Our 1950s split-level home in Lutherville had old dingy and dirty wall-to-wall carpet since we moved in. Once the carpet was removed, the original oak floors were revealed, which had been badly stained and darkened over the years....including several large stains from the previous owners' pets. The Mr. Sandless team spent a few days prepping and refinishing the floors, and the results are 1000x better than the old carpet! The pet stains disappeared and the dull dark stained oak is now a beautiful natural honey color. They came out to see the project and were able to get me a quote the next day. They completed the construction of a greenhouse in just two days. I also had them put up shelves in my basement, and take care of a few smaller jobs around the house for me. The thing I really appreciated was that they were transparent and made honest recommendations. The custom masonry work they did for the floor of my greenhouse looked great. They really took the time to make sure everything was done properly. They are also properly ensured and will pull the appropriate permits needed to complete the job where necessary. They are super responsive as well and were able to provide me with quotes for other projects I was interested in. They can do anything for you and even construct entire homes. I…read morehad seen some bad jobs by others in the past, but Jason Brown's work was excellent, on floors that had seen better days. He replaced some damaged boards with original wood that was a perfect match. He also worked with them as they moved their furniture and went out of town for the weekend, during which time he completed the job. Jason Brown did an equally fantastic job with our house. We had not moved in, so we all had that to our advantage. He refinished our original early-20th century hardwood floors with inlay strips around the edges, as well as newer bamboo floors in the kitchen. We went for no stain. Jason's knowledge of historic flooring really showed in our conversation during his site visit. He was so professional and accommodating, even though I'm kind of a jerk. The job went perfectly smoothly and quickly, completing our whole downstairs in two days. I admittedly didn't get other estimates, as his price didn't shock me and I knew I could rely on his quality, service and schedule. We couldn't recommend Jason Brown Wood Floors any more highly! The salesman, Scott, helped me through the entire process. He came to my house and measured and called me within a few days with an estimate.
