I was picking up a few holiday sales items for next season. I intended to spend more time in there shopping however, a young mother and her little boy were in the store, the child was running all over the place with the mom walked around on a call with the speaker phone on. It really killed the calm atmosphere I usually get to enjoy in Kirkland, I wish an employee would have tried to correct that. I will still continue my shopping at this location.

I wish I had read these other reviews before purchasing my bedroom suit from Hanks. I gave the…read morebusiness two stars because the furniture itself is nice, and exactly what I expected when I purchased it. However, customer service is really nonexistent. We purchased the San Mateo King storage bed because I really liked the drawers under the bed and needed more storage in our condo. We paid for delivery and assembly. The furniture arrived on time, and the delivery guys "assembled" the bed. It looked great, but upon sleeping in it that night and over the next 10 days, it felt very rickety and creaky. So my husband and I (both in our 70s) removed the mattress and the platform that the mattress sits on to check out the frame. Turns out the slats were not even screwed down to the bed rails. There were holes drilled in the slats in preparation for screwing them down, but the assembler simply ignored them. So not only were they loose and sliding around on the bed rails, the bed rails were not sufficiently tightened either. I called Hanks and explained the situation, and they said they would have to see when they could send the guys out to fix it. The associate manager that I spoke to said he would talk to his manager, and they would come up with a solution and call me back. Guess what? He never called me back. Actually, I had called Hanks four times regarding this situation, and not once did anyone call me back, despite repeated promises to do so. It has now been one week since I spoke to the associate manager, and he has not yet called me back to schedule the repair. I called later to try to speak to him again, but he was out on the floor, and would surely call me back. Nope. Evidently it is a policy at Hanks furniture to never call back a customer once you have their money. We will never purchase from Hanks fine furniture again, and suggest you avoid them as well.
