Jerri is the best florist in the business! As you can tell from my many photos - florals were a huge priority for my wedding. Jerri knocked it out of the park! I was very particular about the types of flowers used, and Jerri even did a mock trial with me a year before the wedding so everything looked the way I wanted. I was a very detail-oriented bride, so she made sure that all her ideas went by me first. She took her time to explain what would be out of season, and how things would look if we did them a certain way. Behind the reception sweetheart table arch there is a fireplace, and she was so right in adding a pipe and drape! We also initially ordered shorter stands for the round table centerpieces, and Jerri suggested borrowing the taller ones from epic events and they were perfect! One of my bridesmaids is allergic to chamomile, so Jerri made sure to not include it in her bouquet or at her reception table! The only non-issue we had was that the centerpieces were too big for anyone to put in their car! Haha! No worries - everyone made their own bouquets using the many many flowers around the venue to bring home after the party. :) If you are a wedding couple with Jerri as your florist - you are LUCKY! From the asymmetrical gazebo arch I requested, to making additional floral boutonnieres on site and providing unique ideas on how to make your wedding stand out. I appreciated her honesty on some of my concepts because I can get a little carried away :) My only minor issue (minus 1/2 a star) is that due to her busy schedule, her communication can be a bit inconsistent. First off I have to say that Jerri is one of the sweetest, most caring people I've ever met. She went above and beyond for my wedding day and I was completely BLOWN AWAY by her design and attention to detail. She met with my now husband and I a few months before the big day and we had a very good first meeting where she asked all about us and our vision. Her studio is a large space and she has tons of awesome accessories. I had a very specific theme and color palette that I wanted and she got just as excited as I was for it to come to life. Fast forward to wedding day....as I was in the bridal suite I stole away for a few minutes just to walk around and see what was in store. Oh man, there are not enough words to describe how much I loved working with Jerri. My wedding was on January 26, 2013 at Twin Oaks Garden Estate, where Jerri is the preferred Florist. She not only became someone I relied on and loved speaking with, she was my therapist and savior more than once While starting the whole planning processes, I was very aware of what my strengths and weaknesses were going to be. My strengths were being organized, creating tasks, check lists, delegation, budgeting etc. My major weakness...anything that involved "design" or being creative. Signing onto Pinterest to try and get ideas only made my head swirl and stressed me out even more. The pressure to make my wedding unique, creative and special was overwhelming. I say all this because the ONE bridal meltdown I had was over how I was going to make everything look beautiful. I was at the venue crying because I was convinced it was going to be the most boring looking wedding in the world. Bland tables, no color, no creativity. I happened to mention this mini meltdown to Jerri during our second meeting. She proceeded to calm me down, tell me exactly what I needed to do, what I needed to buy, where to find in cheap, etc. She told me exactly what colors would work, what to ask the venue to put on the tables...the list goes on and on. She made me feel so comfortable and helped me be creative with things. All the while not even trying to up sell me on more floral I didn't need. By the way, my tables looked stunning. As for our first meeting, she was very professional and had such an extensive knowledge of flowers. You tell her the date of your wedding, she can tell you what is in season, what will cost more, what colors it is available in, what will last the length of your wedding, etc. I was blown away by how much one person could know about flowers. Myself I have ZERO knowledge of florals and probably couldn't name five flowers if I had to. When Jerri asked me what I wanted I hadn't a clue what kind of flowers I wanted. All I told her was I wanted it to look like a New Orleans plantation during the 1940s. Sounds random but my dress was very "old Hollywood" and the wedding was a mix of those two worlds. She just looked and me and said "done. that is all I need to know". And guess what ladies and gentleman, that is exactly what I got. I got married on October 12, 2014, at Twin Oaks House and Garden Estate, and back when I was looking for a florist, I decided to meet with Jerri Disney as she was the preferred florist at Twin Oaks. Jerri Disney makes the most beautiful flower arrangements for weddings. We used her for our September 2013 wedding and had so many compliments on the flowers. We had quite a bit of flowers and they all came out so amazingly. My bouquet was gorgeous, the centerpieces were amazing, even the way she placed the rose petals down the aisle was wonderful. Everything was done with care and love and you can really tell. Great prices too! She's doing the flowers for my sister's wedding in March and I would recommend her for any bride-to-be!
