Terrible workmanship. I wish I could post pictures. Ive had other floor experts telling me that was the worse tile job they've ever seen in their careers. First, wrong tile was delivered. They charged me over $900 to send back to warehouse. Had to go to Lowes and pick my own tile and I guess that pissed them off so the workmanship was terrible. I could have done it better myself. We called around to several different floor installers and received a number of quotes before deciding to go with Floor Covering International. Prior to settling on FCI some other installers had changed quotes on us multiple times for no justifiable reasons. FCI was able to start the installation sooner then everyone else and the installers where a friendly bunch of guys. One of the installers is a budding Pavarotti because he was singing while installing our tile. We fed our installers and kept them hydrated with sodas. The final result is very good and we are quite happy to have a smart looking backsplash in the kitchen. The previous backsplash installer was a handyman from Thumbtack and it was a complete disaster. FCI also installed plank porcelain tile in our front room and tied it into to the rest of our existing flooring perfectly. Looking forward to future projects with FCI. read more

Cons: Clean-up post-project was terrible. I found floor pieces, a plastic bag, and other little pieces in my front yard. Inside the house, there were many remnants (pieces of carpet that had been removed, many nails here and there, other debris, and a razor blade my cats were kicking around). They also did significant damage to the bottom edge of a cupboard. The salesman who came to inspect the final installation (and collect the final check) didn't appear to care about any of this. (Beware if you have pets or small children!) Pros: The final product is beautful (once I repair the damaged cupboard - I bought a set of wood-colored magic markers and hope they will cover the damage). read more

I stayed at my favorite local getaway at Manhattan Beach Marriott. I noticed they did a room and lobby renovation. My room looked SO GOOD. I was extremely impressed with the new flooring my room and the lobby because I just finished redoing the bedroom floors in my home and needed to redo the floors in my office in Scottsdale. I wasn't that happy with the job that was done in my home and I didn't have time to go to the flooring store, etc since I live pretty far away. We recently used Floor Coverings International Chandler-Gilbert to install LVP throughout our house. Let me start with the negatives. 1) They do not have a showroom. I might be old fashioned, but at first I was looking for a store to go into. I will say, after having them out and seeing the products in my own lighting was helpful. I grew to really like this part of the service 2) They were not the least expensive. They were 15%-20% higher than two of my bids but less than the highest bid. 3) This might be nit picky, but the first day of installation they were 30 minutes early. This irritated me a bit. A girl has to put on her face. The reason I put 5 stars is the installation. The product and workmanship look fantastic. The new baseboards they installed finishes everything off nicely. The installers were polite and very professional. They cleaned up, moved furniture and reset the toilets. The owner Debra was on top of the project, interacting with me and handling any of my small OCD issues. I had spoken to a reference prior to selecting them and had read the positive reviews. They met/exceeded my expectations. read more

Initially, we were really impressed with Floor Coverings Int'l Deb is a super nice and informative salesperson who actually took time to go over the process, help us pick out our designs and offered advice. They came in lower in price than the three other bids we received so we decided to move forward with them. Since it was a small job, they were able to get us on the install schedule pretty quickly, which again was a plus for us. The crew was supposed to arrive at 8:30am the first day of work but ended up not showing up until 11am. I was annoyed at this because I had taken off work to be there and meet them. The workers seemed nice, but there was an obvious language barrier that made it very hard to explain to them what tile was going in which room (you would think they'd have notes on this but they looked to me to direct them on which was which). The install was supposed to take two days, but the workers left early the first day (after showing up late) and left the rest for the second day. Second day rolls around and they arrive on time and finish up by 1:30pm. They left the area very dirty (grout debris everywhere, not swept and left the tile and grout outside on my front porch). It just felt unfinished. However, we were willing to overlook that as we were happy with the install and how the tile looked. We had originally paid Deb half the cost of the job to get started which went along fine. When the job was done, she said she wanted to come by to see the finished project and pick up our final payment. She gave some days and times that worked and we settled on a date. That day came and went and Deb didn't show, didn't call, nothing. A week later she texted and said that instead of her coming by, if I could send her pictures of the job, that would be fine and I could pay for the remaining balance over Zelle. I was out of town at that time for a funeral for an immediate family member so I told her I'd do it when I was back. I am so glad I waited. The day we got home, we noticed that a tile in our living room had cracked near the edge. It felt like there was air underneath the tile and subfloor and it cracked right through. I reached out to Deb and she assured me that they would be back out within a few days to fix it. They did come back (they were an hour early this time and I wasn't home yet so they waited around until I got home) and fixed it right up. We haven't had any issues since, and have paid the remaining balance. All in all, we got what we wanted. I just felt as though there should be more professionalism and following up on designated times and days. Yes we were a small project, but we felt as though we were an afterthought sometimes because of that. read more

Let me start out by saying that I don't know anything about anything when it comes to home anything. I'm not a homeowner myself, so I've never dealt with any house projects, large or small. My aunt & uncle have a place in AZ that I've been staying in as I go in and out of the area for work (my boss lives there), and they asked me to help with some remodeling they were doing. Then they went off on their cruise halfway thru the project. Nice of them. :-D I got really great care and service from Debra, who was my main point of contact. Maybe she took pity on me because I was totally clueless, but she was so sweet and helpful! She communicated with me constantly and helped manage things down to the last detail. My family is absolutely frugal but still wanted high quality work... this is their home, after all. And this place is older with its share of minor damages and general wear/tear, plus they have 2 big doggies, which means everything takes a beating over time. The new carpet and tile turned out beautifully and the project finished on time (critical for me as I had to get back home to LA) and within budget (critical for my dear homeowners). After living thru a fairly straightforward project, I got a glimpse into the potential headaches of fixing up your home - even a small project is a lot TBH. But working with Debra was a relief as she eased a lot of the pain and panic that both my aunt and I are prone to (sad but true, love u auntie). I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. First of all they sent a guy out to give us a quote for backsplash in our kitchen. After signing his quote, we did not hear back from anyone for about a week and a half. We made a call and talked to Debra,the owner of the company. Come to find out, the gentleman who gave us the quote, was fired. He gave us a quote of $190.00, found out later that there is a minimum of $500.00. A couple days later, Debbie came out to our house,gave us a quote and said she would get back within a couple days, once she could set up one of her contractors to do the job. After about another week of waiting, we made a call to Debra and she set us up for the following Thursday and Friday to have the back splash installed. I took a scheduled 2 days off from work to have this project completed, which was told by Debra that is how long it would take, which was awesome! With the appointment set for 9:30 the following Thursday, I patiently waited. I received a phone call from Debra at 10:25, telling me that the contractor would not be showing up that day, because his tools were locked up in storage and they were doing construction at the storage facility that day. Debra called me up at 1:30 that afternoon and told me that she found another contractor that came highly recommended by one of her other contractors. She gave me his phone number and I made contact with him. He told me that he would be at my house at 3:30 to start the work. He was late and didn't get to our house until 4:00. This contractor along with his brother showed up, came into our house, saw that we had all of the material along with instructions from Debra of what needed to be done. The 2 brothers asked me if it would be okay to go and get some food and drinks, then they would be back at 6 o'clock that night to start the work. Well 6:20 rolled around and still no sign or word from the contractors who were supposed to show back up and start the work. I made a phone call to Debra and was not a happy camper. She asked me how the work was going and I told her that her contractors never showed back up. She made a phone call to them to see what was going on. Well their plan was to not even show back up at our house. At this point my blood is boiling and I didn't have to many nice things to say to Debra. Next thing that she offered was a discount for the price of the installation, and that she would find us another contractor and get back to us before close of business Friday afternoon. Romberg I said in the beginning that communications not very good with this company? Well I called Debra up the following Tuesday, because she did not get back with us like she said she was going to do on Friday, and told her that we wanted our deposit back. Her comment to me was, "you were on my list of people to call today." To bad I have to give a 1 Star rating to post a review, but there's no other option, because I wouldn't do that if I could. Time to find a company that will work with us and do as they promise. read more

We found this business through home advisor and the reviews were decent so we arranged for an appointment for their salesman to come out. Glen Copper showed up. A nice British man. Is it just me, or do British accents seem inherently more trustworthy? If you agreed, the focus on the word "seem" is appropriate. We told Glen that we were on fixed incomes, wanted all carpeted areas in our 2 bedroom home covered in laminate wood flooring, and wanted flooring that didn't show marks. That was our most important thing- to not show marks. Glen said he had the perfect product for us. It looked nice and matched our furniture but I questioned if it should have some sheen to it and Glen said no. The price was within our budget, so we agreed to a deal. Glen promised he'd be the only person we'd speak to during the installation as he was "our go to man"and it was "his" crew who'd do the installation and that he'd check in daily. We never saw Glen again. The installation was a nightmare- the team was one worker, he was always late and frequently a no show. Glen forgot to figure in our carpeted master closet. This project took 8 long days. I could go on, but the story doesn't end there. It goes on to this day. The laminate sucks, it shows absolutely every mark. Even cleaning it with Glen's recommended products and method, you can see every swipe of a mop or the towels we have to use to get it dried. Towel swipes, foot prints and paw prints. This flooring never looks clean even when just cleaned. We had to hire a cleaning service and they clean it 3 times each time they're here and hand dry it and it still looks like crap. A realtor came over after the cleaning people had been here and said that we'd never sell our house with theses floors. We can't afford to replace them, so we'll have to end up knocking thousands off our asking price. Thanks Glen and Floor Coverings international of Chandler, who hired him and doesn't stand behind their product. Save your money, your aggravation and never use this third rate flooring company. Wow, these people are beyond bad. Booked 13and of carpet a month in advance, and they were a no show, even tho we told them it was critical that they be there, and that was the only reason we bought their overpriced stuff. They were a no show. Unfortunately we gave them a second chance and have regretted every minute of it. No one showed up the second day but a bedraggled worker fresh off another job, worn out and pissed off. When his helper, that he said was worthless showed up, he left shortly after. We had to beg his guy to stay, and I mean beg so we could get this done. In the meantime our pets were locked in a back room for two days, and yet again because, they laid tack strios all over the house including doorways, making it unusable. The owner didn;t even know if anyone was showing up the next day. We finally got the stuff laid only to have it immediately come loose. bad seams and lumps. The first attempt to have it fixed was once again a bust, as the crew didn't show. The owner seems mistified when you confront her about it, but then explains that they don't 'work' for her. If you sell installed carpet, shouldn't they? Take two... we used her salespersons technique of making them select, he will ask which you choose if your life depended on it. It is carpet for god's sake...and they showed only to have a bad job yet again. The third time the guy did okay, but we wanted them to fix the chunks they took out all over our baseboards. I asked them for this and got an email last night saying she hoped to schedule something today. We tried to hang out so they could make it, planning around them, but no call. The usual crap from this company. I was promised a discount for rebooking with them, but now it is contingent on me pulling any bad reviews. They even have that in the contract that her husband brow beat me into pulling, He interrupted a call from his wife to tell me to get on the computer and 'help' to take down my review. but don't bother with customer service promised except to whine that it isn't their fault and they are so so very sorry. read more

We used Floor Coverings International Chandler Gilbert to redo the flooring in our entire house and also artificial turf in our back yard. Our sales rep was full of energy and very enjoyable. We spent about 3 hours together. She measured the house, backyard and showed us lots of products. I loved the entire process. After selecting, we did need to wait 2 weeks for the install of the grass and about 2 1/2 weeks for the flooring. That was the only issue in the entire process. The crew for the backyard came in, ripped out the old ugly grass and rock and installed the fake grass. It looks fantastic and I'm so happy. What made me happiest was the flooring. We installed new carpet and tile throughout the house. The installers were fantastic and the job just makes the house look like new. We had a punch list to go through. We are quite detailed and the owner came over, took our concerns and finished the entire list prior to asking us for final payment. I needed to replace all flooring except for tile in my house. Amy showed up with samples for hardwood, vinyl flooring, and also carpet as I had requested. We did not find the perfect match so she came another day with more samples. Amy was very patient as I decided on the luxury vinyl and carpet. She came again with all the contracts and carefully went over the scenario from start to finish. Once installation was scheduled the installers showed up and got started. They moved all furniture (we had already removed breakables, anything on shelves, etc.) and replaced according to my wishes. The vinyl installers were different than the carpet installers so it gave us time to move items from room to room. As with most projects, there were a few issues. I was impressed with the repair person who came out to fix the problems. He was efficient and did a great job. The owner of the company came by to inspect and make sure everything was done to satisfaction.
