I chose her solely because she was the only local photographer to offer a "mini" session for senior portraits. So, I had no idea that I also was getting a true professional and very accommodating person! I was so happy with the results. I had a very specific idea of what I wanted my son's senior portrait to look like, but I also wasn't quite sure how to achieve that look. Lisa helped me work it all out! Her mini session was such a great value. I knew my son would only wear one outfit. I knew I wanted a head shot. I knew it would be a simple but important photo session. She was extremely easy to work with (because I had a lot of concerns of not getting the perfect shot and lots of questions about how all this senior portrait stuff worked). She took so much time with me to explain things when I didn't get it right away. I knew it was a moment that I had to capture. Living in San Antonio, TX however, I knew I would be taking a complete shot in the dark hiring a photographer. In the end, the website for Emerald Heart Photography "spoke to me" more so than any other, so I contacted them. After exchanging a couple emails (which were answered almost immediately) and a quick phone call with Amanda, I had a session booked with her; all done from 1000 miles away. She even had a couple back up dates penciled in just in case the weather became ornery that week. Simply put, Amanda couldn't have been more flexible and accommodating. This wasn't exactly the easiest gig to pull off either. There was a bit of a covert action necessary to get set up, while maintaining the element of surprise for my son's girlfriend. Amanda pulled it off flawlessly. The final product? I guess I don't know what I was expecting, but I was utterly blown away by the quality and caliber of Amanda's work. She captured the special moment for my son and his fiancé (she did say yes) so perfectly, looking at the pictures even a couple months later can make this tough guy have involuntary moisture discharge from his ocular cavities. She and her husband Troy came down to Como Conservatory to photograph our wedding last weekend. The weather was atrocious and there was a huge lack of communication from the site. Even through that Christine kept a smile on her face. She made us feel comfortable and was so good with our 9 month old son. Our wedding was on Sunday, and we had our Sneak Peek on Monday. I would 1,000% recommend her to anyone who asks!
