Flirt is this superb little lingerie shop that has a girly vintage thing going on. It makes you want to dress up like a retro pin-up, which you can actually do here. Flirt's atmosphere has a lot of character, just like the actual underthings. This isn't a store for everyday undergarments, but definitely a perfect place for something special and glamorous for the bombshell in you. Think old Hollywood satin and lace and those little kitten heels with pom-poms on them. Not only do they sell the prettiest bras and underwear, but it's actually fairly priced... especially when you compare it to the usual Victoria Secret stuff. I shopped at flirt for Lingerie a few weeks ago. The day I was shopping I tried on a slip over my clothes for size and said I would try it on again when I got home because I was recovering from surgery and it was too painful to remove my clothes. No one told me about their return policy until I called and said that I had tried it at home and didn't like the fit and wanted to bring it back. (Slip was $295) I was told by the owner over the phone that they don't take returns unless it's for store credit and that their return policy was displayed at checkout. The return policy was in a 8 x 10 frame somewhere on the counter. No one ever verbally said are you sure you want to take this are you familiar with our return policy because if you aren't then maybe you should try it on without your clothes on. Finally the store owner said that she would take it back but I would never be allowed to shop in her store again. When I got back to the store to return the item the sales person was exceptionally rude to me and closely examined the slip to make sure it hadn't been worn then told me the next time maybe I should be more careful about my purchases. I felt like a criminal and although I believe they have very nice merchandise I do not believe that I was treated with any kind of courtesy or respect. BEWARE IF YOU SHOP THERE read more

This shop is magical. I stopped in here to find a gift for my friend's bachelorette party and the two people working were very nice and helpful. Full disclosure: I'm hella queer so sometimes when I go into lingerie stores I feel a little out of place, but when I stepped in here I felt immediately welcome! They were like, "want some champagne?" and I was like, "Is this real life?" IT WAS REAL LIFE. PRETTY THINGS AND CHAMPAGNE. YOU GUYS. I have driven by several shops but was not sure exactly what they did it was although I had heard a little on the radio about it. I stopped in with a girlfriend and Sara worked with both of us for fitting. The selection is amazing and the fitting was relaxing and fun and low pressure. I checked out their location in North Loop and found it closed. A couple days later I made my way to this location on Snelling and I am so glad I did. I found the cutest little lingerie shop and the lady working was incredibly sweet and helpful. I came in looking for thigh highs and she showed me the variety and also explained the different kinds they had. I picked one that I wanted to try, but there was someone using their fitting room (there's only one little but adorable fitting room). While I waited, I browsed the store and found some sexyass panties, bras, robes, and body care items. My eyes and nose went to the perfume oil. Oooh! While waiting, the lady working offered me some free champagne while I was browsing (free champagne on Saturdays). I like Flirt, I really do. They have some of the nicest, retro-est underthings around. The shop girls are always friendly and they have a cute little change room. My only issue is that they don't seem to have a whole range of sizes. They don't seem to go beyond a DD (E) in most things. I wonder if it is me -- if I am expecting them to be like the places I used to shop for bras in NYC (Journelle or Intimacy) where they had a bazillion sizes and trained ladies to help you find the right size. If your're in the mood to feel girly, Flirt is the place for you. The shope is small, and walking inside feels like you are stepping into the 1920's. Everything about this shop is girly and delicate. Just looking through the lingerie makes you feel sexy. This is one of those places that should probably be reserved for special occassion purchases since most items are over $60. I happened to have a gift card, so there were no excuses. The only strange thing was the dressing room. There's a door on the back wall and I think on the other side is a bathroom for another store. Absolutely horrible customer service and down right crook. Jessica the owner told me, that after my husband purchased a $367 lingerie set for our anniversary, That the missing piece to the Set(the garter belt would be in with in a week in time for our anniversary). Two weeks later, and a week after our anniversary, the belt was still not in, when I called and asked when it would be in, she told me that the business was based on cash flow, and she did not have enough cash to order it yet(despite that she had our cash). At that point in time, I asked her to just refund the money if she had no idea when I would be able to get the set. She told me "no", and that was that. I'm still waiting for the resolution, I did contact the Better Business Bureau. All I want is the product, or my money back. I would highly suggest going elsewhere. Quite disappointed with the lack of selection. They didn't have much to pick from at all and seriously, most of their bras and panties costed upwards of $70 each! They did have some other somewhat cute things (like pajamas and stuff) but even those were in the $120-$150 range. I made a $268 purchase and was told I had 2 weeks to return it , never stating for store credit only . After 7 days , never opening the bag , I returned to to Jessica , the owner of the shop , and was told " store credit only " . I never looked at the receipt . She adamantly stated it says on the receipt . My original plan was to be an amazing returning customer with future weddings in my family . With this policy in place it gives me no reason to return . I understand those few customers that need this policy .Just sending out a warning about the return policy in case you aren't aware . Every time I go to Victoria's Secret I find myself wishing that there were some competition. It's not that I don't like anything that they have to offer, but every time their PINK section expands by an inch I shrink back a mile. Flirt may not be the perfect answer - it's typically a bit more expensive and the selection is less "everyday" than most of what VS has on their floor (underwear with giant bows on the rear notwithstanding, of course) - but it certainly provides a welcome alternative for me if I want to buy something unique. The retro, slinky, glamorous old Hollywood vibe that the store has is also a big draw for me. It's fun just to browse. Everything I've ever purchased here has proven over time to be really good quality and well worth the money that I spent (construction, material and design considered). The owner also has a really nice selection of accessories and jewelry, at least some of which I believe is by local artists/designers. Last Christmas ('08) I got a great pair of cashmere elbow length winter gloves and another pair of ribbed wool elbow length gloves on clearance and it was a great deal - I think I spent less than $35 for both. I came into the Boutique and was amazed. With my mixed heritage I have curves for days, that can be hard to tame when you are looking for a specific look. The owner was beyond nice, she rolled up her sleeves and helped me try on anything and everything. And I mean everything. She had a "Your body is beautiful, let's dress it to show it off." Instead of the, "Let's squish and pad every part of you, so you look like a fake model that doesn't exist." mentality.
