During the consultation, I brought in some pictures and we talked about a few ideas that were sort of conflicting, but she just ran with it. It was like she could read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted, even though I wasn't really explaining it well. I was so delighted with the work she did for us- the final product was really amazing!! But what really made me love Stacey 100% was what she did for me on the wedding day. My venue coordinator ended up losing her mind and called during hair/makeup to say that she'd run out of time to set up the decorations I'd made for the ceremony lawn. I was panicking, but didn't want to bother any of my family or friends who'd flown in from out of state and should be relaxing. Planning a wedding is the hardest thing a girl has to go through, however, planning a wedding out of state is even harder! I live in AZ and just recently got married in San Juan Capistrano, CA and don't think I would have been able to do it without Stacey Fitts from Floral Occasions and the rest of her team! She was so helpful and wonderful from the start! I saw her work from her website and other blogs, and since I didn't live in the same state, I wasn't able to have a consultation with her first. Instead, I followed my instincts about her and her team and sent in the questionnaire and a deposit and hired her. My first encounter with her, my mom and I came to her office and I brought her ideas and pictures of what I envisioned. I don't know much about flowers so instead of telling her what I wanted and didn't want, I told her what I envisioned for my wedding and what I wanted the overall wedding to "feel" like. We met only one more time before my wedding where she helped me create and execute my ideas and used her creative imagination to come up with ideas for my centerpieces and what floral pieces she would be putting together based on my centerpieces. Come my wedding day, I was completely relaxed and not stressed at all because Stacey and her team arrived hours before the wedding and set everything up on their own without needing any of my help. We were so excited to have Stacey handle our wedding flowers. It was such a pleasure working with her. Stacey and her staff are very helpful, knowledgable, and are truly passionate about what they do. You can tell that they enjoy their jobs because it shows in the beautiful and unique arrangements that they create. Their flowers were so fresh that I had guests tell me that the center pieces they took home lasted for many days afterwards. We simply asked her for a vintage theme and she ran with it. She chose all perfectly vintage colored flowers and even wrapped them with a very ornate lace. She wrapped our entire gazebo where we got married with the most beautiful display of flowers and decor that I have ever seen. Our entire aisle had rose peddles sprinkled down it. In addition the aisle was lined with strands of pearls and shephards hooks filled with beautiful flowers. She even figured out that my favorite flower was orchids but even though we couldn't afford them she surprised us on the wedding day with customer made orchid boutonnieres. She also setup our tables with amazing candles that went perfectly with the arrangements and venue. We talked with many florists and Stacey was not only affordable but she went above and beyond. Stacey was referred to me by my aunt. (In fact, thats how i discovered my venue - Stacey has done quite a few weddings at a particular venue and I decided to check it out and fell in love with the place immediately - So, I have MANY reasons to love her and be grateful for her!) - Anyway, back to the point - I was hesitant, at first. I had never done this before and I had no idea what to expect, I was worried she wouldnt 'get' my style and my vision. After an hour or so of talking -at her adorable studio- I was confident in my decision. She was the first and last florist I met. She listened, added a ton of ideas when i couldnt really describe what i was going for - she has an eye for this stuff and knows what will and wont work with particular styles - and she always made sure we were being true to me and my vision. Also, I was on a budget and she did ALL that she possibly could to work with me on that - whether it was cutting back on certain details and adding something a lil more affordable yet still fabulous, or giving me ideas for DIY projects that i could do at home instead of having her and her crew take care of it - See, she's awesome! The day of the wedding we realized that I never gave her the FINAL seating chart - we had added ONE table - and did not have enough decor/flowers for a table seating 6! I was freaaaakkkkingggg out - but she was super cool and calm and literally calmed me down in a matter of seconds with her positive and calm energy - she was like "oh dont worry about it, we can work with what we have, no one will even notice...." - I had to go back in the room to get my makeup done, and when i came back out it was all done and i truly would not have noticed if I was not told of the situation. My flowers were EXACTLY the colors and style I had imagined and HOPED for! Colorful, VIBRANT & arranged super clean! I will try and post a pic of my bouquet on here. Finally, I had a Persian wedding, so I had this traditional display known as a 'sofreh' - traditionally, the mother of the bride is supposed to arrange, so I had my mom do most of it but I had Stacey add 2 centerpieces and a few little finishing touches - and that was also exactly what i had hoped for :) Bottom line. My daughter was married last week and was referred to Floral Occasions by the wedding venue. They were amazing! We were both incredibly surprised by how beautiful the arrangements and floral and color selections were. The owner, Stacey Fitts, is so sweet and a pleasure to work with. We live out of state and had never met anyone at the venue, The Villa in San Juan Capistrano (another pleasure to work with and such a beautiful setting) or anyone at Floral Occasions before arranging for the wedding. You could tell how much Stacey loves her work, as every arrangement was really a masterpiece. I had Floral Occasions do my bridal bouquet and my Daughter's bouquet for our wedding this past weekend, and our flowers were so incredibly beautiful and perfect. The bouquets had that "Wow" factor. I had found their website after seeing a gorgeous vintage style peony bouquet on a blog, and e-mailed Stacey at Floral Occasions. Stacey was wonderful from beginning to end- she was patient, helpful and very kind. Even though peonies were not in season at the time of my wedding, Stacey was able to re-create a very similar bouquet that was so romantic and beautiful. The photographer and everyone at our wedding was asking who did the flowers. She used beautifully "ruffly" soft florals for the vintage vibe I had asked for.
