Throughout this ride the captain shares the history of the area, facts about wildlife and his funny jokes! As you can see by the pictures I uploaded it is definitely a sight to behold. We saw native birds, beautiful eagles, turtles and yes lots of alligators! After we arrived back we had dinner at Blackwater Inn again a magnificent ending to the day. The price is 25.00 per person which isn't a bad price. The boat is clean and in good shape and even has a bathroom on board. The trip lasts 2 hours and is packed full of humor and facts about the st. Johns and Florida in general. I learned a whole bunch of things I never knew and I've lived in Florida for 35 years. We saw alligators, birds, manatees, and local flora and fauna. We saw several bald eagles and even went into an alligator nest with 20 / 30 babies scurrying around. The whole experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in two hours of humor and interesting facts about Florida.

To say only that "we had a great time" would be an understatement! This is a well-run operation using great boats in an absolutely beautiful part of natural Florida. The houseboats are small (you did see that the business is named "Tiny Houseboats," right?), but they make up for that in their ability to get into places on the St. Johns River that few other boats would dare to go. The owners - Rick and Carrie - have the vessels well-maintained and perfectly-equipped to ensure a wonderful river adventure. They are easy to pilot, and use next to no gas at all. Received a request from the captain to change the date on July 7th. We booked on the date because it was the first day of a 2 day Red Snapper season. We denied the request. The captain cancelled our booking claiming he already had another trip booked. If there was a mix-up, fine. Notify us immediately--not a week later when we'd have a hard time finding something else. Oh. he did offer us a 5 hour trip at $250 higher than his regular price. I don't recommend doing business with someone this unreliable.

I had some concerns because although my daughter is a strong swimmer she can be flighty. Mark her instructor was very personable. He has a calm demeanor about him and jolly at the same time. It is clear he loves to dive and teach. My daughter said he has a special way to explain things that make it extra fun. I think Mark was very patient and he let her wander around and take some time to look at everything in amazement, rather than constantly tapping her on the shoulder to get her back on task. This made her experience much more enjoyable and she is totally in love with the underwater world.

This morning, I went fishing with a friend and we departed from Dunlawton Boat Ramp. Unbeknownst to me I dropped my wallet at the boat ramp. Not only did my wallet contain my I.D, credit cards, and checks, it also had a substantial amount of cash in it. A short time later Captain Aaron found the wallet at the ramp while taking his charter out for the day. Captain Aaron then made several announcements on his VHF radio to identify the wallet's owner. Once he returned to shore he then went through the wallet and found a contact number and was able to get in touch with me. I then met Captain Aaron at his house where he handed my wallet back to me, which still contained all its cash. I could not have been happier and more thankful for his good Samaritan act, and it's a testament to Aarons true character. The next time I book a fishing charter I'll be sure to book with Top Notch Adventures, and I hope you'll do the same. Fish on Captain Aaron, and thanks again.

As the date came near, it was clear that water conditions and fish activity wasn't going to cooperate. Mark (Captain/owner) worked very hard to arrange a different type of trip and kept close communications with us to ensure we were getting what we wanted. We agreed that a shorter trip closer to shore would work best. The trip was flawless. Mark had us on the fish almost immediately and we had a great day fishing. Trip included trolling and bottom fishing. Mark was constantly asking if we needed anything, if anyone was getting sea sick or if we wanted to try something else. Mark goes above and beyond for his clients. I highly recommend this place!
