One product that I've found superior to anything else, is Floral Tree Garden's Ferti.lome liquid weed killer. I have been using Scotts Weed and Feed for years. Also, I just ended my contract with a well know lawn company because I was so unhappy. Just on a hutch, I decided to give ferti.lome a try. You simply cannot imagine how well it has worked for me. I had nutgrass, crabgrass, and every weed known to modern man. I sprayed this with a pump-up sprayer. And month later, I'm still having weeds die. I second the opinions of others about the arrogance of a business that does not provide voice communications but my complaint is that the eight holly trees I bought for something close to $1,000 were diseased and five died before I caught it. Then they sold me a copper-based fungicide for $12+ that was ineffective. Neem oil purchased on the recommendation of the internet, from Home Depot, for less than $4.00, was effective. Purchased 5 yards of what we thought was a mixture for our garden per the sales guy at the desk. Stated it had chicken manure, compost, lime, etc. Come to find out, it doesn't have any compost, or any manure in it. We told the people at the desk what we were told and it was pretty much shrugged off. No apology or any offer to make it right. We will never shop here or refer anyone there again. read more

He screamed about Wal Mart taking all of his business when I told him that I should have gone there because they stand behind their plants. Initially called looking for St. Augustine plugs. The lady on the phone said they did have them, and when I asked, "enough for an entire yard", she confidently said yes. I left immediately and went up to find only 8 trays. When I asked her, she said it had been busy (not buying it), but to order what I needed and it would be there that Thursday. I did so, once again believing what I was hearing. I did, however, specifically ask for a call if something went wrong and I wouldn't be getting the plugs on time. I called Thursday afternoon to see if we were on schedule, and was informed it would be next Wednesday before they would get them. I was mad at this point, having taken off work a couple days to do the lawn. The lady got nasty at this point saying she had no control over when the order would come, and that it "took three weeks the last time". She had multiple opportunities to tell me that. Once again I was lied to. When I requested a refund, I was told I'd have to call the cashier, and was given a number to call. It went to voice mail multiple times, so I called the main number again. It too was now going to voice mail. I called from my daughter's phone (different number including area code) and the lady answered immediately. Lied to multiple times, terrible customer service, rude employees, and now, probably going to have to go through Amex to get a $1500 refund. Buyer beware, I'd give 0 stars if I could. read more

I bought 16 roses for approximately $30 each and was told to keep the receipts since they would be replaced if they did not grow. 8 died and I returned them. The staff looked at them and told me to "have a nice day" since they were planted too deep. BS! The staff did not thank me for my considerable business over the years or offer any type of replacement. I was livid to say the least. The customer service by the staff was horrible and I found the business to be a bait-and-switch operation. Beware of false promises at this business. I have bought my last planting, fertilizer and more from them. I could not believe how poorly I was treated. I was not rude or argumentative at all, but was certainly incensed with their service and false promise. read more

I have never experienced such bad customer service like I did here today. I am looking for Sunshine Ligustrums. I called them shortly after 8 am when they were should have been open. Got their voicemail. Then I called 20 minutes later. Still got their voicemail. The voicemail said to text them, so I did. An hour later still no response. I drove 25 minutes to Floral Tree Gardens. Two employees present. I looked quickly and could not see what I was looking for. I turn around and I see a male coming towards me and also notice a woman behind the counter playing on her phone. Not on a voice call. I ask them both at the same time if they had any Ligustrums, he replied no sir. I ask them about answering their phone and/or replying to text messages sent. The male shrugs his shoulders. The woman who was rude to us on a previous visit looking for ligustrums never looked up from her phone. Needless to say, I'm never going back. Hopefully lots of people read this and don't give them their business. I'd love for the owner to reach out to me. I certainly hope the woman behind the counter is not the owner. read more

Having been FTG customers over the years, we purchased a pricey (several hundred dollars), mature spiral juniper to keep in an oversized pot on our back porch. Within a few weeks we began to notice some apparent dead spots and stopped by FTG to inquire as to what might be the cause. (Showed them photos of the plant) We were advised it was likely spider mites and were sold a product to mitigate the problem. When the treatment(s) proved ineffective, we returned to FTG again with additional photos to request guidance. We were advised to remove the "dead" portions and continue the treatments. The plant continued to deteriorate. Today we contacted the store and spoke to an individual named Julie who identified herself as a co-owner. She was totally unsympathetic and informed us that the employee that said they would work with us about the tree was wrong. She even stated his job might be in jeopardy for indicating FTG would work with us toward our complete satisfaction. When we inquired with Julie about their applying a credit (whole or partial) toward replacing the tree, we were told that their replacement policy was discontinued three years ago because people abused it. We asked if that policy might be considered on a case by case basis since it was clear that we had endeavored to fix the problem, had brought photos in on multiple occasions, and been told that FTG would work with us. Not only was Julie rude in her tone of voice, she was clear that FTG was unwilling to stand behind their products once they leave their premises. This attitude toward customer service is unacceptable and we will discourage anyone from doing business with FTG. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Floral Tree Gardens! read more

If you are into gardening or just a beginner this is the place for you! Not only do they have an enormous area filled with plants of every kind, they also have the most knowledgeable staff in the business. You can drive one of their golf carts around the nursery to look at the hundreds of plants and trees to find exactly what you want. We started out wanting something that was totally wrong for the place it was to be planted. Once we discussed what we were trying to accomplish, we were give a list of choices. We rode around and looked at everything and came home with four gorgeous gardenia bushes that I know will be the envy of the neighborhood. It was as much fun as it was informative to shop here and I'm going back soon to add to my landscaping with their expert help. Go see for yourself what a great place this is. Don't go here for Sabal Palmettos!!! I had five large trees installed in my backyard; I'm pretty sure two or three are dead; I've been fighting rot and parasites in the trees that they were most likely carrying before installation. I contacted the nursery both via phone and in person several times with very little help. Also, they don't back their trees with any type of warranty. I've had good luck with other plants from them, but I can't recommend them for Sabal Palmettos! read more

I wouldn't recommend them when you can buy the same thing at Home Depot for less than half the price and with much more customer service! For instance I snagged three (3) I said THREE Fiddle Leaf ferns at the end of the season in good health at Home Depot for $7 each while I OVERPAID for one at Floral Tree for $50. I can tell the sales person just pulled the price out of her butt when she saw how I wanted one. Never buy there! Go to Hone Depot for plants that's for sure. Maybe use Floral Tree for some unusual shrub or tree but NEVER buy plants there. Some are sickly too and they want to throw some fertilizer on them when it's actually aphids causing the problem!!!!! Home Depot is the best AND you can return your purchase. You have to haggle with FLORAL TREE AND THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. They just want MONEY!!! read more

I have been a very valuable customer to Floral tree. I have sent them SO much business. I bought several hundred dollars of merchandise this week alone. I spent around 25-350 hours very few weeks. My husband is not capable to help me plant some trees so I had Floral Tree deliver two trees to plant in large planters outside. The guy got out one bag of soil and we couldn't get it broken up. It had SO many roots. Huge roots. He told me it was the last bag on the pallet and so I told him "will you please tell them when you get back how this soil is because I feel they owe me two bags (since he only brought one for the delivery but should have brought two.) He said he would and continued to plant the trees. He advised me today they will not be replacing that soil. I wanted to make sure because they know I am a GREAT customer. I called and spoke with the owner and she said no. No replacement. So, when you want quality, just stick with Home Depot. read more

This place is amazing! The staff is extremely helpful, and they've got an amazing variety of plants and trees in all stages of development. The property spans what seems like 3-4 acres and they will provide you with a golf-cart to cruise around and check out the rows and rows of beautiful flora. I so love this place. It is huge! A nursery so big they give you a golf cart to tour all of the trees and shrubs. I am into bonsai, so I love to tour through and look at the amazing selection of trees. Nothing else like it in this area. This is the best place for flowers in the spring and vegetables as well. If you buy your mulch in bulk like I do, they have a great set up for you to just pull your truck up and they use a tractor to fill you up. Saves a fortune. They are locally owned and the staff is incredibly knowledgable about what grows in our area and how to get the maximum results. The owner does a talk show on WCOA that is full of helpful information. If you are looking for something different, these are the folks who can get it for you. Be sure to check out the pond in the back corner of the property, and visit at different times of the year, something is always in bloom. read more

I do not recommend buying anything from this Business! I bought a Bald Cypress Tree from them two years ago and they planted it for me, I spent over $400.00 on this tree which died a few months ago. I have been to Floral Tree Gardens and love the selection and their willingness to give advice. Yes, I've price compared and I do find them to be a tiny bit higher but in the neighborhood of 10-15%. However, I gladly pay that little bit extra so that I'm not killing the bees on which we depend for pollination of plants and our crops. All the big box stores spray their plants, even those that don't flower, with pesticides (that kill the bees) and I don't want those toxins in my yard, getting into my soil or rubbing off on my pets, or in/on me. read more
