I learned later, with other craftsmen, that with correct tools and consideration of my desired outcome, it was not necessary to butcher my floors on their edges. This flooring company tore my floor up. I did try to go cheap so I went with them. I did not know that when we negotiated price, I negotiated away the sealant ti protect floors and allowance to butcher my floors. I was told back/forth 2/3 coats on floor. With/without sealant? Angel said 2 coats sealant. Soon dirt is well in the grains of wood. I know because I can see where a rectifying area was made with the sealant compared to everything that sticks with floor. I have question is it the @Bona #Bona product. My first rodeo. Fixing will cost me an entire 675 sq new floor. It aches my heart. I don't have that kind of money and I wanted a nice outcome. If I had been informed more, I would have work harder to have paid more instead to spend so much more now fix in a few years after I save to do it. Why are workers not honest?!!!! Please inform the consumer the cost of cutting price. I have regrets that will cost me now to redo and seal my floors, and more, if I want to resume my useable sq ftg because you ate it away to close the gaps you butchered. Please do not do this to another customer again. Just be honest even if you don't get the job. I am so hurt.

He and the day laborors he hired swore it was a three day project which is unheard of in such a small space. "On average 1,000 sq feet of vinyl flooring by a two man crew with little to no issues takes 1-2 days! However, my floors are more uneven, the baseboard molding was never completed! In those expensive three days despite me removing all the flooring beforehand, taking their garbage to the dumpster and removing most of my furniture for "less labor costs" and yet they did not finish the two hours of work. How long would it have taken if I didn't move a finger? Two weeks?? Look at the pictures of the work. I got average product planks (Alex swore were thicker and a better lock but it was the same inexpensive planks I wanted from Home Depot) 3 full days to get installed by day laborers and was not finished! Remodeling my bathroom with an electrician, plumber, tile guy and general contractor was three days and less than 5,000. I am quite sure the judge will side with me after I show the pics and what I paid! Because I have no issues with paying a $100 court fee and letting a court decide.

DO NOT UTILIZE. A TRULY WRETCHED BUSINESS…read more We have used Kanters on three occasions. The first two times were fine, which is why we went back a third time. The third time was a disaster and they could not have been less accountable or less accommodating. In short, Kanters sent us the wrong colored LVT flooring, which even if we were willing to accept it, was defective and not capable of being installed. In any event, my wife and I were immediately willing to accept a different color LVT flooring that Kanters had in stock so that our construction was not set back weeks (we still had to pay our contractor for two days of work reserved to install this flooring, which now could not occur). Rather than doing what was necessary to immediately deliver this new LVT flooring, Kanters said it did not have staff to do that but eventually "agreed" to allow my wife and I to do all the manual labor ourselves (picking up 25 boxes weighing 60+ lbs each). Making it almost comical, Kanters had the gall to ask that we also bring back the 25 boxes of wrong colored and defective flooring so that they could get their money back from the manufacturer (which we did). Thus, my wife and I performed a half day of manual labor to correct Kanters' mistake because, apparently, they do not have adequate staff. When we asked for a credit, this is a quote from Brian Kanter: "These type of positions are the reasons that most small business no longer exists in our world. For some reason society has the belief that perfection exists and that a manufacture never makes a defective product or sends the wrong product. I wish that was the case but it's just a fantasy." Mr. Kanter went on to equate us transporting 50 boxes of extremely heavy flooring to the time he had to return a broken TV to Best Buy. In other words, don't expect that what you get will be what you ordered or even correct. In the end, the "credit" they offered was that they were not going to charge us extra for having to pick new carpet to match the different colored flooring (something he admitted they otherwise normally do). I think the moral is shop here at your own risk. If everything goes fine they are a run of the mill flooring company. They hardly answer their phones and take days to respond to emails. But, if things go poorly, you better expect that they will shift the blame to their manufacturer and/or to you. They will not be out of pocket - you will (just as we are).

Beware! We hired…read morethem to install unfinished flooring including sand and finishing 1000+sqft flooring. It's a big job (more than $20K quoted.) Juan (John) quoted for entire price upfront but somehow separated proposal in two, calling "stage 1" first installing unfinished flooring "stage 2" second sand/finish/stain. After they did installation of unfinished floor in March they collected money saying "the stage 1" is completed. He assured us they will come back to finish and we need to make appointment 2 weeks in advance for those dates. We called them in April to schedule the "stage 2" within 4 weeks. After a few weeks (2 weeks in advance), We contacted him to confirm the date but it turned out he didn't put us on his schedule on the date we asked. His response to set the date became clogged saying he is busy. I called him a week before the appointment to reconfirm but then he said he needs to "update the estimate" saying it will take "more days". Even though he knows very well that nothing has been changed. It was clear he waited until last minute and started taking advantage of the situation raising the price as he knew we desperately need the floor to be finished (we need to move in!). We got upset (who wouldn't?) then he suddenly behaved as if he is "a poorly treated victim" telling us to find somebody else, saying "you have one week to find new people." Now we know why he separated the estimate/bill at the beginning. He made plenty of money when he installed unfinished flooring calling it "stage 1" (that included some advanced payment for "stage 2" and was trying to make even more money raising the price at last minute. Now he claims all the work in the contract "stage 1" is done so he has no obligation to come back as there is no signed document for "stage 2" This is obviously a scam. Judging from his attitude, it seems this is not the first time he played this kind of game before. We are stuck with unfinished floor and move in date is delayed till we find new people (or we pay whatever he want to take advantage of). We learned that This company has changed their names multiple times in the past (American floor master, AtoZ flooring, etc....) I think Juan has a history of this type of scam. We need to file complaint officially to the authority but wanted to save future victims by writing this. Don't be deceived by 5 stars reviews posted by his friend. There is another customer who rated this company 1 star, that looks true.
