I am leaving Double J Plumbing with 1 star where actually I wanted to leave them with 0 stars. My…read moreelderly mother had Double J install a R/O system, water heater, and water softener in her home. They ordered an R/O system kit with a chrome faucet where there was a brushed nickel faucet already installed, basically the wrong kit to match what she already has on her sink. This faucet was necessary to the R/O system as it has sensors and lights on it that tells you which one of 3 filters needed to be replaced. They left without leaving any owners manual, because this owners manual would have shown there was a specific faucet required for this system. I found the part number, looked it up online, and printed the owners manual, where I discovered the absent faucet. They were going to leave her with an incomplete system. After numerous calls, they finally contacted my mother and had ordered the correct faucet, which was changed when Branigan (?) arrived to pick up the check. He did tell my mother that the faucet cost over $200 and that he was going to have to just "eat the cost". Another issue with Double J was with their employee(s). They had urinated all over the toilet, toilet seat, and surrounding walls/floor. My mother was extremely disappointed when she saw that. She brought up the issue with Branigan(?) and this had been an issue before and had instructed his employees to go to the gas station or ask permission. In all, my mother's experience with Double J has NOT been a good one. Use caution when using Double J Plumbing. Be on site watching the employees and if you are purchasing new items from them to get all of the owners manuals, make sure everything is done correctly, and they leave a clean bathroom if you allow them to use it.

We rate this business a solid 0- We do not recommend. We received 3 quotations and selected the…read morehighest bid as we believed that she was the best. We were looking for a really good job so investing extra was OK. Boy, was that a mistake. We now have a basement that looks horrible. The first attempt at this job was an embarrassment. The Wonder Woman team came in and tried again. It was better but not nearly acceptable. There are still roller marks all over the place with a few imperfections. Wonder Woman painting has not ever came over to take a look after the 2nd attempt had dried, like she said she would. Also, have her include the paint in her quotation. That way when her estimate is way off, you won't get stuck with that extra charge. She is now demanding FULL payment, or she is going to take legal action. Full payment for a job that looks like an amateur completed, and to threaten legal action instead of working with us and fixing the issue is not professional at all. We have offered multiple solutions or offers, and she has not even replied. If it would have turned out nice, we would gladly pay her in full and have even considered a tip. Other painters have been in and looked were surprised and could not believe that a "Professional" painter would leave this as an outcome. If anyone wants to see pictures, I will gladly share. You can even leave my opinion out of it and come and look at our basement for yourself. She has done good work in the past for other customers, but what differentiates contractors is how they work with you when things go wrong. Very disappointing and now we are sitting with a basement that we cannot afford to have re-done again along with our contractor for trim and doors sitting in limbo. Very disappointing.
