I've never found a musical theater dance class so I planned to take the Tuesday one with Alyssa if I recall her name correctly. We did a song from Princess and the Frog. I have a newfound inspiration I didn't even know it was a thing until Orlando's very own musical theater dance classes! It was awesome. Packed class. Front desk had good customer service. Salsa Heat dance studio has several locations spread out through Orlando, this one specifically is…read morelocated inside Gold's Gym in studio 2. The ballroom in here is huge for salsa practice so it accommodates more dance partners and more dance room. They have beginners class every Monday and Wednesday night at 7:30 to 8:30 and intermediate class at 8:45 to 9:45. The instructor is an amazing dancer so it felt kind of intimidating at first coming to this class but then she warms everybody up by showing everyone the basic turns/ footwork. Just like every other salsa heat school you have to dance with everyone there to get a feel or different dancers so the guys can learn how to lead more and the ladies can learn how to keep up the tempo. I recommend this place if you are willing to sharpen up some salsa moves and are willing to make it all look easy.

This, my friend, is not your average dance fitness workout... this is an experience in itself! There are different levels you can take. The most basic class is called "Break Down" where the instructor will literally break down the moves of a specific routine. At the Orlando location, Elisa and Renee are musical dance geniuses. Both are accomplished dancers and will totally rock your world with TONS of self-made routines. I have only taken classes from Elisa and Renee, but I know there are a few other great instructors that teach the classes as well. The dances are set to current, catchy and just plain 'ol freaking awesome jams. I'm not lying that it feels like you are IN DA CLUBBBB when the music starts pumping. The classes literally fly by! You have tons of fun, sweat like a PIG and leave with a big smile. I highly encourage anyone to try out a class. Just remember this motto... there are no mistakes, only solos!!! :-)

The music is exactly what you'd want to dance to in a club. The studio is kept dark and is outfitted with neon lights and great speakers. Bonus: there are such good community vibes here. Very nasty to other dance studios. Way to teach your children good sportsmanship. The owner should be mortified at your behavior. Furthermore, many of you left garbage including leftover food and half filled drinks in the auditorium!! I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day. Well back here today and the nasty parents are here as well! The problem is they are sooooo loud that you can't enjoy the performances. They are proud and should be but please be respectful of other dancers and their parents! I'm noticing we are all applauding your students but not one of you claps for any other students!!!!

I'd be careful with this studio…read more... They talk a lot of hype about their programs and that their faculty is the most "wanted faculty" in the industry. When in reality, their faculty isn't even remotely involved in the industry nor do they teach for any known or established studios or companies. The programs are not at par with the other programs at the top dance studios. A big reason for that is their lack of willingness to change with the times and branch out. If you want your child to be a good dancer, sure, take them here, but if you want your child to be an incredible and successful dancer in the dance industry, take them somewhere else that is more up to date with how to teach and promote their students. As for the director, she "preaches" the word of God, but over the recent years, the studio has lost a huge chunk of their really good dancers. They all went to other studios because of drama at the studio or even because some felt the studio wasn't "practicing what they preached." All I have to say with this studio is, be careful.
