Unexpectedly situated in a small plaza on Trinity Lane, Flor is a small, but mighty shop dedicated to all things plants! I have been here a few times, some out of necessity or with an agenda, and others out of curiosity or with some time to waste. Either way, always an enjoyable experience. They have a great selection of beautiful plants including small house plants to cacti to trees and even hanging plants. Additionally, they have a few shelves of pots and plant accessories. And if putting everything together isn't your thing, they have a small grab-and-go section with already potted plants! Pricing can be a tad higher than expected, but the plants and pots are all of good quality. Service is always friendly. The owners are nice, welcoming and helpful. The space is bright, clean and well maintained. Parking is plentiful for the complex. Overall, Flora is a cute spot for the plant lovers or even plant-curious folks! read more

The plant store is really nice with a wide variety of plants and pots. The prices aren't bad and employees are helpful. I came in to get a bigger pot for my orchid that is growing quickly. The employee helped me pick a pot that would work for my plant and said they repot for free when you buy the pot. I made the purchase and she started repotting my orchid. She put it in a bag for easy carrying so I didn't really look at my plant until I got home. When I took it out, I was shocked to see that she had repotted my orchid with regular potting soil. Using potting soil on Orchids can hold too much water can cause root rot. orchids need bark and moss type soil. I would expect a plant shop to know this. I'll continue to use them for my green plants but not my flowering ones. read more

Let's just say it takes a special place, first to sell plant babies and have a knowledge of them, two, to open the store early for potential customers and greet them with a warm smile, and three, to have such a great selection of all sorts of fun things. I did not wait 10 months to contact you about the snake plants. -The snake plants were delivered to my house and planted on Feb. 22, 2022 -During March and April 2022, I continued to stay in contact with your staff because we were buying a few more plants for the rest of the house, along with pitchers and pots. I talked to your staff about brown spots appearing on the snake plants -By early May 2022--less than 3 months after the snake plants were delivered and potted--long stalks of the snake plant were covered in fungus and slim, completely dead, even on new growth -On May 16, 2022, I reached out to your staff and asked for a house visit, specifically about the snake plants -During the house visit, your staff mentioned that fungus can be picked up at the nurseries before Flora even gets them -I continued to buy plants and accessories from your store long after the house visit because I trusted you would take care of the issue -When it became apparent that I would continue to pay your staff to take care of the sick plants sold to me, I finally wrote a review... giving YOU 10 months to rectify the problem So you are the one waiting 10 months to help me, not the other way around. I had been meaning to stop by Flora for a LONG time now, and I FINALLY got to this week and was not disappointed! Walking in, everything was bright and so cute, the plants were LUSH and healthy, and I truly wanted all the pots and other well appointed books/candles/accessories in there. After browsing a bit I bought the COOLEST snake plant and cutest pot for it to go in. The super nice staff member was obviously really knowledgeable about all the plants in the store, and they even provided complimentary potting for my new plant (which was great because I was buying it as a gift for my partner - 8th anniversary gift is pottery!) When I left they handed me the cutest card with care instructions, which I almost didn't take because I was like "I know how to care for a snake plant" but turns out I do NOT know how to properly care for a snake plant so great news for this new lil guy and maybe I can revive all my other ones at home that have been drastically overwatered. I love this spot so much! I recently moved to Nashville, and was desperate to make my home a little more inviting with some plants. I saw this place a couple of times while driving by on my way home for work, and decided to stop in on one of my days off and I'm so glad I did! During that first trip I purchased 2 plants, and the staff was great at letting me know how to care for them, and even potted them for me! I also made a special request for a few plants that I really like, and they went ahead and ordered them, how awesome is that?! And when one of my plants ended up getting knocked over by movers, I went back to Flora in a rush to have my plant repotted and they were so kind and accommodating. So this an adorable plant shop and I like to support female business owners. The design of the shop is wonderful and they have a great selection of books. The selection of plants was surprisingly large for a small shop! They have a gorgeous large ZZ plant but the price seemed high so I thought I would just go with a smaller size but those were $10-15 more than I paid at the farm stand. They sell the brand Good Dirt which is really good but I didn't see pebbles for drainage. I would have liked to ask about the planters - I want to make sure I purchase non toxic products that are safe for my home. Unfortunately the customer service was lacking- they were busy chatting and grinding coffee. The music was loud and the grinder put me over the edge. I had envisioned sitting on the couch and taking in the beautiful plants (perfect for a rainy day) but it was too loud. I would consider attending a class event with a friend so I can get some ideas and assistance. read more

They have a diverse selection of reasonably priced plants and have an array of beautiful modern pots to go with them. They also pot your plants for you! I have visited a few times, and the staff is always super helpful. I have a lot of different lighting conditions in my home, and they have helped talk me through which plants will do well in certain environments. I also really appreciate their advice on how to care for the plants. I wasn't born with a green thumb and need all the help I can get! Love this little shop. They have such a nice variety of really healthy, beautiful plants. Also a nice variety of pots. They'll pot your plants for you and they write out a card for each plant with the name, the ideal amount of light, amount and frequency of water needed. I feel set up for success with my new plants! After the owner contacted me here, I took the time to talk to them about my bad experience. I didn't originally plan to contact them because I've always found that companies hate being told they screwed up. I should have stuck to my original thought and left it alone because they instantly tried to shift the blame on to me. Since, I definitely didn't go home and rip the roots off my plant and I have proof that I know how to properly take care of my plants...I wasn't falling for the excuses they were making up. When I let them know that, they stopped replying to the emails. So just know, if you buy their overpriced plants and there is something wrong with it...they will refuse to take responsibility. Beautiful modern yet simple decor! Great selection of plants, and some flowers. Was intrigued that they sold candles and incense cones! Amazing prices on all plants, you have a selection of more affordable plants (7$-45$), and also more high end prices (75$-250$). They have beautiful pots and pot holders as well which are priced even better. At checkout the lady offered to plant my cactus which I appreciated greatly for no charge since I'm amateur at this all. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because, when she planted it. She did not plant it firmly. Once I got it home, my cactus fell out! No big deal, was able to salvage most of the dirt and get it back in the pot. read more

One word- spider mites! I so wanted to love this store and have it be a go to.....and while the store front is cute and the actual employees in the store and helpful and lovely, the customer service post purchase left a lot to be desired. The morning after bringing a tree home from the store I found webs around my chandelier and the tree I had purchased and upon calling the shop staff realized I had spider mites that had come home from the shop with my tree!!! Unfortunately the store staff are not allowed to help with customer issues so told me to email the owner. Upon emailing the owner she told me to go get neem spray and use that on the plant. I had to go leaf by leaf (eventually found the web of spiders) neem oiling and inspecting for spiders for multiple days as well as spend my own money on neem oil. Between the time and money spent, the tree became a huge burden. The only customer service offered throughout the entire process was that I could spend more of my own time and money to rent a truck and bring the tree back to the store myself for a refund (this was offered only after I pressed for better customer service). No mention ever a discount (or an offer for the store to come pick up the tree) for my hours of time and frustration to try and save a sick plant that I brought home that also put every other plant in my yard and house at risk. read more

Was really excited to check this place out. Just moved to a new house so my boyfriend and I are filling it with new plants. When we got there not one person greeted us, asked us if we needed help. We found several items we wanted to buy just zero guidance or help from staff. We lingered in the shop for about 20 min or so and after waiting on anyone to help us because we could see the front was busy but after other customers left, still, not one person asked us if we needed help so we left. This shop is super cute! They almost always have the new trendy house plant. They're prices are a little high but their customer service has always been fantastic when I have gone.
