I heard about Allure Dance from a couple of people and read some reviews but it was the website and the introduction video by the owner that got me to sign up for my first class. In a way her story resonated with me and I said if she could do it then so could I. She was compelling, warm, and inviting. She made pole dancing seem like therapy and since joining I've discovered it very much is. I look forward to my classes each week. Before signing up for my first class I browsed the website and got a really thorough feel for the place. The Q & A section answered many of my questions. Signing up was easy. The step by step instructions are very easy to comprehend. I signed up for one of their Saturday morning classes and got there 15 minutes early to fill out paper work. That's when I met Andrea, one of the instructors. I knew off the bat that she was the instructor because the way she moved around the front office commanded respect. She was awesome. She made me feel welcomed and confident even though I felt really awkward at times. After that first class I was sold! My body felt stronger, I felt amazing, and after meeting some of the other students and hearing their success stories I knew this is where I wanted to be. I have a new respect for pole dancing and dancers. These women are physically and mentally fit and strong which is what I want for my mind and body. I got a complete work out and had major fun doing it in a sexy, alluring, way. A couple of days later I signed up with their Unlimited Membership and was allowed to use my first class payment towards my new membership. If you've been thinking about pole dancing and wondering if it's for you, give Allure Dance a try you'll be happy you did.

I wish that I could literally give them zero stars…read more First off. The address is for a tattoo shop. I booked a class through Groupon and when I got to the address they sent me IT WAS A TATTOO SHOP! Then when I tried to call the phone number they emailed me. It was also the wrong number. So then I had to search on google for a phone number to at least one of the studios in Orlando. When I called it was an automated message pretty much saying that no one is going to answer the phone so any info I needed I could find on their website or I can just text them and they will get back to me. Also, when I called the number an "digital assistant" texted me asking what I needed. One of the options was "get Human" and when I press that option, they said that someone will call me back and to give them my phone number. So basically this entire studio is ran by literally no one and their customer service does not exist. And when I thought I found the right studio (with literally no help from anyone) it was closed, even though the closing time was 9pm and it was 7. I had a class booked at 8pm. Honestly find a studio that can actually answer a phone. I have literally never been to a place that has an automated message telling the people calling that they only answer through text. Unbelievable.

Bonus: the Sunday class is free, just sign up online. In addition to yoga, the studio offers pole dancing and I can't wait to take a class.

The instructor was teaching spin tricks and told me my pole was able to spin when in fact I told her to please unlock my pole in order for it to spin. I told her I had never worked on a spinning pole and she insisted "I was ok to spin, the pole is unlocked and I just need to push harder." I didn't return due to the lack of education from the instructor being nasty to me and the sense she was literally trying to hurt me telling me push harder knowing my pole was LOCKED. yes it is typical to get bruises while polling but for someone to intentionally tell you to do something knowing it could hurt you. It's just simply nasty .I really wasted time & my money! I knew the pole was locked and should have reported the instructor. I would rate the place 0 stars if possible. The pole class consisted of more stretching than doing any of the pole work.... If you're a woman of color DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY PLEASE RUN!!!

So I first when here because I got a groupon that gave me a certain number of classes for a…read morediscounted price. At first I was really into the studio, I could get yoga and dance all at the same place but once I decided to I was interested in a membership that's where the fun ended. The girl who sold me on the membership quoted me the wrong prices (obviously lower) for what I wanted to sign up for. After about a couple weeks the owner saw that I was taking all these classes that the girl told me fell under my membership but actually did not. The owner was then rude, forced me to pay the $10 more, even thought that's NOT what I was told I was signing up for. Then I find out about all these hidden fees they don't tell you upfront, and it's was the biggest pain to get out of the membership once I signed for it. I'm still so disappointed because I actually did like some of the instructors. Do yourself a favor and don't get roped into their mess, there are plenty better studios out there.

I've been a couple times, and while I enjoy doing yoga, I can't say I enjoy doing yoga here. It's not a bad place per say, it's just not somewhere I would go normally. (I have a Groupon that allows me a certain number of visits to several local gyms/studios.) First, if you go here expect to be upsold. I get that that's how business work, but it felt somewhat aggressive here and it was a turnoff to the. If your business is that awesome, let the business do the talking and then remind the people how awesome it is, but please don't try to convince me it's totally worth it. Second, there is a dance room and sometimes your somewhat peaceful yoga class may be interrupted by the beats from dance classes. This didn't really bother me too much, but I think it's worth noting because there are people who do yoga to relax, and dropping the bass doesn't really relax everyone. The room that you practice yoga in is fine, but there's a wall of mirrors that you face, which I personally really don't like. I don't need to see how big my butt is during Warrior 2, but I can see how some people could find them useful. The room is also quite rectangular, which I find to be an odd shape because then it can be difficult for people on the perimeters to watch the teacher. As far as the classes are concerned, I thought they were fine. A very positive aspect is that I have never felt judged by any of the instructors or other people in the class, which is great. The classes, in my opinion, lean more toward the fitness aspects and less toward the spiritual/mental, but I don't think that's necessarily bad. The classes are not super vigorous, but they will cause you to break a sweat, especially if it's the Candlelight Yoga class. In short, I think that this is one of those studios that you either like or don't like based on your personal preferences. I am not a huge fan, but there's nothing inherently wrong or bad about this studio; I just prefer a different yoga experience. Overall, 3 stars.
