Heard this place was good and had been featured on TV or something?? So expected great things here and they certainly delivered. Nestled in the middle of a cute little downtown street. Place is on the small side, but we came for late lunch so was not that busy. We sat right down at the bar top. Got great service. Got the double cheeseburger and fries. Did not expect the burger to be as big as it was but it was so freaking good I had no problem devouring the entire thing. Shared an order of fries with my husband. Glad we did, the order is huge. So big they serve it on a sheet of parchment cause it's all spilling over. And they were good! I normally don't care for fresh cut fries cause they're never crispy or seasoned right but these were!! I just kept eating them. Burger was seasoned perfect, it was juicy and the bun held up to it just fine. Oh my lord this was such a good meal. My family went to Flips for the first time. I was told their burgers were the best around. The burger was good. Definitely not the best burger I have ever had but it was definitely fresh. The fries came out in a huge serving, but I wasn't a huge fan of them. They were soggy and a little burnt. The service was really good. A really great burger stand in Sulphur Springs, Texas. I wound up here accompanying my husband to a court hearing (he's an attorney y'all chill). A nice, clean establishment and the cooking line is VISIBLE to all (I love to be able to see my food being cooked). The portions are HUGE (Texas style). My husband was taken aback that the small fries looked like they can feed four people easily. My burger was delicious but the star of the show absolutely had to be the chili cheese fries with grilled onions. I will absolutely return if I find myself in Sulphur Springs again. read more

When the new owner took over Burgerland, he said he would not change the burger. He spoke about how much there would be little change in our local paper. Well I am sad to say-he did change the quality of food. The burger I had tonight was cold, a pre-formed malnourished piece of meat with a bun , and little condiments. The patty is no longer a handmade patty. The fries are also different - no longer hand cut . They still have Potatoe skin on them but also store bought as too many fries cut uniform . They need to decrease the quantity and go with quality on the fries. This used to be our go to burger place. Now I would rather have my Whataburger burger than any at Burgerland. I will say - the owner is very nice but he needs to keep his word on " no change " in quality. read more

We made the trip to Sulphur Springs, Tx from Louisiana for my daughters 16th birthday. While checking out the area we came across this burger joint. I ordered chili cheese fries and the reds hot steak which when explained to me was a 2/3 lb burger patty with cheese, onions, jalapeño and other goodness that would have made this fat guy drool. The chili cheese fries were awesome. Hot gooey cheese and just the right amount of chili. I added on some mustard and it was a hit. I am sure the hot steak would have hit the spot too but somehow the grill guys missed the order on the ticket the waitress had written. My mom and wife both opted for single patty burger combo and both burgers came out delicious according to them. We were pressed for time so I decided to deny they grill guys offer to make the food free of charge. All in all this place had great food and the staff was Grade A top notch!! read more

Prices are excellent. Restaurant is very clean. Established in one of the historic buildings near the town square. Drinks were never empty. Waitress, Lyndie, did a great job. Come here. Now! Tried this little burger place and was not disappointed! The menu is simple and classic-- quality food at quality prices. The burgers are great and I loved the patty melt. The portion of the fries were very generous and a small size was enough to feed two. Delicious *real* fries tasted amazing and the special seasoning available on the table gave them an over-the-top taste. The staff was very attentive and refilled our drinks before we needed to ask for it and made sure everything about our meal was satisfactory. The chili cheese fries that I personally referred to as Mt. Chili Cheese Fry Rushmore, were bangin!! The patty melt was pretty good, the burgers were good sized. The chili might not have been homemade (it's like Sonics Chili) but it's really good!! My only complaint was they served hot fries in a styrofoam container, next time I will request it be lined with their paper. The staff and service was AMAZING!! First, SO glad they have tables in addition the counter seating! Nice location off the court house square, attentive and nice wait staff, good simple menu - burgers and fries and not much more! Burgers are really good, and they do fresh hand cut seasoned fries. Great hole in the wall type atmosphere with great simple cheap food. BTW portions are HUGE! My hub and I each had double patty burgers but couldn't even finish the REG size fries we shared. BE warned- Large fries are HUGE! This is our go-to burger place while living out here. read more
