Tanner and Jeff have been amazing to work with. We were recommended to Floor Depot North from a designer friend and we are so glad we listened and went in and met with them. From the very beginning they were super patient, never once did they try to upsell us or push us into buying something, they never tried the "Hurry up and buy this or the product will be gone" line, and they were so patient after we ordered and our project got delayed by several months. When we started our remodel and there are so many places to choose from when it comes to flooring and they all sell roughly the same product. So for us it really came down to the people we were going to work with and they did not disappoint us at all! We have been buying carpet and flooring from Jeff at Floor Depot North for several years. Jeff recently supplied us with a high end laminate from Shaw for our whole house (except for the bedrooms and bathrooms). It is soooo beautiful, and it's just gets more beautiful every day. I'm so happy I found Jeff and Floor Depot North. We went to almost every flooring store in the valley, and brought home so many different samples. Jeff was very knowledgeable, patient, and not pushy. I was looking at dark oil finish hardwoods, and they just weren't looking right in the house. Jeff picked out two Provenza Pompeii colors I would have never in a million years tried... I trusted his judgement, gave them a shot, and both were so perfect in the house that I had a really hard time picking between the two. After several weeks of bringing the same samples back, and then checking them out again, I finally made up my mind. I couldn't be happier, everything about the wood, service, and installation was perfect. Jeff recommended an installer who was excellent. He was a perfectionist, beveling the edges of the wood so it would line up to the tile perfectly without a T-mold. Not impressed. I went to this store based upon the positive reviews given recently. When I walked in, two men were at the counter talking. I assumed one was a customer, shame on me. I was half-heartedly greeted by the man behind the counter and asked what I needed. Hah! I need my house cleaned, the winning lottery numbers, etc. I asked about a specific type of porcelain tile and was incorrectly corrected by both! The explanation I was given was more like a back pedal combined with a condescending tone. Jeff needed to Google the term. Then I was told that the ONLY porcelain tile he had on hand was tile that appeared to be wooden planks and that I was welcome to look while he finished his conversation with his "boy". As I looked through the 15 or so samples I had to listen to the nauseating details of the Shaw rep's European river cruise, the changing of the guard at Shaw due to retirements, and other useless information. It appeared that Jeff was far more interested in chit chatting with the Shaw rep than he was selling tile. Needless to say, I won't be returning- ever. Oh! And ladies, don't even think about going in for estimated pricing without your husband! Assuming all women HAVE husbands...how caveman-esque thinking. read more

I found what I wanted and he walked me through everything. even when my contractor over estimated and then bailed, Jeff helped me get the boxes back to him and gave me a refund. I bought floors from another dealer. After I received the floors, I needed a couple pieces of trim that matched. The other dealer I bought from wasn't willing to support me with such a small purchase. So, after doing a little research I found Jeff at Floor Depot North. I emailed Jeff Frye, the owner of this family owned business about having him come to my house for a consultation. I explained that I had purchased carpeting from him five years ago and now wanted to make a change. I also included that I needed the flooring redone in essentially my entire house (kitchen, master bedroom, and living areas) which is essentially about 3,000 square feet. I reminded him where I live as he is in my neighborhood and our children attended the same school. He replied and said he is out of the store for about two weeks and does not do in-home consultations. He said I could go into the showroom and look at samples...that his son Tanner was there "but he does not really know anything about flooring." WOW! I replied back to his email and indicated I was hoping to get more personalized service from a family owned business. I said I could essentially look at flooring samples at any other store that sells flooring and wondered what set his business aside from the larger companies. Guess what....I received NO reply. Not even a response with some other solutions. Not a list of referrals to other folks who could perhaps provide an in-home consultation. Nothing. Maybe I'm too old school. Maybe I believe in the "old fashioned way" of doing business and actually serving the customer. Maybe Jeff's business is soooooo busy that he doesn't have the time or the desire to provide service for a relatively little job like my 3,000 square foot house. Maybe having return customers is not important to him. Maybe he doesn't realize the importance of excellent customer service that drives business in platforms such as Yelp, FB and Next Door. First-off, we had been looking at flooring samples at different businesses for almost a year and were getting completely confused. We eventually found Floor Depot North and spoke with the owner Jeff. We told him what we were "kind of looking for" but didn't know for sure. Jeff explained several different options and showed us a lot of samples from the large selection at his store. We ended up choosing a beautiful hand-scraped engineered wood from Shaw. It came in 3 widths, which is something we never thought of until Jeff suggested it. Jeff gave us a great price and the service was outstanding. The new floor completely transformed our house. We will not buy flooring from anyone else! read more

I went to Floor Depot on the advice of friends. What a great recommendation! Jeff is very knowledgeable about all kinds of wood flooring (which is what I was looking for) and made some great suggestions for our needs. He brought out lots of different samples and offered advice about various kinds of wood for our climate - for example, some kinds of wood works great elsewhere, but in our dry climate, not so much. Jeff let us take lots of wood samples home - his samples are large enough to get a good idea of how they'll look in your rooms. Seems like it took me FOREVER to make a decision, but Jeff was never pushy or aggressive. When I finally placed my order, he called the next day to say that the manufacturer had had a "bad batch." When we re-ordered, the install date couldn't meet my schedule (my fault, not theirs) and he graciously refunded my money. The GOOD news is that when I came back to place my order a few weeks later, he had some NEW wood that worked even better in my rooms! He recommended an installer (Oliver), who came out no less than three times to look at my layout and talk with me about the installation. He also was extremely knowledgeable and kept me calm when we found some uneven areas and had to do some 'grinding' to level out the floors. He was a perfectionist and lined up the wood to my existing tile perfectly - with no T-molding, like you see in other, lower quality installs. In addition to the floors, Oliver's crew replaced our existing baseboards throughout the first floor with new, higher baseboards. Looks fabulous! I have had friends whose wood floor installations have been a nightmare. Installers who don't speak English, leave a mess when they leave, even have just walked off the job! Oliver and his crew were excellent. They showed up on time, communicated with me and left everything spotless.
