretty small and there wasn't a lot for him to do in there. To make matters worse, there were numerous "bigger kids" in the toddler area that made it very unsafe for my toddler to be in there with them. The bigger kids' parents weren't supervising them and the employees who work there are the stereotypical representation of apathetic teenagers. The staff at this place seems to be in the age range of 16 to 17 years old. They'll begrudgingly assist you as they roll their eyes if you ask them for some assistance, but they otherwise try to blend in with the walls in the far off corners hoping to be left alone. They don't walk around, they don't enforce rules, they don't supervise, and they don't really seem to be old enough for me to expect anything otherwise. I can't blame them, they're teenagers; but when you have a bunch of rambunctious older kids in the toddler area ruining the toddlers' collective experience, something ought to be done. An owner or manager needs to make smarter hiring decisions rather than looking for the cheapest labor. But then again, you sign a waiver absolving them of all fault if something should happen, so that may explain the lack of structure and order. We eventually gave up on the toddler area and walked our son around the "big kids" area, which was a lot more fun. Ideally, we'll have to wait until he's older before we can really enjoy this place, but considering the cheap price it costs to get in, we'll probably be back before then anyhow.
